Chapter 86: Introducing sci-fi girls to medieval fantasy.
You turn your attention to Shirley's observation about the pink-haired princesses. "It's a standard trope that princesses and queens have blonde hair, either gold, platinum or pink. Finding princesses without those three hair colors is actually harder than not. There's actually a fourth who doesn't live here. Lucy is able to visit here but isn't ready to be living with humans."
Shirley uncurls slightly from her sofa, processing this information with visible confusion. "Wait, how many people are actually living here?"
"Thirty-one now including Lacus," Milly answers before you can respond, her analytical mind cataloging information. "He mentioned that earlier."
"Close Milly, There are thirty-one members of the harem now, there are only fifteen, now sixteen members living at the Carne Manor. Most of the others are living in the Nazarick." You correct lightly.
You return focus to Euphemia, slowly kneading her breast through the revealing maid outfit. She stiffens but maintains her manufactured compliance, keeping her arms around your shoulders.
"You can keep your privacy for now," you state quietly enough that only she can hear clearly. "You will however be assigned a therapist named Victim. At least while I'm present, you will continue your affectionate act, being a naughty girlfriend. Do you accept?"
Euphemia's lavender eyes meet yours with calculation beneath the desperation. After three seconds, she nods fractionally.
"Say it," you instruct.
"I accept," she whispers, the words mechanical.
You pull her into another kiss, squeezing her half-visible rear through the short maid skirt. Her response remains performative but adequate for the watching audience. When you release her, she keeps her arms locked around your neck with trembling determination.
"Villetta, Euphemia," you announce louder, addressing the room. "The school day will be ending soon, which means your roommates will be returning with the little sisters. Go put on some undershorts and cups, then come back down so you can join the introductions properly."
Villetta nods once from her position near the fireplace. "Acknowledged." She moves toward the stairs without hesitation, her pragmatic acceptance of instructions evident.
Euphemia remains frozen against you for several seconds before slowly releasing her grip. She steps back carefully, maintaining eye contact as she retreats toward the stairs. Her movements are mechanical, controlled, the performance continuing even as she moves away.
Kallen watches the exchange with undisguised disgust. "This is sick. You're manipulating her."
"Correct, if barely, the manipulation is obvious enough that she's ignoring that it's a blatant lie, which means she's manipulating herself with my offered lie. It is however, providing her emotional structure." you correct calmly. "Sometimes that's what people need when their own mind collapses. Her therapist understands that personally, and will either work her through or around it. We, ideally won't even realize when she overcomes the lie she's standing on."
Lacus steps forward carefully, her diplomatic instincts engaging. "Perhaps we should allow them privacy to change. In the meantime, I would appreciate learning more about this manor and the household structure."
Yuri Alpha nods in agreement. "That would be appropriate. CZ, Narberal, perhaps we should begin establishing the therapeutic pairings while Master Blank provides Lacus with orientation."
Milly stands from her chair. "I'm curious about the structure as well. You mentioned sixteen women total. How is the household organized?"
Shirley remains curled on the sofa, though her crying has subsided to occasional sniffles. Kallen continues pacing near the window, her restless energy undiminished.
You gesture toward Narberal, who approaches with measured steps. "Narberal, sit on my lap please. I'll be introducing the manor residents as they arrive home."
Narberal settles onto your lap with perfect posture, her form maintaining professional bearing despite the intimate positioning. You slide your hands forward to cup her breasts through her battle maid uniform, the gesture casual and public. Her expression remains neutral, though her breathing deepens slightly.
Villetta and Euphemia return down the stairs wearing modified versions of their revealing maid outfits. Both have added simple black undershorts beneath their short skirts and modest cloth breast cups to cover their exposed nipples while leaving cleavage visible. Euphemia maintains her mechanical performance of willing compliance, though her trembling continues.
"Good, that's more appropriate for when the younger residents return," you state, continuing to fondle Narberal's chest. "Now, let me give you all a proper tour."
You gesture with one hand while keeping the other on Narberal's breast, casting Illusory Wall. The common room's far wall shimmers and becomes transparent, revealing the manor's interior layout in perfect detail.
"We're currently in the main common room. The manor combines permanent magical fortifications with residential comfort. Unseen servants maintain everything, and Heroes' Feast provides meals daily. Each resident has a personalized room that adapts to their needs."
The illusion shifts to show the magical school building visible through windows. "That's the school where several residents are currently finishing classes. Basic education, adventuring fundamentals, literacy instruction. The day should be ending soon."
Another gesture expands the view to encompass Carne Village itself. "Carne Village is a simple frontier village, though you'll notice the unusual number of visitors. Those are spies from neighboring countries trying to secretly observe the mysterious mansion and magical school. No one's stupid enough to attack after the recent incident where an elite Theocracy strike force was captured and mass-cursed with truth compulsion before being handed to the local kingdom."
