Chapter 264-Just Like In The Past
Verity:
"That is not true. I guess it just made me angry at Roman," Jaguar commented, and I could tell that he had really thought about our conversation that night.
And this was the perfect excuse he could come up with. It seemed to work because he smiled.
But I was not gonna let it work.
"What do you mean?" I asked him, casually asking him to explain himself.
"What I mean is that—" He cleared his throat again. "Roman was abusing you, and you slapped him. You got to punish him, but I– I keep thinking about it, and I wanted to punish him too."
He paused.
"I want to beat the fuck out of him. He did not deserve the luxury of touching you."
He paused for a moment.
"But enough of this—," he hesitated. "The end of the story is that I fucked up. I should not have reacted this way."
He looked genuinely distraught but then forced a smile onto his lips, as if to tell me that everything was fine.
"I need a moment because I’m not gonna jump into another relationship knowing this time the punishment is coming from—"
As I was about to repeat something I’d told him before, he shook his head.
I watched his mouth open as if he was gonna say something, but Theodore approached us.
"It’s a wonderful event. Just wonderfully planned," Theodore commented, snapping both Jaguar and me back to reality and making us look around at the people surrounding us.
"Thank you so much," I said, accepting Theodore’s compliment with a smile.
"So, what are we talking about here?" Theodore asked with a bright smile, acting as if he was only joining the conversation for the sake of gossip and not because he was interested in me or wanted to know what we had been talking about.
"Nothing, really," Jaguar replied, clearly pissed off as he started to walk away.
Now it was just Theodore and me.
"You look amazing," Theodore said, slowly slipping his hands into his pants pockets.
The way his eyes lingered on me, it was pretty obvious he liked what he was seeing.
"Thank you," I replied shyly.
Sometimes it got a little annoying because I didn’t know what my connection was with any of them, how I was supposed to act around each one, or where I’d left things with them.
"So basically, the food service has done a great job, but it would be really good if you went over to the kitchen and checked a few things beforehand," Theodore requested, pointing toward the kitchen.
He had done this before too. I didn’t know what his obsession with the kitchen was.
It kind of reminded me of old times, especially our first meeting.
We had been in the kitchen that time as well.
I looked at him and slowly swallowed, giving it a quick thought.
Well, I ended up deciding that I would go to the kitchen with him this time.
I couldn’t live in the past and let it cloud my mind.
I had to move forward with him and make him believe that I was the one he wanted.
For that, I had to let go of my past trauma.
"Sure."
The minute I said it, I watched his eyes widen as if he’d just been given back a dream he thought had been shattered.
I picked up my gown and started toward the kitchen. I stopped midway to see if he was coming or not.
It seemed like he had decided to stay behind.
But his eyes were on Ragnar and Jaguar, who were now busy talking with Gigi in the corner, so they weren’t watching us.
I continued walking and stopped at the doorway.
I turned around, and just as expected, Theodore was hurrying after me, quickly and sneakily.
I entered the kitchen and looked around for a while.
It was huge, and this was where they were preparing the snacks.
The rest of the food was being prepared in the back kitchen, which was even bigger.
"I think this looks good for starters, I guess."
I had only started speaking when I felt Theodore come up behind me and place his hands on either side of the kitchen counter, making my heart skip a beat.
My body heated immediately when I felt him press against my back.
His bulge was so prominent, as if he was already hard enough.
"Your scent is so mesmerizing," he whispered into my ear from behind.
My hand clasped the edge of the counter, my eyes shooting up to cautiously settle on the door.
"Theodore, someone will see us here," I uttered, hearing my own heavy breaths as he placed his hand on my waist, massaging my sides before sliding his hands across my stomach and around to my back.
"They are all too busy with the wishes," he whispered, referring to the part of the event where everyone’s recorded messages were now being played on the big screen.
"And then they will be busy with the pictures," he added, causing my heart to skip a beat as his hand began moving upward, reaching for my breasts.
The heavy embroidery covering my breasts prevented him from fully cupping them and feeling their softness.
"Ah, Theodore, what are you doing?" My voice came out shaky when he suddenly dropped to his knees and slipped beneath my gown.
And he did it so nonchalantly, as if he had mastered the art.
It took me back in time.
My fingers curled around the edges of the counter, and I braced myself.
Once he was underneath, he grabbed my panties and, with one merciless pull, dragged them down and off my feet.
He spread my legs, lifting one of them over his shoulder for support, and began breathing against my vagina.
A strange sensation stirred in my lower abdomen, sending butterflies fluttering through my stomach before a knot formed deep inside.
His lips pressed against my pussy a little too firmly, lingering there as my breath hitched in my throat.
