Arrival in an isekai

Chapter 33: what did that reality teach you?

You reach out to Nazarick's consciousness with practiced ease, feeling the dungeon's awareness pulse in acknowledgment. Alter the temporal flow between this dimension and the Rosario + Vampire universe, you command. Two years there for every day here. Five centuries for Akasha, eight months for us.

The dungeon's response carries mathematical precision as it recalculates dimensional anchoring. Temporal Ratio Adjusted. ROSARIO + VAMPIRE WORLD: 730:1 relative to current timeline. Akasha Bloodriverretrievalsynchronizedto 1543 SEPTEMBER 16TH, 11:06AM.

"Shalltear, our next visit will be a Princess Mina Tepes." You announce simply.

"Understood, Master." Shalltear curtsies gracefully, her burgundy gown flowing with the motion. "Shall I prepare intelligence on Princess Mina Tepes for our next recruitment mission?"

"Do so. You're dismissed."

Shalltear departs with fluid grace, leaving you alone in the throne room's oppressive grandeur. You shift your attention to recent events, querying the dungeon about the Lucifuge tour that occurred while you were recruiting Akasha.

Lucifuge estate personnel tour completed at 1:28PM, the dungeon reports. Lady Oriax Lucifuge ragained conciousness at 12:45PM. Grayfia Lucifuge provided physical support during recovery period. Tour commenced at 1:00PM with Albedo as primary guide.

Floor Guardians introduced in sequence: Shalltear Bloodfallen (1st FLOOR), Cocytus (5th FLOOR), Demiurge (7th FLOOR), Aura and Mare Bella Fiore (6th FLOOR). Victim observed from from throne room distance. Sebas Tain encountered briefly in transit.

Albedo's assessment: Oriax Lucifuge displays profound psychological restructuring. centuries of suppressed emotion now surface intermittently. requires ongoing observation. Grayfia Lucifuge demonstrates exceptional adaptability. Processes dimensional scale with intellectual curiosity rather than fear. Both express genuine loyalty, though Oriax experiences residual shame regarding her earlier breakdown.

Current Status: both returned to Lucifuge estate at 3:15PM to process experience privately. Permanent portal remains active for future transit.

You nod, satisfied with the report. The Lucifuge integration proceeds smoothly. You rise from your throne and step through the portal leading to Carne Village, reality folding around you as dimensions compress.

The transition deposits you directly into the mansion's dining room at 5:42pm. The table has been set for dinner--simple but elegant porcelain dishes arranged with care. You're surprised to see that Lucy sits at one end, absently petting her golden retriever puppy which has curled up beside her chair. Enri and Nemu occupy the middle seats, while Lisara stands near the kitchen doorway coordinating with the mansion's unseen servants. Arche sits alone at the far end, her honey-blonde hair freshly washed, wearing a simple blue dress that emphasizes her slender frame.

"Master!" Enri jumps to her feet, nearly knocking over her water glass. "We weren't expecting--I mean, dinner isn't quite ready yet, but--"

"I'm not here for dinner specifically," you interrupt calmly. "Though I'll join you regardless. I came to deliver information. Enri, Lisara, Arche--tomorrow you're invited to a special diplomatic meeting. Two o'clock at Amagi Brilliant Park's theater. Dress appropriately."

Lisara's eyes narrow with interest. "Diplomatic? With whom?"

"The Holy Queen of the Sacred Kingdom and her High Priestess," you reply. "They'll be watching a temporal projection of their world's future collapse. I want you three present as examples of my... investments in this world."

Arche's hazel eyes widen. "The Sacred Kingdom? That's halfway across the continent. How would we even--"

"Portal travel," you say simply. "The logistics are handled. Your only concern is appearance and behavior. Enri, you represent my interests are not political. Lisara, you demonstrate the changes of a timeline. Arche, you exemplify my intentions without being overt."

Enri swallows hard, her red hair catching the candlelight. "I don't... I'm not good with important people. What if I say something wrong?"

"The mistake would mean nothing and you'll learn from the mistake," with a shrug, you tell her flatly. "This is part of your education."

You settle into your chair at the head of the table, gesturing for the conversation to continue naturally while the servants eat. The mansion's enchantments keep the food perfectly warm, steam rising from roasted vegetables and seasoned chicken.

"While you eat, let me explain something," you begin, your voice carrying casual authority. "Officially, tomorrow's meeting is diplomatic. Unofficially?" You pause, letting your gaze sweep across Enri's anxious face, Lisara's calculating expression, Arche's thoughtful attention. "Imagine for a moment what your lives and this village would look like if I hadn't intervened. That's the image I'm throwing in front of Queen Calca and High Priestess Kelart. They can choose if they want a place in my world or not."

