Chapter 64: The price is clear. Very well.
"Dismiss the barrier," you tell Oriax. "There's no reason to keep it up. The city is worthless."
Oriax inclines her head once, crimson eyes calm. The translucent crimson dome surrounding the city shimmers and collapses inward, dissipating into nothing. The sealed city opens to the outside world again, though only corpses and empty buildings remain within.
You lean back against the throne, fingers still threading through Ikaros's pink hair as you ponder aloud. "Among the eight I remember from this world, only the princess and her knight have been evacuated. The married knight, bandit and loli weren't of interest to me."
Gabriel's twelve wings shift slightly, violet eyes watching you with careful attention.
You turn to face her directly. "This next part might be a bit distasteful. If you do not wish to see it, please take Ikaros with you back through the portal to Nazarick."
Gabriel considers for three heartbeats, her expression remaining calm and analytical. "I will observe. The judgment remains legitimate under Codex authority, regardless of method."
You nod once. "I'm going to open portals to four individuals. They should be captured and indoctrinated already. If they're being actively used, we will allow their users to continue if they let the women interact. If they refuse, then kill them."
You raise both hands, silver light around your fingertips as you trace four separate patterns in the air. "[Gate]. [Gate]. [Gate]. [Gate]."
Four portals snap open simultaneously in the empty throne room, each seven feet tall and four feet wide, defined by silver light edges. Through them, you see four separate cells or chambers.
The first portal shows a stone cell where a woman with long platinum blonde hair sits on a bed, wearing a torn white dress. Her violet eyes are red from crying, arms wrapped around herself. A second woman with long pink hair sits beside her, wearing similar torn clothing, both clearly heartbroken.
The second portal reveals another cell where a dark haired woman is restrained against a wall, a loose ballgag in her mouth. Her expression carries fury and helplessness in equal measure.
The third portal shows that same dark haired woman from a different angle, this time with a blonde woman behind her wearing a strap-on, tears streaming down the blonde's face as she mechanically continues despite visible distress.
All four women freeze as the portals open, their eyes going wide with shock as they see the empty throne room, the massive window showing the corpse-littered city, and the assembled group of obviously powerful beings.
You raise your hands again, more complex patterns forming. "[Temporal Manifestation]. [Temporal Manifestation]. [Temporal Manifestation]. [Temporal Manifestation]."
Four translucent phantom forms materialize beside you in the throne room. They solidify gradually into physical presence. The first is the platinum blonde woman, but her white dress is intact and her expression carries determination rather than despair. The second is the pink haired woman, similarly intact and resolved. The third is the dark haired woman before her capture, wearing dark armor marked with demonic insignia. The fourth is the blonde woman before whatever broke her will, wearing knight's armor with proud bearing.
The four manifestations and their four current counterparts visible through the portals lock eyes with each other. The platinum blonde manifestation gasps, hand flying to her mouth. Through the first portal, the current version recoils backward on the bed.
"I present four instances of the past to the current, what you would call the future," you say calmly. "To the current, I introduce four potential timelines of yourselves."
The manifestation of the dark haired woman in demonic armor steps forward, violet eyes blazing. "What is this? What magic allows you to show me that?" She points at the portal showing her restrained self.
The blonde knight manifestation stares at the portal showing herself crying while mechanically assaulting the dark haired woman. "That cannot be real. I would never do such a thing."
Through the first portal, the platinum blonde woman finds her voice, hoarse and broken. "Is that really me? Before they took us?"
The manifestation named Alicia turns to face the portal, her violet eyes filling with tears as she sees her future self. "What did they do to us?"
"This spell permits the choice of a different present or future." you explain, "I require consent, either of the past to not become this future, or of the current to choose a different past."
The dark haired manifestation in demonic armor narrows her eyes. "You're saying I can choose to never experience what that shows? What is the price?"
"Answer our questions first," the blonde knight manifestation demands. "Who are you? What authority lets you manipulate time itself?"
I let the silver light fade from my fingertips as I regard the four manifestations and the four broken women watching through the portals.
I speak directly to the blonde knight first, the one whose manifestation stands in gleaming armor with unbroken pride. "I am Blank. A traveler of the multiverse. I am the one who currently decides whether the four of you continue to exist a new future... or whether you are allowed to become the present whom you see in front of you."
My gaze shifts across all eight versions of them. "The price is simple. Consent from one, past or present, will anchor the past as reality. The suffering ends. The broken become echoes, fading harmlessly. The determined take their place, whole and unscarred. Refuse both, and it all dissolves, your pains remain, your potentials lost. If you consent, the 'future' you will vanish. The 'past', the one standing here now, will become real. Your body. Your memories. Unbroken. Everything that has happened to you since your capture will be undone. You will be here, now. But this time... you will not be alone."
