I Can Summon Legendary Figuress

Chapter 202: God Killer

"Yawnnn."

The Ao Clan was surprisingly generous enough to prepare a massive, private courtyard in the very center of Reverse Scale City for him.

It was located in one of the most luxurious, heavily guarded districts in the entire dragon capital.

Millions of demi-humans would do absolutely anything just to find a way to get permanent residency here.

The courtyard itself was incredibly spacious, surrounded by elegant stone buildings and carefully maintained exotic gardens.

Even though Ethen had only been stationed here for a very short time, the political message was loud and clear.

It was painfully obvious that this was a secured place strictly reserved for people with supreme status.

As Ethen slowly stood up from the massive bed, the thick silk cover cloth around him slipped down.

The morning sunlight leaked through the window, revealing his chiseled chest glistening with a thin layer of sweat.

He stared down at the soft floor beneath him where two beautiful women were coiled up together in the sheets.

He smiled warmly to himself before walking over to a wooden stand to put on his dark robes.

"Where are you going so early?"

Hela was the first to wake up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

An indignant, highly annoyed look quickly formed on her beautiful face as she stared Ethen down from the bed.

Their mother and grandmother had been aggressively pushing both of them to have Ethen’s children lately.

It was a calculated political move to completely secure their branch’s absolute dominance in the family hierarchy.

But despite their best, most intimate efforts over the past few days, he had been completely unresponsive to the idea.

It was incredibly annoying for the two proud sisters.

They had already made their intentions loud and clear several times since arriving in the Nether Realm. But Ethen had made several excuses to get out of the obligation of having children yet.

Now Ethen had much more pressing, life-threatening things occupying his active mind.

"Meeting the prince."

Ethen smiled softly, crouching down beside the bed and kissing her gently on the cheek.

How would he be able to explain to them how truly weak he was with all these gods breathing down his neck? He could not have children knowing that fact.

He didn’t linger to argue, proceeding to walk straight out of the quiet dojo and into the breezy courtyard.

As he moved through the stone pathways, he noticed several heavy wooden boxes being brought into the compound.

They were tightly wrapped up in thick iron chains and being carried cautiously toward a secluded area in the back.

The Ao Clan guards moving them looked incredibly nervous, keeping their hands resting on their weapons.

Ethen didn’t pay much mind to their suspicious, hurried activities.

He had absolutely no reason to care about whatever contraband the Ao Clan was moving around inside their own quarters.

Instead, he simply proceeded outside the main gates, where a lavish, beast-drawn carriage was waiting for him.

"Lorn."

The familiar young man from the royal Ao Clan stood quietly before him, holding the carriage door open.

Although Ethen had forcibly taken over his mind through Morgana’s brutal psychic attacks, he acted perfectly normal.

No one in the entire military camp seemed to have noticed anything remotely strange about his behavior.

Of course, Ethen didn’t know for sure whether the God Almighty, Duke Ao, was aware of the mental tampering.

That ancient, terrifying dragon was the one person in this entire region he couldn’t confidently account for.

Almost no one else, however, seemed to have any idea that their precious prince was now a human’s loyal slave.

"Let’s go."

Ethen smiled confidently and boarded the luxurious carriage, sinking into the plush leather seats.

....

"Did you actually hear the latest news? The new human envoy is the exact same one who kidnapped Ao Lorn."

"Honestly, that arrogant young man doesn’t know what’s good for him. The Ao family is notoriously petty and cruel."

"Hehe, they are just playing nice for the cameras now, but we all know that young man is being heavily schemed against."

Inside a massive, exclusive clubhouse sitting atop one of the more prestigious restaurants in Reverse Scale City, voices echoed.

A large group of wealthy nobles from the four major Dragon God clans could be seen lounging on expensive sofas.

The shocking news of Ethen’s massive problems with Duke Ao had spread through the city like wildfire.

The unbelievable fact that he was now safely residing inside Reverse Scale City had spread even further.