Enri's fork freezes halfway to her mouth. "You're going to... show them what almost happened to us?"

"Not what would have happened to you, what would have happened to them. A temporal projection of their alternate timeline." You lean back slightly. "Tomorrow at noon, I'll bring Neia Baraja here first while we arrange your dresses. Enri, I'm thinking a simple white sundress. Nothing elaborate, just clean and innocent."

Enri nods quickly, relief crossing her features. "That sounds... manageable. I can do simple."

You turn to Arche, whose honey-blonde hair catches the candlelight. "The white dress you have will suit perfectly, but do you want to wear it again so soon? Or shall I create something tighter?"

Arche considers, her hazel eyes thoughtful. "The white dress is fine. It's beautiful, and..." She hesitates. "I don't mind being seen in it twice. It makes me feel less... displayed."

"Understood." You shift attention to Lisara. "I want a splash of color other than white for you. What color and style would you prefer?"

Lisara sets down her wine glass with deliberate care. "Deep crimson. Something that shows I'm not afraid of being noticed. Form-fitting, maybe with gold accents if you're feeling generous."

"Hmm, Deep crimson, backless cocktail, with white-gold accents, I can't wait to see you in it. Once the four of you are ready, we'll portal to Amagi Brilliant Park. I'll show the Sacred Kingdom delegation the park from a distance while we enter the theater."

Your attention shifts to the younger girls at the far end of the table. Nemu's head droops slightly, her small frame fighting sleep despite the half-eaten chicken on her plate. Kuuderika maintains perfect posture but her eyes blink slowly, while Ureirika has given up entirely and rests her head on her sister's shoulder.

"Lucy," you say, catching the pink-haired girl's attention. Her crimson eyes meet yours warily, one hand absently stroking her golden retriever puppy beneath the table. "I'm surprised and happy to see you here. Have you all been getting along?"

Lucy's expression remains guarded. "They don't... hurt me. The food is good. The puppy is warm." She pauses, clearly uncomfortable with extended conversation. "Enri talks too much. The twins are loud. But it's... not bad."

"High praise," Lisara mutters under her breath, though without real malice.

You smile slightly. "Nemu, it's good to see you spending the night with Enri. Have your parents been caring for you well?"

Nemu jerks upright at being addressed directly, her red hair disheveled. "Yes, Master! Mama makes good breakfast, and Papa lets me help with the vegetables. But Enri said I could sleep here tonight because she gets lonely."

"Do I?" Enri protests weakly, though pink colors her cheeks.

After a light chuckle you answer "It's not an uncommon feeling when moving out of your childhood home, the constant presence of parents and siblings suddenly missing, especially the distance only being across such a small village, it's commonly called homesick. Be sure to visit your parents regularly and tell them how how annoying your new boyfriend is." You end with a tease and wink, before finally you address the drowsy twins. "Kuuderika, Ureirika how are the teachers' lessons going?"

Kuuderika straightens with visible effort, her noble training overriding fatigue. "The magical theory is fascinating. I've been reading about third-tier spell structures." Her intellectual curiosity wars with exhaustion. "Though I admit I'm struggling with the practical applications."

Ureirika doesn't lift her head from her sister's shoulder. "Math is boring," she mumbles. "But the history teacher tells good stories about old battles."

Arche watches her sisters with complicated emotions, gratitude for their safety mixed with grief for their lost childhoods.

You smile warmly at the drowsy twins. "I always found school boring too. Far too many lessons on topics I'll never be able to put to use." You gesture toward Enri and Arche. "Help your sisters to bed before they fall asleep in their seats. We'll continue when you're back."

Enri nods quickly, rising to guide Nemu toward the stairs. The younger girl protests weakly but follows, rubbing her eyes. Arche moves more slowly, gathering Kuuderika and Ureirika with gentle efficiency. The twins lean against their older sister as she leads them from the dining room, their footsteps fading up the staircase.

You turn to Lucy, who remains focused on her golden retriever puppy beneath the table. Moving closer, you lean down and press a soft kiss to her cheek. Her crimson eyes flick toward you briefly, wary but not hostile, before returning to the puppy's soft fur.

"I'm going to introduce the three of them to two maids, a mother and daughter," you tell her calmly. "You're welcome to come with."

Lucy's fingers pause in stroking the puppy. "More people?" Her voice carries exhaustion rather than fear. "I don't... I'm tired."

"That's fine. Rest if you prefer." You straighten, leaving the choice entirely to her.

She nods slightly, relieved at the lack of pressure. "I'll stay here. With him." She means the puppy, whose tail thumps against the floor.

You move to where Lisara stands near the kitchen doorway, still coordinating with the mansion's unseen servants. Her blue eyes track your approach with interest, a slight smile playing at her lips.

"Come here," you say simply.

