Chapter 75: 75

They soon arrived at the site where the Bifrost first opened and this time too the story followed the cannon as Heimdall was frozen. Thor looked embarrassed but thankfully the Bifrost opened again, and this time along with Rei and his friends, they were sucked in.

Thor also kissed Jane in front of everybody and promised to come back soon after dealing with the problem.

The moment the Bifrost engulfed him, Rei immediately realized one thing, his speed was a toy compared to this. But that made sense.

The sensation wasn't painful. In fact, it was strangely smooth. His body felt weightless as if space itself had stopped applying its rules to him. Countless colors flashed around him in an endless tunnel of light. Blue, gold, green, violet and colors he couldn't even properly describe seemed to dance around the bridge while stars stretched into lines and entire worlds appeared and disappeared within moments.

For someone who had spent months studying space-time techniques, Rei couldn't help but stare. No wonder Odin was feared across the universe. Even that council of supposed Gods didn't bother to welcome him in their city.

For a brief second Rei thought he saw planets, nebulae and strange celestial phenomena far beyond anything visible from Earth. It felt like traveling through the veins of the universe itself.

Then suddenly the journey ended. The light vanished. Solid ground returned beneath his feet. And Rei finally saw Asgard.

"...Holy shit."

Even he couldn't stop the words.

Golden towers stretched toward the heavens. Vast bridges connected impossible structures. Mountains shimmered beneath the sunlight while rivers seemed to flow through the city itself. Everything looked grander than anything humanity had ever built.

"This is home." Thor said proudly.

Then they noticed Heimdall. The guardian stood near the observatory, partially encased in ice thaws. Even from a distance Rei could see that the freezing wasn't ordinary. It carried remnants of powerful magic.

Thor's expression darkened immediately.

"Heimdall."

Lady Sif and the Warriors Three moved forward.

"He still lives." Hogun observed.

"You guys go.." Rei said as his hands had already started to glow and slowly heal Heimdall. He wouldn't die regardless but it was better to take care of him. Maybe someday get his eyes too. Wait! What was he thinking? He wasn't Madara or Obito.

"What?" Lady Sif was confused by this weird magic that this young boy was doing on Heimdall. Though she couldn't understand the magic, she did realize that this was some kind of healing magic.

"You guys need to confront your brother right? You can leave me here while I tend to him and also make sure that your brother doesn't escape through Bifrost. From what I have read in the books, your brother is very cunning and might just escape from your wrath. So I will be here and also take care of this man." Rei said.

"Your books are right. He is quite the slippery eel." Volstagg said. Thor meanwhile trusted Rei. This guy never mocked him even after he defeated him. Though he was sure now that if both of them fought, Thor would win.

Thus he was okay with leaving Heimdall under his care, but Thor, just like others had questions about his abilities. But that could wait.

"You have my thanks, small warrior. I will return soon." Thor said and then flew off with the hammer in his hand, while the rest ran over the bridge. Rei was just busy helping Heimdall.

The story panned out again as the canon. Loki killed the Frost Giant while Thor was infuriated with what Loki had done. And Loki using Gungnir, blasted Loki off the palace.

Meanwhile, several kilometers away, Rei continued healing Heimdall. The frost magic was powerful, but it wasn't something impossible to deal with. Slowly but surely, the ice covering the guardian began melting while healing chakra flowed continuously into his body. Rei was actually impressed by Heimdall's constitution. Most people would have died long ago from being frozen like this.

Then suddenly his Mind's Eye of Kagura picked something up. This ability was really broken. Could even detect chakra-less presence, though not as

"...Here we go again."

A golden beam exploded across the observatory.

BOOOOOOM.

The section where Rei had been sitting vanished completely. Or at least it should have. Loki's eyes narrowed when the smoke cleared and revealed nothing.

"Looking for someone?"

Loki's expression immediately darkened. Rei stood several meters behind him with his hands inside his pockets as if he were taking a casual evening stroll.

