Chapter 1
Endless white light swallowed Izumi Yanagi's entire vision.
Just moments ago, he had still been sitting inside the cockpit of his fighter jet, tearing through a sea of clouds at insane speeds. The engine roared at its limit, and the sky itself seemed to tremble around him.
His target was already in sight.
A nuclear warhead.
Izumi didn't even have time to blink before the nose of his aircraft slammed into it.
Then everything vanished.
When his consciousness returned, he found himself standing in the middle of a void.
There was no sky.
No ground.
No direction.
Nothing but endless emptiness stretching infinitely in every direction.
Standing before him was a woman with golden hair so beautiful that it seemed unreal. Her golden eyes emitted a gentle radiance that somehow made the empty void feel alive.
Izumi stared at her for several seconds before slowly nodding.
"I see."
The woman responded with a casual smile.
"Yep."
Her tone sounded as if she were discussing the weather.
"Everything you did was pointless."
Izumi showed no reaction.
The woman continued.
"The aircraft you were piloting exploded the moment it collided with that nuclear warhead."
Her smile widened.
"And the warhead itself wasn't even scratched."
Silence filled the empty space.
Izumi let out a long sigh.
"Huuuh..."
The woman tilted her head.
"Is there a problem?"
"No."
Izumi slowly shook his head.
But a moment later, he laughed.
A small laugh that sounded strangely out of place within the endless void.
"Hahaha..."
The longer he laughed, the louder it became.
The woman raised an eyebrow.
"What are you laughing at?"
Izumi rubbed his face.
"It's just..."
A bitter smile appeared on his lips.
"That's pretty embarrassing."
"Embarrassing?"
"I thought my death would look cooler than that."
He gazed into the distance as though looking back at the past.
"My father once rammed an enemy warship with his fighter jet."
His voice carried a deep sense of respect.
"But me?"
A laugh escaped him once again.
"My aircraft couldn't even leave a scratch on the bomb I crashed into."
"Hahaha..."
"Turns out we're worlds apart."
After that, silence returned.
Izumi's laughter disappeared.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
His smile vanished.
And the atmosphere around them changed.
The man's gaze gradually turned cold.
Sharp.
Lethal.
Without realizing it, the aura of a veteran who had spent decades on the battlefield emerged from his very being.
His eyes locked onto the woman.
"By the way..."
His voice became lower.
"What exactly are you?"
The woman seemed completely unbothered.
"Hmm."
She thought for a moment.
"I am an entity that exists beyond this dimension."
"Beyond this dimension?"
"Most people would call me an Outer God."
"Outer God?"
"Yes."
Izumi frowned.
"What's that?"
The woman looked genuinely troubled.
"Hmm..."
"That's difficult to explain."
Eventually, she gave up.
"More importantly, I'm interested in you."
"Huh?"
Izumi blinked.
Then a cynical smile appeared on his face.
"Hahahaha..."
He laughed while shaking his head.
"My apologies, Miss."
"I'm not interested in women at all."
The woman froze.
"What?"
"I think women are weak and useless."
A twitch appeared at the corner of her eye.
"We... weak?"
"And useless?"
"Yes."
Izumi answered without the slightest hesitation.
For the first time, the woman's expression nearly collapsed.
Fortunately, she managed to hold it together.
"I think you've misunderstood."
She took a deep breath.
"That's not the kind of interest I meant."
"Hm?"
"I'm interested in creating a new story with you."
Izumi looked even more confused.
"Huh?"
Seeing his reaction, the woman finally gave up.
"Aaahh! Forget it!"
She ruffled her own hair in frustration.
"The point is!"
She pointed directly at him.
"I'm offering you a chance to live again in another world!"
This time, Izumi truly fell silent.
"Live again?"
"Yes."
"You can do that?"
"Not exactly."
"Hm?"
"I don't revive the dead."
"I simply transfer your soul and memories into a new body."
Izumi thought for a moment.
"So it's like a brain transplant?"
The woman blinked.
"A brain transplant?"
"I once read an article about a forbidden experiment."
Izumi shrugged.
"Moving someone's brain into another person's body."
"It's basically the same thing, right?"
The woman fell silent.
