The Heretic's Mana-Bound Sanctuary

Chapter 75: Kaelen’s Plan

By the fourth day of the occupation, the Sphere of Judgment was unrecognizable.

The pristine, woven-light architecture of the celestial dimension had been aggressively systematically digested by the localized expansion of Kaelen’s Black Genesis domain. The towering white-marble pillars were now jagged columns of hyper-dense, bleeding obsidian. The ambient holy static that once hummed with the absolute laws of heaven had been forcefully suffocated, replaced by the deafening, rhythmic crash of Elara’s alchemical forges.

Thick, radioactive violet smog choked the skies, turning the celestial zenith into a permanent, suffocating twilight.

He sat upon his newly forged throne at the apex of the ruined Zenith Spire. The chair was carved directly from the petrified, blackened remains of the central judicial dais. He rested his chin on his knuckles, his pitch-black eyes lazily observing the administrative nightmare unfolding beneath him.

At the base of the dais, a massive desk of rotting star-metal had been erected.

Sitting at the desk was High Arbiter Cassius. The Level 115 celestial judge was no longer clad in pristine white-gold armor. He wore heavy, rusted shackles of Void-iron around his wrists and neck. His ruined eye sockets wept a slow, continuous stream of black fluid, the physical manifestation of Kaelen’s God-Eater authority permanently infecting his core.

Cassius was not fighting. He was drafting.

Under the crushing, intoxicating gravity of Kaelen’s aura, the fallen Arbiter was forcefully rewriting the conceptual bedrock of his own dimension. Every time his starlight quill scratched across the parchment, a new Abyssal law was legally bound into the celestial network.

"Section Nine, Clause Three," he commanded smoothly, his multi-tonal voice vibrating with absolute authority. "The celestial leylines previously routed to the healing fonts of the lower wards are to be diverted entirely to the alchemical foundries. Any angel caught attempting to siphon ambient mana will be conceptually unwritten."

Cassius’s hand violently trembled, but he did not stop writing. "It... it is done, Emperor."

"Good," he smirked, taking a slow sip of crimson wine. "Now, draft the execution warrants for the remaining High Magistrates hiding in the western sectors. I want their cores legally reclassified as raw materials."

A heavy, rhythmic thudding of boots echoed up the spiraling obsidian staircase.

She strode onto the platform, her massive Exalted-Tier greatsword resting casually against her shoulder. The Eclipse Vanguard was not wearing her helmet, allowing the ambient violet light to catch the predatory, euphoric flush on her cheeks. Behind her, the deafening roar of a hundred thousand Void-iron Brutes echoed from the sprawling courtyard far below.

"The perimeter is secured, my Sovereign," she reported, dropping to one knee with flawless, martial grace. "The remaining Inquisitors have been stripped of their wings and bound in heavy iron. They are currently being herded into the center of the ruins."

He slowly stood up, the sheer density of his presence actively suppressing the ambient wind. He walked down the steps of the dais, stopping just inches from his kneeling general.

"And the Scales?" he asked, his voice dropping to a heavy, resonant purr.

"The Forge-Master works faster than the scribes," she grinned, looking up at him with corrupted golden eyes. "She has completely melted down the True Scales of Judgment. The star-metal has been recast into a massive, sunken gladiatorial pit directly over the Sphere’s primary leyline."

He reached out, his large, calloused hand gently gripping Seraphina’s jaw. He tilted her face up, forcing her to meet his bottomless gaze. The Demigoddess let out a soft, involuntary gasp as the hyper-dense void mana actively washed over her skin.

"This is no longer just a war of attrition, Seraphina," he whispered. "I did not conquer this Sphere just to tear it down. I conquered it to build you an anvil."

He released her jaw and gestured toward the edge of the platform, looking down at the massive, newly constructed arena of black metal and rusted gold dominating the center of the Abyssal Court.

"The Vanguard is the martial authority of my empire," he declared, his voice broadcasting across the localized telepathic link to his entire army. "But an army forged only from the residual souls of mortals is too brittle to face the higher heavens. They need to be tempered. They need to bleed against celestial steel until their fear is completely eradicated."

She stood up, her armor sparking with volatile black fire. She understood exactly what her Emperor was giving her. He wasn’t just giving her an army; he was giving her the conceptual authority to evolve them.

"You want me to break them, Master," she whispered, her bloodlust actively spiking.

"I want you to reforge them," he corrected smoothly. "Take the first cohort of Brutes down into the pit. Throw the wingless Inquisitors in with them. There are no formations. There is no strategy. Just raw survival. If a Brute falls, Elara will recycle its iron. If a Brute survives and shatters an angel’s core, it will absorb the localized divinity and evolve."

She practically vibrated with manic anticipation. "And the angels, Emperor? What if they refuse to fight?"

From his desk, the broken Arbiter let out a hollow, rattling sob.

He didn’t even look at Cassius. "They are zealots. They will fight to their last breath, believing they can still earn redemption in the eyes of their parasite Goddess. Let them believe it. Their desperation will only make the experience points richer."

Seraphina bowed deeply, her greatsword humming with catastrophic intent. "I will forge you a legion of god-slayers, my Demigod."

She turned and marched back down the obsidian staircase, her heavy boots echoing like the ticking clock of heaven’s demise.

He walked back to his throne, completely unfazed by the encroaching darkness he had permanently anchored into the cosmic map. The Sphere of Judgment was no longer a blockade; it was an engine. Every drop of golden blood spilled in the arena below would fuel the evolution of his swarm, ensuring that when they finally marched on the next Sphere, they would not just be monsters of iron and void.

They would be apex predators.

"Keep writing, Cassius," he commanded, leaning back into his throne as the first horrifying screams of the live-fire training began to echo from the distant arena.