I lean forward slightly on the throne, still gently stroking Ikaros's hair. "Safe. Untouched. Virgin. And under my protection. In exchange, you will owe me fealty. Not as slaves in the way Vult understood the word. You will not be passed around. You will not be broken for sport. But you will belong to me."
My eyes settle on the demonic-armored Olga manifestation. "You asked for the price, Queen. That is it. Your pride. Your freedom. Your future. In return, you keep your dignity, your body, and your mind. You will live in the Dark Elven Demiplane I created. But you will kneel to me."
I turn to Alicia and Prim's manifestations. "Your mutual betrayal never happens. The lie they told you, that sacrificing yourself would save the other, never gets spoken. You keep your bond clean."
Finally, I look at Chloe's manifestation. "You never raise your hand against your Queen under compulsion. You never watch your body move while your soul screams."
I let the silence stretch for a few seconds.
"Three conditions. Speak clearly so both versions of you can hear. One: Do you accept this new timeline? Two: Do you accept me as your lord? Three: Will you submit your body to me willingly, in your own time, without coercion?"
I raise a single finger. "Both versions of each woman must agree. Or both will fade, and the broken one will continue to exist alone."
I lean back. "Take your time. You have until I grow bored."
Alicia’s manifestation speaks first, voice firm. "I consent. Let the princess who fought on be the one who endures. Spare her the guilt, the touch of those monsters."
Her current self echoes through the portal, hoarse but fervent: "Yes. Gods, yes. Make it real."
Prim’s manifestation nods, green eyes resolute. "For her sake, and mine. I consent. Let us stand unbroken."
Her counterpart: "Please... bring me back."
Olga’s manifestation laughs, low and bitter, but her eyes gleam with dark fire. "The Queen does not fade into chains. I consent. Restore me to my throne, or whatever shadow-realm you offer."
Her restrained self thrashes once in affirmation, the gag muffling a growl that sounds almost like triumph.
Chloe’s manifestation steps forward, armor gleaming as if freshly polished. "By the Goddess's light, I consent. End this nightmare. Let the knight who protected remain."
Her future self, still mid-horror, whispers a broken "Yes" that carries the weight of absolution.
The Temporal Manifestations shimmer, their forms solidifying further. The portals, begin to fade. The manifestations pulse once, twice, then step forward, as if pulled through time. The portals snap shut with soft pops of displaced air.
The four women materialize fully: Alicia in her pristine blue bikini type armor, white miniskirt and brown stockings, Prim in a frilled puffy white-pink gown with a slit above her navel, exposing her pink panties, Olga in her regal dark bikini-armor, Chloe in long gray strapper, blue long-socked tights. They stand as they were, the weight of atrocities reduced to a fragmented memory. Alicia sways slightly, hand to her temple, but rights herself with royal poise. Prim supports her instinctively. Olga surveys the room with a queen's appraisal, lingering on Oriax with a flicker of dark kinship. Chloe kneels briefly, as if in prayer, then rises with renewed fire.
They turn to you as one, the air thick with unspoken questions, and the first stirrings of debt, of possibility.
Alicia speaks for them all, violet eyes meeting yours without flinching. "You have given us back our lives. What now, Lord Blank? Command, and we will hear it."
"That was concluded impressively faster than I expected, which finishes my interest in this world. Come," you say.
Your assembled forces follow through the still open portal. Albedo moves first, golden eyes never leaving you. Jibril's kaleidoscopic wings fold as she passes through. Ikaros, emerald eyes tracking your movement with mechanical precision. Gabriel descends last, twelve white wings settling around her like a cloak. Aura bounds through with Mare trailing shyly behind. Oriax and Grayfia move together with practiced synchronization. The four rescued women follow hesitantly, Alicia's violet eyes widening as she crosses the threshold into Nazarick's throne room.
The portal closes behind them with a soft shimmer of displaced air. You settle onto Nazarick's obsidian throne, the familiar weight of absolute authority settling around your shoulders.
"Aura, Mare, your new citizens will need your guidance. I will start negotiations for where to send the humans tomorrow with my visits to the Overlord nobility. Gabriel, will you please check on Celestine and the new residents of the light haven? Jibril, our dimensional travels are likely complete for the day. Do as you will."
Aura grins wide, red eyes bright with excitement. "Come on, Mare! Let's go meet our new subjects!" She grabs her sister's hand, practically dragging the shy dark elf toward the portal stations.
Mare clutches her staff tighter but follows, violet eyes flickering with nervous anticipation. "I hope they'll like us."