For a long time.
A very long time.
"..."
"..."
"Um..."
Eventually, she gave up.
"Sure. Let's go with that."
Izumi's eyes immediately lit up.
"Hahahaha!"
"Interesting!"
The woman smiled faintly.
"So?"
"Do you want it?"
"Of course."
The answer came without hesitation.
"But don't expect anything from a man like me."
The woman shook her head.
"I don't expect anything at all."
"You'll be free to do whatever you want after you're reborn."
"Then I accept."
"Good."
The woman smiled in satisfaction.
However, her expression soon turned serious.
"There are a few things you should know."
"The world you're about to enter is vast."
"Extremely dangerous."
"A world filled with monsters."
"A world inhabited by hundreds of races."
"A world overflowing with strange powers and foreign energies."
Her golden eyes stared directly into Izumi's.
"Because of that..."
"Before you're reborn..."
"I'll grant you one choice."
"A choice?"
"You may ask for any power you desire."
"High-level magic."
"Special energies."
"Legendary artifacts."
"Or anything else related to power."
Izumi smiled.
For the first time, it looked completely genuine.
"When I was a child..."
"Someone once asked me a question."
"If you could have one wish, what would it be?"
The woman listened quietly.
"And?"
Izumi grinned.
"I wanted the ability to create anything I've ever seen."
The woman fell silent.
"That's what you want?"
"OF COURSE!"
Izumi's voice echoed throughout the void.
"I've wanted it for years!"
The woman sighed.
"What exactly do you want to create?"
Izumi answered without hesitation.
"Every kind of weapon."
A moment later, the woman's eyes shone.
She glimpsed a portion of Izumi's memories.
Tanks.
Fighter jets.
Battleships.
Artillery.
Missiles.
Nuclear weapons.
Hydrogen bombs.
And thousands of other weapons.
"Ooh..."
Now she understood.
"But..."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course."
"Give me that power."
The woman looked hesitant.
"The world you're about to enter is filled with absurd powers."
"If that's the only ability you bring with you..."
"I almost feel sorry for you."
Izumi immediately frowned.
"Why are you feeling sorry for me?"
"You said I was free to choose."
"So give me that."
"Hah..."
The woman finally gave in.
"Very well."
Golden light emerged from her body.
Then flowed into Izumi's soul.
Izumi immediately looked down at himself.
"Is that it?"
"Can I create anything I want now?"
"Yes."
The woman nodded.
But deep inside, she thought:
If he goes to that world with only a power this small...
Wouldn't the story become incredibly boring?
Quietly, she raised her hand once more.
A second light appeared.
Far stronger than the first.
It flowed into Izumi's soul.
"Hm?"
Izumi blinked.
"What was that second light?"
"It's nothing."
The woman immediately looked away.
What she didn't tell him was that she had just granted him an immortal body and strengthened his creation ability many times over.
Izumi observed her for a moment.
"You look tired."
"Are you alright?"
"It's fine."
"Nothing serious."
"Hm."
Izumi nodded.
"Still..."
"I never expected it."
"So women really are this weak, huh?"
The woman's smile froze.
"Hmmmm..."
Her voice suddenly sounded extremely dangerous.
"I see..."
Yet she continued smiling.
"Anyway."
"Everything is ready."
"It's time for your rebirth."
"I've also found a very suitable vessel for you."
Izumi nodded.
"Then do it now."
The woman raised her hand.
The space before them tore apart.
Time distorted.
Dimensions collided.
A power that surpassed even the gods began to move.
Then Izumi's soul was pushed into the crack.
His consciousness began to fade.
But just before everything disappeared...
He saw something.
The woman's body.
It was eroding away.
Little by little.
As though her very existence was crumbling apart.
Izumi's eyes narrowed slightly.
But it was already too late.
Darkness swallowed his consciousness.
And the woman was left alone.
Her body continued to fade.
Growing more transparent with every passing moment.
Yet a faint smile remained on her face.
"Finally..."
Her voice was weak.
"I hope..."
"At least this time..."
"My avatar..."
"You can write a good story..."
And for the last time...
The Outer God smiled.
Then she vanished without leaving behind even the slightest trace.