Lisara sets down the serving platter she'd been examining and steps closer. You settle into one of the dining chairs and guide her gently but firmly onto your lap. She complies without hesitation, her weight settling against you as her breath catches slightly.

Your hands move to her waist, sliding upward along her sides with deliberate slowness. She shivers under the contact, her body responding immediately. You massage her through the fabric of her dress, fingers kneading the soft flesh beneath with increasing boldness.

"Master," she breathes, her voice pitched low. Her head tilts back slightly, exposing the long line of her throat.

You lean forward and kiss her, soft at first, then deeper as she parts her lips with eager surrender. Your hands continue their exploration, one cupping her breast while the other slides down her thigh. She gasps into your mouth, hips shifting involuntarily against you.

Across the room, Lucy watches with detached curiosity, her expression unreadable. She doesn't look away, but neither does she react beyond clinical observation. The puppy whines softly, seeking her attention again.

Your fingers find the hem of Lisara's dress and slip beneath, tracing patterns along bare skin that make her shudder. She presses closer, her breathing growing ragged.

"They're going to see," she murmurs against your lips, though her tone carries anticipation rather than protest.

"That's the idea," you reply.

Footsteps sound on the stairs, Enri and Arche returning from tucking in their younger sisters.

You deepen the kiss with Lisara, your tongue exploring her mouth as she gasps against you. Your hands continue their bold exploration, one cupping her breast through the fabric while the other slides higher along her inner thigh. She shudders in your lap, her breathing ragged and uneven.

After another long moment, you pull back slightly, letting her catch her breath. Her blue eyes are glazed, lips parted and kiss-swollen. A flush spreads across her cheeks and down her neck.

"Enri, Arche, Lisara," you say calmly, as though you hadn't just been thoroughly pleasuring one of them in front of the others. "We're going to introduce the three of you to a pair of maids who will be watching with you tomorrow."

Enri's face burns crimson. She'd frozen upon entering the dining room, witnessing Lisara writhing on your lap with obvious arousal. Arche's expression remains more controlled, though pink colors her cheeks as well.

You stand smoothly, guiding Lisara to her feet. She sways slightly, legs unsteady. "Enri, lead the way through the dungeon passage to the Lucifuge manor."

Enri blinks in confusion. "The... what?"

"The permanent portal in the main hall," you clarify. "I established it earlier today. Walk through it."

Enri moves hesitantly toward the main hall, the others following. The silver-edged portal shimmers in the archway, seven feet tall and four feet wide. She approaches cautiously, extending one hand. Her fingers pass through the threshold without resistance, disappearing into light.

"Just walk through," you encourage from behind.

She steps forward, vanishing entirely. Arche follows with more confidence, then Lisara, still flushed and slightly unsteady. You bring up the rear, emerging in the servants' alcove of the Lucifuge Estate.

The space is austere--stone walls, simple furniture, minimal decoration. Enri looks around nervously, clearly out of her depth in what she recognizes as genuine noble architecture despite its simplicity.

You sense Oriax and Grayfia in the nearby sitting room and guide your three servants in that direction. The two devil maids sit together on a modest sofa, both dressed in traditional black-and-white maid uniforms. Oriax appears composed but carries faint shadows under her crimson eyes. Grayfia sits with perfect posture, watching your approach with quiet attention.

"Oriax, Grayfia," you begin, gesturing to your three companions. "This is Enri Emmot, Arche Eeb Rile Furt, and Lisara Sturum. They serve me in various capacities and will be attending a diplomatic meeting tomorrow. Enri, Arche, Lisara--this is Lady Oriax Lucifuge, head maid of House Lucifuge, and her daughter Grayfia, who is currently training under her mother's guidance."

The three women offer varying degrees of greeting. Enri manages a nervous bow. Arche inclines her head with noble courtesy. Lisara simply nods, still catching her breath.

"You both had a tour of Nazarick today," you continue, turning your full attention to the devil maids. "I'd like your opinions."

Oriax rises smoothly, her centuries of training evident in the fluid motion. "It was... comprehensive, Master." Her voice carries careful neutrality. "The scale exceeds anything I had imagined. The architectural diversity across floors, the complexity of magical systems, the sheer number of guardians and servants..."

She pauses, choosing words with visible care. "I found myself questioning my previous understanding of what constitutes power. House Lucifuge's estate, which I had considered grand, now seems almost modest by comparison."

Grayfia speaks next, her tone more direct than her mother's diplomatic phrasing. "The dungeon itself appears sentient in ways I didn't know were possible. It responded to questions, offered explanations, demonstrated capabilities that shouldn't exist." She meets your gaze steadily. "I understood intellectually that you claimed ownership of a dimensional fortress. Seeing it transformed theory into reality."

"And what did that reality teach you?" you ask.
