Chapter 79
Xikaer City Grand Marketplace.
Here, in addition to the open trading and buying on the surface, there was also an underground auction house that, while not exactly a dark industry, was not displayed openly.
Although it was underground, it was well-known among mercenaries, merchants, and nobles.
Today was the day the auction began, and the auction house was already packed with people.
Here, those who could have seats were people with some status and position, while most of the others crowded and stood in the back.
Above, there were also several VIP rooms, where most of the real big shots from various industries were located.
"Well then, everyone has arrived, let the auction begin."
When the curtain was drawn, a man who appeared to be over fifty years old appeared on stage, his voice slightly weathered.
"I'm sure most of you probably know me, but as a matter of routine, and because there may indeed be new guests, I'll still introduce myself. This old man has long since discarded his name, you may simply call me Elder Yuan."
