Kimia herself didn't pay much attention to Kanto.

The Indigo League's overall level wasn't considered especially high compared to regions like Hoenn or Sinnoh.

"If you want to participate in a League tournament, I can help register you with the Kalos League."

"You misunderstand."

"I'm not planning to participate."

"There's just a trainer I think highly of who'll be entering this Indigo Conference."

As far as Sora knew, Ash spent around a month training there.

"Though he basically didn't train anything useful…"

Doing the math, Sora estimated he probably wouldn't make it in time for the events of Mewtwo Strikes Back.

Capturing Mewtwo?

If the opportunity arose, Sora certainly wouldn't mind.

But Mewtwo's situation was extremely troublesome.

The guy was filled with suffering and existential angst.

Always pondering questions like the meaning of existence and the purpose of life.

Sora honestly felt it'd be difficult to get along with him long-term.

Becoming friends would be fine.

But bringing Mewtwo along as part of his battle force?

That seemed unlikely.

"Compared to him, Mewtwo Girl is much easier to get along with."

In the Pokémon anime continuity, there wasn't only one Mewtwo—

there were actually two.

The second Mewtwo was likely cloned by Team Rocket after losing the original Mewtwo.

She first appeared in the Genesect and the Legend Awakened movie.

Because of her female voice actress, fans nicknamed her "Mewtwo Girl."

And she was also the version Sora preferred to recruit.

The two Mewtwos had very similar origins.

Both were cloned Pokémon who destroyed their laboratories and escaped.

But unlike Mewtwo Boy, Mewtwo Girl had once received kindness from wild Pokémon.

Because of that, she believed goodness genuinely existed and would actively help Pokémon and humans in distress.

Even her memory-erasing methods were gentler.

Instead of completely wiping memories, she merely blurred people's impressions of her existence.

All in all—if given the chance, Sora would absolutely rescue Mewtwo Girl and recruit her into his team.

"Though right now, she probably hasn't been cloned yet, right?"

Then Sora reconsidered.

"Actually, maybe not."

"There's no rule saying Mewtwo Girl had to be cloned after Mewtwo escaped Giovanni."

"For all I know, she might already exist by now."

In a one-on-one fight, he might not necessarily withstand Ogerpon's Ivy Cudgel.

Sora was honestly worried she might just beat young Mewtwo Boy to death.

With Ogerpon and Volcanion's strength, those devices probably couldn't contain them.

But there was no reason to take unnecessary risks.

Calyrex's strength was absolutely no weaker than peak Mewtwo's—

possibly even stronger.

This was a being who, thousands of years ago, after sharing its power and creating two divine steeds, still retained enough strength to relocate an entire forest's worth of Pokémon during the Darkest Day meteor disaster.

Psychic abilities covering fifty kilometers.

A truly broken existence.

Most importantly—

Calyrex's power essentially had no upper limit.

As long as enough people believed in it, Calyrex could continue growing stronger indefinitely.

Conversely, once faith vanished, it would weaken into a useless rabbit.

It was difficult to imagine just how terrifying Calyrex must have been at its peak, when the entire Galar region still worshipped it.