Kallen stops pacing to study the illusion with tactical interest. Milly leans forward from her chair, analytical mind cataloging information.
The view expands further to show surrounding geography. "To the west is the Forest of Tob, inhabited by various low-fantasy monster species and a few mid-tier threats. North are mountains with aggressive demi-human mole tribes. East is the Baharuth Empire. South toward the nearest human city, and beyond that west to the Re-Estize Kingdom, which technically holds authority over this village."
You release Narberal's breast long enough to summon a complete set of light novels from your inventory, placing them on the nearby table. "This is The Overlord series, describing the original world we're currently in. Decent world-building, though the main character makes foolish decisions. My existance replaces him and changed several side characters. Anyone interested in understanding local context should read it."
Lacus approaches the books with scholarly interest. "You're offering us reference material about this world's political and magical systems?"
"The story is entertaining and knowledge might be useful." You return your hand to Narberal's chest, resuming casual fondling. "When you begin adventuring, I'll also provide information of the world, if not just hand out the original story."
The side door opens first, admitting Yor, Fiona, and Lisara. All three show signs of recent physical exertion, their training clothes dusted and hair slightly disheveled. Yor's dark hair clings to her forehead with sweat, while Fiona maintains her composed expression despite similar exertion.
"Ah, good timing! Yor is an assassin from another multiverse," you announce as the three women pause at the gathering in the common room. "Fiona is a professional spy from the same world. Lisara is a local village girl who chose the demon's deal, trading her life as my slave for revenge against those who killed her father."
Lacus studies the three with scholarly interest. Kallen's pacing slows as she assesses Yor's athletic build. Milly's analytical gaze sharpens at the spy designation.
"We should clean up before the younger residents arrive," Fiona states pragmatically, already moving toward the stairs.
The three disappear into their rooms, barely a moment later the front door swings open, admitting Enri with four younger girls clustered around her. Nemu bounces ahead excitedly while Arche maintains watchful posture over Kuuderika and Ureirika.
You lower your hands from Narberal's chest to rest at her waist, the gesture automatic as children enter the room.
"Wow!" Nemu exclaims, eyes widening at the gathered women. "There's so many pretty ladies! And their dresses are so fancy!"
Kuuderika and Ureirika stare with similar wonder at Lacus's flowing white gown and the revealing outfits worn by the Code Geass women, their eleven-year-old minds clearly processing the adult fashion with fascination.
"Enri leads the goblin troop you may have noticed outside," you explain, gesturing toward the blond-haired village girl. "Nemu is her doted-on little sister. Arche is a former noble, spellcaster, adventurer, and caretaker of Kuuderika and Ureirika."
Enri inclines her head politely toward the newcomers. "Welcome to Carne Manor. I hope you'll find it comfortable here."
Arche's gaze lingers on Euphemia's mechanical posture and Shirley's tear-stained face with visible concern, but she says nothing in front of the children.
The door opens again, admitting Alicia and Prim still in their riding clothes from mounted combat practice. Both pause at the crowded common room before Alicia steps forward with military bearing.
"Apologies for our delay," Alicia states formally. "We were discussing advanced techniques with the combat instructor."
"Alicia Arcturus and Prim Fiorire," you announce. "Both are from the same homeland which was lost to ero-goblins and orcs." You catch yourself deliberately, glancing toward the three young girls. "Alicia was the royal knight of Princess, now former, Prim Fiorire, who as you should notice is yet another of the pink-haired princesses I mentioned earlier."
Prim's pink hair catches afternoon light streaming through windows as she surveys the gathered women. Her gaze settles on Lacus and Euphemia with recognition of shared royal bearing.
"Three pink-haired princesses," Milly observes quietly.
Nemu tugs on Lacus's white gown. "Are you really a princess? Do you have a castle? Can I see your crown?"
Lacus smiles gently despite obvious discomfort. "I was a political figure rather than traditional royalty. No crown, I'm afraid."
You tap Narberal's shoulder twice, and she rises smoothly from your lap with perfect posture. Yor, Fiona, and Lisara return from upstairs, their training clothes replaced with clean casual garments. All three pause at the crowded common room before finding seats.
You gesture toward the still-active Illusionary Wall, which shimmers and displays images matching your words. The visual shows a concert hall filled with thousands, then shifts to orbital colonies hanging in space.
"Lacus was a famous songstress, so famous that with her politician-father she was openly called a princess. Her universe advanced in technology so far that they created cities between the stars. I bet if you ask nicely she might sing a song after dinner."
Nemu's eyes widen with excitement. "Cities in the stars? Really? Can we visit them?"
"Perhaps someday," Lacus replies gently, though her expression shows uncertainty about that possibility.
