Yandere Instruction Manual: My Wife is World Ending Calamity!

Chapter 101: You Know, Your Lips Tasted Like Strawberries. (Volume 1 End)

Fuck!

Even with my Chaotic Mind filtering out most of the pain, my body was a complete mess.

I had a premium elixir that could have relieved the pain and slowly healed some of my injuries but I knew that after what I had just used, if I stopped even for a second, I wouldn’t be able to move anymore.

Ragnarok was the only Vector technique I had developed near the end of my previous life.

It worked in a relatively simple way.

By accumulating the momentum from the attacks I received and channeling it through my body into my limbs, that momentum transformed into strange runes and symbols that I didn’t even understand and transformed my body with clouds of some blue flames, giving me strength far beyond what my body should be capable of using.

That was also one of the reasons I had chosen the Rune Inscription elective.

I wanted to advance this technique further because I knew that what I had unlocked was basically only the first level of something I didn’t understand yet.

Not to mention, it resonated with my Celestial Singularity Art and allowed me to deliver an attack through both my enemy’s body and soul at once.

Being a Reinforcer, I could never hope to emit my Vector mana outside my body but in the Ragnarok state, I could use it on others...

Even if only slightly.

And one such effect was the ability to block all kinds of momentum from being generated within the body of those affected, essentially creating a form of paralysis for a certain period.

Naturally, if the enemy possessed significantly more mana than I did, they could resist this particular effect fairly easily.

But with Octina’s strength being suppressed this much, I doubted she had enough mana to resist it so easily.

But the technique was simply too unstable and I had only used it when I was desperate. Not to mention, my body back then wasn’t nearly as pitifully weak as it was now.

I could feel my legs barely responding to any stimulus.

Only the arm where I had accumulated the least amount of momentum still worked properly and I used it to drag myself towards Lily.

With every pull, my vision grew blurrier, while fragments of memories from my previous life began seeping into my mind.

Particularly the memory of when something similar had happened before.

I could still remember it clearly.

We had been running from our enemies when Lily tried summoning something she couldn’t control, which had ultimately led to a situation almost identical to this one despite taking care of all our enemies.

But back then, I had her other summons with me.

With their help, reaching the core of that manifestation hadn’t been a problem but the real problem had been waking her up.

No matter how hard I tried... I couldn’t wake her.

In the end, I slumped onto the floor of the manifested spirit’s core. Back then, Lily had reached her hands towards me with a pout as if she wanted a kiss.

And foolishly, I thought her subconscious was giving me a hint.

So I did it.

That was my first kiss with Lily.

And only then did she open her eyes and say,

"Your lips taste like strawberries!"

It turned out she had been awake from the moment I reached the core of that Spirit. She had simply been pretending to be unconscious so she could get that kiss.

...Or maybe, deep down, I had already known the truth and wanted that kiss too.

"What if you hadn’t woken up?"

I remembered asking her that afterward.

She had simply replied with an innocent smile.

"Then just kiss me without me telling you to do it. I will definitely wake up if you are the one kissing me. I promise."

I wasn’t sure if it would even work this time. I wasn’t even sure if I should do it but that was the only way Lily had ever told me to wake her up.

And if I couldn’t wake her, Octina would eventually recover enough to move.

If that happened, I would either die here...

...or be forced to leave Lily behind.

Soon enough, I reached the base of the crystal and using its uneven edges for support, I slowly pulled myself up towards her.

Lily’s eyes were closed, her face pale as she remained half-submerged within the heart crystal, which continued draining her mana endlessly.

And without any hesitation, I leaned closer and pressed my bloodied lips against her pale pink ones.

"Hieeek!"

A sharp gasp came from the direction where Octina had collapsed and at the same time, the massive heart crystal began to fade slowly as Lily’s body fell forward towards mine.

Soon enough, she even opened her crimson eyes and for a moment, she simply stared blankly at me, unable to comprehend the situation.

Her gaze slowly focused on my bloodied lips still pressed against hers and then her face immediately turned beet red as she pushed herself off from my body.

"Y-you... you weirdo! W-what are you doing?!" She stuttered, quickly turning her face away as one hand rose to touch her lips softly. "H-how could you k-kiss me like that?!"

But I simply smiled weakly.

The strength was slowly leaving my body now that I knew she was safe.

"You know... your lips tasted like strawberries."

That was all I could manage before an endless darkness swallowed my consciousness but just before I lost it completely, a bright green status window appeared before my eyes.

Meanwhile, standing some distance away from Lily and the now-unconscious Zenith, Octina couldn’t hide her surprise.

"...To do something like this... that boy really is a playboy, just like Rwar said."

Her manifested body was slowly dispersing into motes of light as a faint smile appeared on her face.

"But he does... seem to care about you, Contractor."

Her voice was barely a whisper as she watched Lily immediately grab the unconscious body of the boy with a worried expression.

With that, Octina vanished completely.

And the two lovers who transcended time fell through the sky together.