Absolutely everyone in the high society knew what had happened between the human Messenger of Karth and the Ao Clan.

And now that the two bitter sides were awkwardly occupying the exact same city, the tension was unbearable.

Many of the bored nobles fully expected some sort of bloody, dramatic show to quickly erupt in the streets.

The nobles had been openly discussing the political matter for some time when the heavy wooden doors suddenly opened.

"That’s him!"

One of the younger Dragon nobles immediately pointed out with a sharp gasp as Ethen casually appeared inside the clubhouse.

Several hostile and curious gazes turned toward the entrance at the exact same time.

Some of the dragons were genuinely curious to see a real human Demi God up close.

Others were openly hostile, their vertical pupils narrowing with intense, unrestrained killing intent.

A few simply wanted to see exactly what kind of person could cause so much trouble for the mighty Duke Ao and live.

"Over here."

Lorn stepped forward and dutifully led Ethen towards a large, private booth in the corner of the room.

Several heavily armored Ao Clan guards stood strict guard around the perimeter of the table.

At the sight of their royal prince approaching, they naturally gave way, allowing Ethen safely inside the booth.

"Good day, my friends."

Ethen smiled broadly, taking a comfortable seat unprompted in the middle of the tense room.

"Envoy..."

Ao Lykos smiled thinly, immediately holding up a hand and signaling his aggressive brothers not to cause trouble for Ethen.

His primary job here in Reverse Scale City was to act as a stable diplomatic bridge between the two opposing sides.

He had to make absolutely sure that no one went overboard and broke the rules of engagement in this war.

This delicate balance was absolutely essential for the ongoing war effort across the Nether Realm.

The entire purpose of having an Envoy system was to allow both sides to fight on the borders conventionally.

Without it, the Almighty Gods would step in and quickly turn the entire region into scorched earth.

They had to treat him relatively well at the grassroots level to maintain the illusion of civility.

Of course, this did not mean he couldn’t be harmed or poisoned in the dark when no one was looking.

Diplomacy had its strict limits, especially in a city filled with bloodthirsty predators.

"What do we have here?"

Ethen’s dark eyes moved curiously toward the silver plates sitting in front of the young dragons.

"Is that Blood Serpent God meat?"

He asked the question casually, looking directly at the glowing slabs of meat resting in their plates.

"Hm?"

One of the princes, a proud member of the Chi Clan with long whiskers shaking slightly on his face, paused his meal.

He looked up at Ethen with a mixture of deep confusion and sudden, sharp suspicion.

"How exactly do you know about that?"

Blood Serpent meat was strictly forbidden to ever be traded or shared with the human factions.

It wasn’t even publicly allowed to be traded or sold within normal Dragon society markets.

The violent death of the Blood Serpent God had resulted in his massive body being divided only among the strongest clans.

But the official distribution of his highly prized flesh remained an incredibly sensitive, classified matter.

So how on earth did this random human envoy immediately know what it looked and smelled like?

"Heheh, calm down, my friends. Our human friend here has a bit of a personal history with the Blood Serpent God."

Ao Lykos quickly stepped in to calm the rapidly escalating situation at the table.

"What do you mean by that?"

Another young man asked, his hand slowly reaching toward the hilt of his sword.

"He was a core part of the elite infiltrators that successfully ambushed the Blood Serpent God and had him killed."

As Ao Lykos finished speaking those heavy words, the entire crowded room went dead silent.

The mocking smiles instantly disappeared from the faces of the watching nobles.

The loud, casual atmosphere of the clubhouse vanished entirely in the blink of an eye.

Deep frowns appeared on their scaly faces as they looked between each other in absolute, paralyzed shock.

For a long, tense moment, no one in the room dared to say a single thing.

They had fully expected the new human Envoy to be an important political figure from the Bastion.

They hadn’t expected him to be one of the legendary humans directly responsible for the death of a Godbeast.