The illusion shifts to show Villetta's chocolate skin and steel-blue hair. "From a different world, Villetta, this pretty maid with chocolate skin, was a bad girl that lost her memories and is much kinder because of it. I'm sure she'll get along with you all well once everyone settles in."
Villetta's expression remains neutral, though her eyes narrow slightly at the simplified explanation.
The display changes again, showing three different young women. "Milly, this blonde maid, Shirley, the orange cat-girl, and Kallen, the red-haired bunny-girl, went to a huge school, even bigger than the one you three were just at. Kallen had a secret though. She was trying to fight against an entire kingdom. They were losing really badly though and didn't want to admit they lost."
Kallen's face flushes with fury. "We weren't losing, we were fighting for justice against colonial oppression and..."
"Kallen," you interrupt calmly. "They definitely won't be able to follow what you're talking about."
The illusion shifts to Euphemia. "Euphemia, this pink-haired maid just like Prim, was a princess of the kingdom Kallen was fighting, but left to prevent a big problem. She's having trouble accepting that she has a new home, so be gentle with her please."
Kuuderika approaches Euphemia cautiously. "You're really a princess? Like Prim?"
Euphemia's mechanical smile barely moves. "Yes. Like Prim."
You gesture toward the three Pleiades. "And I don't believe I've yet to introduce you all to Yuri Alpha, the head maid of Nazarick, CZ Delta, the automaton sniper, and Narberal Gamma, the doppelganger sorceress. They'll be around to make friends when they're not working."
Arche steps forward, her caretaker instincts engaging. "Master Blank, perhaps the younger girls should help prepare the dining area for lunch? It would give the new residents time to settle in without quite so many eyes watching."
Enri nods in agreement. "Good idea. Nemu, Kuuderika, Ureirika, come help me in the kitchen."
The three young girls protest briefly but follow Enri and Arche toward the kitchen area. The common room becomes noticeably quieter with their departure.
Milly speaks first, her analytical voice cutting through the silence. "You simplified those explanations significantly for children's comprehension. What's the actual situation we're in?"
You gesture toward the departing children, then turn your attention to the remaining adults. "Censored and simplified for the children yes, but rather accurate for your introductions. The six of you are from worlds that have super-technology, while here, the most scientific thing you'll find is either basic chemistry or a wagon. The majority of fantasy worlds rarely get beyond the iron and bronze ages of technology with various magic mixed in."
Kallen crosses her arms. "So we're stuck in a medieval backwater."
"Your first step is realizing that there are no vehicles to drive you. Shelter and food, while provided in this manor infinitely, is not so easily acquired for the rest of the world. There are other sentient species than human. There are cat-kin," you gesture toward Shirley's tail, "rabbit-kin," you indicate Kallen's outfit, "elves, demons, lizard-kin and dwarves."
Villetta's pragmatic voice cuts through. "What about political structures? You mentioned nobility."
"Royalty and nobility would be bluntly stupid to attempt anything with my beautiful girls, but stupidity exists to astound. There will be those who throw caution to the wind, and I'll likely punish their entire family or kingdom when that happens."
Alicia straightens at this, her military bearing evident. "You've already established deterrence through demonstrated power?"
"That happened a week ago, almost two now, this village was set to be exterminated as a political trap for a nearby famous warrior. Enri and Lisara were here, ask them about it." You answer before continuing, "Firearms, hot weapons, being guns and cannons are effective. The catch being there are creatures that are borderline bulletproof even in normal worlds. Add magic to it and almost half the magical creatures can either catch cannonballs or dodge bullets. You can improvise magical ammunition and magic guns, to limited effect."
Milly's analytical voice enters the conversation. "So our technological advantage is largely negated by magical capabilities native to this world."
"Technology that you don't have? Your biggest challenges will be to adjust from future technology to the current iron-bronze age fantasy world and accepting being in my harem. There are two or three future technology based girls left which I want to recruit with slightly different methods."
Lacus speaks carefully. "You're planning additional recruitment?"
"Several. Different circumstances require different approaches."
Prim steps forward, her pink hair catching light. "Master Blank, should I show them the livestock areas? They should understand where meat comes from if they're from technology worlds."
Arche returns from the kitchen. "The table is set."
Yuri Alpha maintains her composed posture near the doorway. "If I may suggest, Master Blank, the newcomers might benefit from understanding Nazarick's structure beyond this manor. The scope of resources available to them."
CZ Delta adds clinically, "Observation indicates psychological adjustment requires accurate environmental context. Limited information creates unnecessary stress variables."
Shirley uncurls slightly from the sofa, her orange tail still twitching. "Are there really demons? Like, actual demons?"
Narberal answers before you can. "Yes. Lord Blank commands beings far beyond mortal comprehension."
