Yandere Instruction Manual: My Wife is World Ending Calamity!

Chapter 99: What kind of husband would I have been if I had abandoned her the moment loving her became dangerous?

Octina’s body was far too fast for me to react to and her battle experience far surpassed my own after surviving for thousands of years.

But her strength was suppressed.

I swung Kosetsu once, spreading its shards around me like satellites orbiting my body while reinforcing my body with Vectors.

Before I could even properly react, she was already in front of me.

Her fist was pulled back as she punched straight towards my gut, her hand slipping between the shards of Kosetsu with fluid precision.

Fuck!

Her fist connected before I even had a chance to dodge.

Despite the pain erupting throughout my entire body and blood staining my lips, I channeled as much of the momentum from the attack through my body as I could before dispersing it into the air, minimizing the damage while storing some of that momentum within my limbs.

Still, the remaining force was enough to lift me completely off the ground and hurl me towards the ceiling of her core at incredible speed.

But she was already there, waiting for me with her body coiled like a spring.

The moment I came close, she released herself and kicked me squarely in the abdomen, her foot digging into my flesh as I came crashing back towards the ground.

I repeated the same process, dispersing as much of the force as I could while storing a small amount within my limbs.

Everything hurt like hell.

And worse, I couldn’t even react to her speed. Not to mention the shards of Kosetsu were completely useless as Octina moved like water.

Despite being suppressed this much, she was still a Primordial Spirit, after all. Even at the peak of my strength in my previous life, I had never been able to defeat her.

If I hadn’t been dispersing most of the damage into the air, I would have died already but as she continued thrashing me around, my body began to feel strange.

Slowly, I was getting used to her speed.

Slowly...

Very slowly...

She was becoming more and more visible.

[Uncanny Adaptation Is Activated]

The status window appeared before me every time she punched or kicked me around and each time, the world sharpened by a very small fraction.

The blur that had been her arm slowly turned into a shoulder, an elbow and a wrist and the shockwave that struck my body a second before her attack stopped arriving as a surprise.

And then, somewhere between one impact and the next, I stopped seeing an afterimage and started seeing her actual body.

Finally, the moment came when everything felt slow as I saw her coming from my left. Her body moved in slow motion as I moved my head.

Her fist went past my cheek and passed through the space where my skull had been a moment ago as the sound of the air arrived a full moment later.

I couldn’t even feel a moment of peace as Octina’s foot came around for my ribs.

Within seconds, I twisted, letting the Vectors drag my body an inch behind as her leg flew past my chest.

Two.

Two attacks.

Out of tens of her attacks I had barel managed to dodge the two.

But I had seen them.

I had actually seen them both times.

Octina noticed because for the first time in five minutes, her expression changed to surprise.

"Oh?"

And that single syllable was the only warning I got before she stopped holding back.

The entire next moment became a complete blur.

She moved even faster, her attacks landing on me before I could even register the impact of the previous one.

I didn’t fly through the air or crash into the floor this time. Every attack landed directly on my body as the ground beneath my feet cracked further with each blow.

Through sheer instinct, I managed to disperse as much of the damage through my body as I could while still storing small amounts of momentum within my limbs.

By now, they were glowing with an intense blue light.

They were completely saturated with momentum, so much that even my bones were beginning to crack under the pressure.

But I didn’t unleash them because the moment hadn’t arrived yet. My mind was completely numb and I had stopped feeling the pain a long time ago.

I hadn’t felt this much pain even when I was killed in my previous life, but my Chaotic Mind filtered out most of it.

Kosetsu had long since slipped off my hands and I couldn’t even get time to summon it again.

By now, her entire core space was filled with craters across both the floor and ceiling.

And then, she finally stopped.

I was a bloody mess, my viscous blood clinging to every inch of my body as my hands trembled violently, the sound of cracking bones echoing from them.

"Give up already, boy!"

Octina’s voice echoed throughout the space as she stopped a few steps away from my body lying on the ground.

"Why are you even trying this hard for a woman you met only recently? If I hadn’t been holding back, I could have killed you a thousand times during these last five minutes."

She continued in the same tone.

"Even my cells could have killed you if I had been serious while you were in the tunnels. It was because of me that you even entered my stomach. I deliberately held back from biting your entire body apart when you jumped into my mouth."

"So tell me, why is such a weak and pathetic individual like you trying this hard?"

She tilted her head slightly.

"Not to mention, you met my contractor barely a few weeks ago. If you give up now... I promise I will let you keep your life and give you the reward I promised before."

Her eyes narrowed.

"All you need to do is sign that Spirit Contract."

I raised my bloodied fists and pressed them against the ground weakly as I slowly forced my body back up.

My limbs were beyond repair now, glowing with a pure blue light, the colour of my Vectors, as tendrils of electricity crackled around them.

"Nwoh!"

I couldn’t even speak properly.

"I whont gibh uppp!"
