Cassandra Ilion found herself in August's arms for the first time, her eyes wide with disbelief. She was shocked and confused, but beneath it all, she felt deeply moved. She had been saved, and he hadn't seen her as mere collateral damage.
Lili, meanwhile, was enjoying the moment. It was the first time he had held her in front of so many people, in front of all of Orario.
To her, it almost felt like a public love confession.
But when she saw the blank-faced girl getting a hug from August, jealousy flared up inside her. To Lili, this girl was just a third wheel.
Lili grabbed Cassandra by the collar.
"LET'S GO, YOU TROUBLEMAKING WOMAN."
Lili pulled away from August's embrace and kept a professional smile for the spectators, but she was far from gentle with Cassandra.
"Ah, hey!" Cassandra stumbled, confused, as she was dragged away.
She glanced back at August one last time, then quickly turned her head as a blush appeared on her cheeks. For the first time, the girl who always felt trapped by her fate felt a spark of romantic hope.
"Wait!"
Daphne Lauros rushed forward to stop them. Didn't they notice the rest of the Apollo Familia had arrived? How could they just take the healer in front of everyone?
August casually threw a dagger into the dirt, halting Daphne in her tracks.
"Your opponent is me."
He grabbed his rebar longsword and charged straight at the Apollo Familia. The reinforcement squad had plenty of Level 3 Adventurers, and if he let them chase Lili, things would quickly get out of hand.
"You bastard!"
Daphne drew her sword and lunged, thrusting the moment she closed the distance.
Right behind her, several Level 3s attacked simultaneously—weapons drawn, swarming him, while the remaining Level 1s and the newly arrived Level 2s reorganized their formation.
It was a one-sided fight, with dozens of fighters against just one man.
Hyakinthos Clio knew August was the heart of the Hestia Familia. He wasn't worried about the rookies, even with his healer taken.
But August's way of fighting...
"This guy's sword."
Hyakinthos drew his flamberge, the blade of the sun, and joined the encirclement. The moment he charged in, August ignored every other incoming attack and launched a ferocious assault straight at him.
That bizarre, heavy rebar longsword slammed into his stomach in a single move.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!!"
Hyakinthos felt like he had been shot out of a cannon. He flew through the air and landed in the rubble. He couldn't believe he had been singled out and knocked aside while his whole Familia had August surrounded.
August fought like a wild animal. He didn't care about getting hurt, trading his own injuries just to land a strong hit... As Hyakinthos watched his squad members get knocked out one after another by that rebar sword, he finally understood.
"Don't give him time to use healing magic! His magic can instantly heal his wounds! Take him down in one breath!"
He realized he couldn't treat August like a normal fighter. The only way was to take him down in one focused attack. They couldn't let him keep fighting, getting hurt, and healing over and over like the Freya Familia's top healer. He gripped his sword and rushed back into the fight.
"Yes, sir!"
The Apollo Familia executed the offensive with orderly, militaristic precision.
Still, as time passed, more and more of their fighters fell.
August's clothes were torn to pieces. His skin was covered in cuts from all the sword strikes, and blood ran down his body. Seeing this blood-soaked man who hadn't used a single healing potion, the Apollo Familia started to feel afraid.
Did he have endless stamina? How could anyone fight like this?
"Is this guy made of iron??"
Daphne saw a huge Level 3 from her squad fall after just one hit. The harsh tactic of trading injuries made her nervous. But scared or not, she had to fight with everything she had. If not, they would lose.
After being knocked aside several times, Hyakinthos finally had enough mana again. It was time for his signature magic.
"My Name Is Love, Precious Child Of Light. I Offer My Body To My Sun. My Name Is Sin, Jealousy Of Wind. I Call A Gust Of Wind To My Body. Released Ring Of Fire—Come, Wind Of The West!"
Hyakinthos chanted with the backline mages. A huge ring of light and fire appeared, shooting toward August. The rest of the Apollo members quickly moved back—this spell didn't just cut, it destroyed.
August saw the magic flying toward him and didn't dodge. He gripped his sword and swung it directly at the incoming spell.
"Hahaha! You fool, you don't even know what my magic does! [Aro Zephyros]!"
Hyakinthos thought August didn't know what was coming, and he was right. The spell didn't just automatically follow its target. It exploded when commanded.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM!!"
August took the full force of a Level 3 magical explosion, a blast strong enough to swallow him whole. The backline mages followed up with a coordinated attack that completely engulfed him.
A magical execution.
"Did they get him?? Has Captain August of the Hestia Familia officially been taken down??"
Ibri Achaa had witnessed August's insane strength firsthand. Facing a full siege from the enemy's main force, had he finally been defeated?
Even Ganesha lost his usual excitement. He stared at August's silhouette in the Divine Mirror. Through the smoke, August was still standing straight, hand gripping his sword. That brave, fearless stance sent a chill down Ganesha's spine.
Everyone stood up, eager to find out. Had August been defeated?

