Yandere Instruction Manual: My Wife is World Ending Calamity!

Chapter 86: Why Does Everyone Keep Trying to Recruit Me?!

I walked out of Alya’s office as a smile naturally found its way onto my face. Honestly, it felt nice when things actually went according to plan for once.

Alya already hated the Ruinbringers, all I did was amplify that hatred and redirect it and in return, I gained myself a powerful ally.

Up until now, I already made more than my fair share of enemies.

Silas, Ruvian and even Maximus.

I wasn’t afraid of facing any of them head-on but what concerned me were the dirty tricks they might resort to.

Especially Silas.

False accusations, political schemes and pointless attempts to tie me down and waste my time was something a sly bastard like Silas would definitely try.

So, having Alya on my side would make dealing with such threats far easier.

Though, I was sure that Alya probably hated my father even more now but that, however, was none of my concern. For all I cared, she could kill that emotionless bastard as long as I wasn’t set to inherit him.

As I walked through the academy’s streets, quite a few senior students shot me hostile glares. Fortunately, most of them had enough sense not to stir up any useless trouble... at least for now.

Silas wasn’t the type to make a move so soon. Nor was he the type to act so openly.

That cautious bastard was the kind who preferred to strike from the shadows.

As for the Traditionalists...

That bunch was definitely the one most likely to do something reckless.

Lost in my thoughts, I eventually found myself in one of the quieter parts of the academy. It was the backside of the classroom complex, where a small garden had been built as a place for students to rest.

There were many such gardens scattered throughout the academy.

This one, however, was almost always empty because of the strange and eerie atmosphere that lingered around it.

There was still some time before evening and I planned to visit the last few electives on my list before making my final decision.

Still, I stopped in this secluded garden for one reason.

For the past fifteen minutes, ever since I had left Alya’s office, I have been sensing some annoying pests following me relentlessly.

At first, I planned to ignore them because I was sure they wouldn’t dare attack me out in the open but after sensing their presence and their strength, I changed my mind.

After all, this seemed like a pretty good way to blow off some steam.

"You can come out now." I turned toward the tall trees standing beside the path, my eyes narrowing. "Stop hiding like a bunch of rats."

Almost immediately, a group of five students stepped out from behind the trees, their expression anything but pleasant.

Two of them were giants, one was human, one was a Fae while the last of them was one of the only seven Dragonian in the entire academy.

The other four naturally fell in behind the draconian with curved horns and blonde hair, making it obvious he was their leader.

I recognized him almost immediately. He was actually a first-year student and from the World Class, no less.

He was actually one of the few people on my list from the Banquet to copy Talents because he had one of a kind physical type Talent.

"Why were you sneaking around?" I asked politely. "Do you need something from me?"

"Yes." The Dragonian, Ivan, answered without hesitation, arrogance evident in his voice. "I do need something from you."

"I need your obedience."

"Huh?!"

I genuinely froze.

The way these guys had walked out so dramatically, I thought they were definitely here to beat me up to curry favor with some senior or earn a place in one of the academy’s factions.

But this was definitely not what I expected.

"The academy is currently ruled by that incompetent Giant Prince, Silas." Ivan spoke with undisguised contempt. "While the other factions are filled with nothing but spineless cowards who bark behind closed doors but never dare challenge him openly."

He stepped forward, a confident grin spreading across his face.

"That’s why I, Ivan of Red Mountain, have decided to create a new faction. We Draconians have always been among the strongest races but because of our small numbers and because my predecessors never cared for your petty politics, those arrogant fools have been allowed to do as they please."

"But I am different."

"I have no intention of watching those incompetent bastards monopolize power while tormenting first-year students."

"As the heir of the Red Dragon, I will establish a new faction, one built and managed entirely by freshers." His golden eyes locked onto mine. "And you seem to share the same ideals as I do."

"So follow me."

He wasn’t even asking.

The bastard was outright ordering me.

But I was thinking something entirely else at this moment.

What the actual hell was this?

I had never heard about anything like this in my previous life. Nor did I hear about any emerging new faction of freshers.

But then again, I had spent most of my first year as a depressed wreck back then and barely paid attention to anything outside my own misery and once the classroom reshuffling happened, I was dumped straight into Crow Class.

So, there was a chance this faction had existed in my previous life as well.

Or...

They had been crushed before they ever got the chance to become anything.

"So?" Ivan’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "What is your answer?"

I looked at him once again.

"What if I reject your offer?"

A faint smile tugged at my lips as a frown immediately appeared on his face. Without another word, he pulled a white parchment from his storage ring.

It glowed with a crimson light as I recognized it instantly.

A Soul Contract.

"If you refuse... I simply have to force you to accept it."

My eyes narrowed.

"Something tells me you are not exactly popular among your peers." I glanced at the contract before looking back at him. "But sure, if you really think you can make me sign it—"

A grin spread across my face.

"Be my guest."

Since it had already come to this, I could definitely use some free slaves.