"You."

"Oh. Nice to know I left an impression."

Loki immediately fired another blast from Gungnir. Rei vanished. The beam crossed empty air. Then Loki suddenly felt a kick slam directly into his back.

BOOOOM.

The God of Mischief was launched across the observatory floor.

"What?"

He rolled back onto his feet immediately. Rei simply pointed toward the side of Loki's neck.

"You really should have gotten that checked."

Loki's hand instinctively touched the location where Rei had held him back in New Mexico. He didn't feel it before but once Rei indicated, he touched the part and was surprised to see small indentations.

He couldn't understand how he was able to do that, when they first met, but more importantly he wasn't able to erase the mark at all even after using magic.

"You marked me."

"Congratulations. You finally figured it out."

The look on Loki's face was priceless. The next moment dozens of Lokis appeared around the observatory. Every single one raised Gungnir and smirked.

"You think one trick makes you my equal?"

Rei looked around. Then pointed toward one of them.

"You."

Loki's expression twitched, and it was the only one who did so. He hated the mark now and also the fact that he wasn't able to let go of the mark. But that didn't mean he had given up. He used the Gungnir again on him p, only for him to use Shunshin.

But since Shunsin could be slow at times, he had already started marking around the whole observatory. The kunai couldn't be used as it wasn't strong enough to embed itself into this golden observatory.

But marking was easy. And then came the counter attack of Rei. He was actually toying with him until Thor was here.

Every attack landed before Loki could properly react.

A kick on his arm, an elbow on his neck, a punch on the face followed by another kick. The attacks on him was the best physical harm Rei could do without using ninjutsu.

Loki's frustration grew with every passing second.

"STOP DOING THAT!"

"Doing what?"

Rei appeared behind him again.

"Kicking your ass?"

BOOOOM.

Loki crashed through part of the observatory wall. His pride was taking more damage than his body. The worst part was that his illusions weren't helping. To Rei, finding the original was easier than identifying the tallest person in a crowd.

Eventually Loki rose again while breathing heavily. Frost Giant physiology was absurdly strong, so despite all the punishment he had taken, he was still standing. But standing and winning were two entirely different matters.

As Rei was having fun with Loki, until another presence entered his sensory range. Thor was up and running it seemed. A second later lightning crashed across the observatory.

BOOOOOOM.

Thor landed between them with Mjolnir in his hand. His cape fluttered behind him while his eyes immediately locked onto his brother.

"Loki."

For the first time since the battle began, Loki actually looked relieved. Not because Thor had arrived, but because Rei had finally stopped teleporting around and kicking him every few seconds.

Unfortunately for him, that relief lasted less than a second. The moment Loki saw Thor, all the frustration from the last several minutes exploded.

"YOU!"

Gungnir immediately rose. A blast of golden energy erupted toward Thor. Only for Rei to disappear and reappear beside Loki. Before Loki could even finish pulling the trigger, Rei's foot slammed directly into his wrist.

CRACK.

"AAGHH!"

Gungnir flew out of his hand. It was fun having this man clowning around, but that didn't mean he would let him go on. Thor caught the spear instinctively while Rei grabbed Loki by the back of his armor and slammed him face-first into the floor.

BOOOOOOM.

The observatory shook.

"Can you stop trying to murder your brother for five seconds?" Rei asked.

Loki growled and tried summoning illusions again. Nothing happened, mostly because Rei had one knee on his back and one hand on the back of his neck.

"Loki." Thor spoke again. "You lied to me. You lied to mother. You even lied to Father."

Loki stopped struggling. The fight seemed to leave him all at once. Loki knew that he had lost the battle and his ambition to show how good of a King was now in ruins. He had tried to destroy a world to show how capable he was and his ancestry didn't mean anything as he considered Asgard as his home and he himself as a prince.

A few moments later footsteps echoed behind them.