Gabriel inclines her head once, twelve wings shifting. "As you command." Her voice carries perfect calm despite still processing. She vanishes in a shimmer of golden light.
Jibril tilts her head, kaleidoscopic eyes gleaming. "Then I shall return to my library. The combat data from today's extermination requires proper cataloging." She traces geometric patterns in the air and disappears.
You turn your attention to the four women standing uncertainly before the throne. Olga's violet eyes watch you with calculating wariness, arms crossed over her dark armor. Alicia stands straight, platinum blonde hair catching the throne room's magical light, hands trembling slightly at her sides. Prim positions herself half a step behind Alicia, protective instinct overriding confusion. Chloe maintains a prayer stance, blue eyes downcast but expression resolute.
"Your first order," you say calmly. "The four of you will take turns slowly kissing me while on my lap until you can do so comfortably. I am going to touch and feel each of your beautiful bodies until you back away. Then I will have Albedo, Ikaros and Grayfia show you to your new homes."
The words settle over them like physical weight. Alicia's breath catches. Prim's green eyes go wide. Olga's expression shifts from calculation to understanding, a slow predatory smile curving her lips. Chloe's prayer stance falters, hands clenching briefly before relaxing.
"As expected," Olga says, voice carrying dark amusement. "The price is clear. Very well." She steps forward first, violet eyes meeting yours directly. "Shall I begin, Lord Blank?"
You settle back against the obsidian throne. Your gaze shifts between the four women standing before you, reading their postures and expressions with practiced ease.
"I will not move first," you say calmly. "You will set the pace. Begin when you are ready."
The words hang in the air like a physical presence. Olga's calculating smile falters slightly, replaced by genuine surprise. Alicia's trembling hands still. Prim's protective stance shifts to confusion. Chloe's prayer position breaks entirely as her blue eyes snap up to meet yours.
"You want us to choose?" Olga asks slowly, violet eyes narrowing as she recalibrates her assessment. "To control the encounter?"
"I want you to learn that touching me is not something to fear," you reply. "That intimacy with me will not harm you the way your erased timelines experienced. You will kiss me when you wish to kiss me. You will feel my hands on your bodies when you are ready to feel them. And you will stop whenever you choose."
Alicia's breath catches audibly. "I don't understand. You hold absolute power over us. You could simply command."
"I could," you agree. "But I choose not to. Your consent was given when you accepted the temporal manifestation. What remains is for you to discover that serving me is not the horror you imagine."
Silence stretches for perhaps thirty seconds. Then Olga steps forward, her dark armor catching the throne room's magical light. She moves with predatory grace, violet eyes locked on yours as she approaches. "Then I shall test this claim, Lord Blank."
She climbs onto your lap with deliberate slowness, straddling your thighs with practiced confidence. Her hands rest on your shoulders, fingers curling slightly into the fabric of your robes. Up close, you can see the tension in her jaw, the way her pupils dilate despite her outward composure.
"You're trembling," you observe quietly.
Olga's smile returns, sharp and bitter. "Of course I am. I remember what my erased timeline experienced. But I am a queen. I do not submit to fear." She leans forward slowly, platinum hair falling around both your faces like a curtain. Her lips brush yours tentatively, testing. When you remain perfectly still, she presses firmer, her mouth opening slightly against yours.
You respond with equal gentleness, one hand rising to rest on her lower back. She stiffens at the contact, breath hitching. You hold the position without moving further, letting her process the sensation. Her kiss becomes more insistent as her body begins to relax incrementally.
Your hand slides up her spine slowly, feeling each vertebra through the thin material of her dark armor. Olga's breathing grows heavier, her hips shifting slightly against your lap. When your fingers reach the bare skin of her shoulders, she breaks the kiss with a soft gasp.
"You're not forcing," she whispers, violet eyes wide with realization. "You're actually waiting."
"Yes," you confirm simply. Your hand traces the curve of her shoulder blade, feeling the tension begin to melt from her muscles. "Take what you need, Olga. There is no rush."
She kisses you again, deeper this time, her body pressing closer as confidence builds. Your other hand joins the first, both palms mapping the contours of her back while she explores at her own pace. Minutes pass. Her armor grows warm under your touch. Her breathing becomes ragged. When she finally pulls back, her pale cheeks are flushed, her lips swollen.
"I believe I understand now," Olga says quietly, sliding from your lap with visible effort. She turns to face the others, violet eyes bright. "He means what he says. It is safe to approach him."
Alicia steps forward next, platinum blonde hair catching light as she moves. Her violet eyes meet yours with determination masking terror. "Then I shall try as well, Lord Blank."