The Divine Assembly.
Apollo watched his Familia execute the final strike. Even if it had taken a magical firing squad to bring the man down, he felt no shame. He was ecstatic.
"HAHAHA! HESTIA, IT LOOKS LIKE MY FAMILIA WINS!" Apollo cheered.
This was his first big win against her, and it mattered most. He was already thinking about how he would tease her afterward.
But when he glanced at Hestia, she didn't look worried at all. Instead, she smiled calmly and confidently.
Only Miach, who knew what August could do, realized what was happening.
"Is it starting?" He crossed his arms and leaned forward. He had never seen this kind of magic before.
It wasn't a normal spell...
"Ah, it should be starting now!!" Takemikazuchi said, clearly excited. They had seen the name of August's magic before.

On the Divine Mirror, a unique, heart-pounding track suddenly played across Orario.
"What is that?"
"What's going on?"
When the intense BGM started, Hyakinthos was the first to notice something was off. Why was music playing so loudly in the empty city? He definitely hadn't set it up.
"Hey, look at him," someone muttered.
Everyone looked back at August, who was still standing in the middle of the magical crater, blood running from his wounds.
But now, his blood glowed bright red, shining in the sunlight. As it fell, it made a sharp sizzling sound in the air.
Sssssss.
The blood around August started to boil, then burst into wild flames. With the epic music playing across the city, the fire from his blood wrapped around him.
August, who had been completely out, suddenly opened his eyes. He stared coldly and sharply at the Apollo Familia.
At that moment, blood flames took the shape of a phoenix, spiraling around him as if possessed. A piercing cry of the phoenix resonated loudly.
"IMPOSSIBLE! You took a concentrated magical bombardment of that level! How are you still standing??" Hyakinthos was horrified.
He had calculated it.
The combined power of his magic and the elite squad's attack was more than even a top Adventurer could handle. Even Heith Velvet, the Golden Witch from the Freya Familia, would have been knocked out and unable to heal.
"Could it be..." Daphne Lauros stared in absolute shock. "The legendary miracle—Resurrection Magic."
Resurrection Magic... Every Familia had heard rumors about it—magic that could beat death itself. Those who have it were the rarest of the rare—you might not see one in a century—yet this rookie monster had it. And more than that, it was an auto-resurrection. He didn't need to say anything to use it. It was like a built-in safety net.
Countless Adventurers in Orario had been shocked by August's reckless, suicidal fighting style. Now, seeing this form, paired with that damn music and the sight of him burning up...
"Resurrection Magic! Magic even more frightening than healing... ACTUAL RESURRECTION MAGIC!" Ibri Achaa was stunned.
Magic this powerful could only be compared to the legendary Sage who made the Philosopher's Stone for eternal life. It was a true miracle.
"To think Captain August of the Hestia Familia has this kind of magic..."
At that moment, every Familia in the city was stunned. He could fight, take hits, heal, and now even bring himself back to life.
He was more of a monster than the real monsters!

The Divine Assembly.
Witnessing the magic firsthand, the Gods lost their minds.
"RESURRECTION MAGIC!"
"IT'S REAL!"
"A MIRACLE!"
"No, this guy is a walking collection of overpowered abilities! Is he really not a hero?" Hermes could barely speak through his excitement.
Was this guy born to be a legend?
"I'm not jealous. I'm totally not jealous," Loki repeated to herself, watching August steal the show.
She definitely was... How did this kid end up with so many crazy spells? Miracle-level magic and an auto-resurrection that worked right away? It was the best safety net. Loki was insanely jealous.
"You! How did you get such an amazing kid? Do you have any more?? If you can't handle it, just give me a few of those otherworldly kids!" Loki ran over and grabbed Hestia by the collar, fake-crying.
Gods were prone to jealousy, and Hestia had hit the cosmic jackpot. A miracle hybrid.
"Impossible. Resurrection Magic. If it's Resurrection Magic, then everything we did..." Apollo was stunned.
If this otherworldly human had a spell like that, then all of Apollo's Familia's hard attacks were pointless. They had only managed to take away one of his health bars.
"REFEREE! THIS IS AGAINST THE RULES! LOGICALLY, AUGUST SHOULD BE DISQUALIFIED. HE ALREADY DIED ONCE!"
"..." Apollo was being a sore loser.
'Bastard. If you had that kind of magic, you should have said so!'
Had he known, he never would have picked this fight. Not a single person in Orario could counter chantless auto-resurrection. Since August held all the cards, Apollo's only option was to cry foul.
"OBJECTION!"
Hestia smiled brightly, flashing Apollo her most confident grin.
"Don't forget. This is a Sword and Magic arena. Any taboo magic is allowed. My child has Resurrection Magic, so isn't it perfectly normal for him to use it? My August has returned to peak fighting condition. Now, we move on to round two," she declared proudly.
She knew the resurrection simply refreshed his health. The only downside was that it didn't restore his mana.
"Objection sustained." Ouranos's voice resounded, validating her point.
This was a stage for swords and magic. You couldn't ban a spell just because you didn't have it yourself. August had been nerfed by the rules, relying on his magic to shine was totally fair.
The Gods shot jealous looks at August in the Divine Mirror, their eyes shining. They envied Hestia, but they loved how unpredictable the match was.
August was strong but lacked skill.
The Apollo Familia was losing, but their teamwork and smart planning helped them. This back-and-forth made for great entertainment—a close match was the most exciting.
"What's wrong, Apollo? Are you losing confidence in your children?" Hestia rubbed it in again.
Apollo stubbornly held his ground. "Resurrection magic is too broken! There's no way it doesn't have a side effect!"
