Chapter 71: The Price of Discretion
The Prime classroom was filled with a heavy, expectant silence as the students and their guides settled into their seats. Today’s session was less of a lecture and more of a strategic briefing. At the front of the room, the lead specialist stood with a holographic projector, the blue light casting sharp shadows across her stern features.
“Listen closely,” the specialist began, her voice cutting through the room. “Your curriculum for the year has been finalized. You will find your schedules on your tablets. Beyond the academic requirements, we are now moving into the reproductive phase of your training. You are required to schedule the first sexual encounter with each of your selected partners.”
A ripple of excitement and nervousness surged through the room. The specialist didn’t soften her tone. “The Academy ensures that both Prime and partner are in peak physiological condition. We provide a window for these encounters to ensure maximum fertility and health. If you have specific requests regarding the location—be it a private suite, a botanical garden, or a specialized sensory room—the Academy will attempt to accommodate you, provided the request is reasonable.”
She paused, her gaze lingering on the group. “Most of you will receive your medical check-up results today. Some may take a few more days; as we’ve already discussed, certain Primes were… inefficient… in managing their queues, leading to delays in processing.”
A few Primes shifted uncomfortably, the reminder of their failure to manage their women hanging over them.
“Furthermore,” the specialist continued, her voice taking on a slightly more critical edge, “for those of you who feel your performance is lacking, or who require specific guidance on sex techniques and stamina, one-on-one sessions with your assigned specialist can be arranged. We have seen a disappointing number of reports from the preliminary screenings. Some of you are struggling with insufficient sperm counts, others with premature ejaculation, and in a few regrettable cases, an inability to maintain a firm erection under the pressure of the Academy’s expectations.”
She paused, her gaze sweeping over the flushed faces of several Primes. “A Prime’s value is not just in his title, but in his biological capacity to provide. If you are failing to satisfy your partners or, worse, failing to conceive, you are a liability to your lineage.”
She then detailed the nature of the support available. “Guidance can take several forms. For those with purely physiological issues, we provide medical regimens. However, for those lacking in skill, we offer direct, hands-on training. You can arrange sessions with our staff of sex experts—professionals who will guide you directly through the act. This involves simulated encounters where the expert will engage with you physically, correcting your rhythm, teaching you how to target the correct pleasure points, and pushing your endurance to its limit until your performance is satisfactory.”
She added a small, almost imperceptible smile. “While I am certain some of you,” she added, her eyes flickering briefly toward Jun with a hint of knowing respect, “will find such guidance redundant, the offer stands. After all, there is a vast difference between simply ‘performing’ and mastering the art of pleasure.”
As the briefing continued, Jun shifted in his seat, leaning back and resting his chin on the palm of his hand. He didn’t look at them, but he could feel the weight of several gazes pressing against him. To his left and right, other Primes were watching him—some with curiosity, others with blatant hostility. The Japanese Primes, in particular, looked as if they wanted to erase him from the room. To them, the Academy was a place of purist bloodlines and rigid tradition. Seeing Sora—the undisputed ‘crown jewel’ of the Japanese elite—devoted to a Korean man was a blow to their pride. To them, it wasn’t just a romantic choice; it was a loss of a national asset.
Sora, sitting beside him, felt the waves of resentment radiating from the other side of the room. She didn’t flinch. Instead, she leaned in closer to Jun, her shoulder pressing firmly against his arm and her scent—a mix of expensive perfume and the lingering musk of their morning—filling his senses. It was a deliberate move, a silent declaration to everyone watching that her choice was absolute.
She tilted her head, her voice a barely audible whisper that only Jun could hear. “Does it bother you, Jun? The way they’re looking at us?”
Jun didn’t even turn his head. He simply let out a soft, amused huff. “Not in the slightest,” he replied, his voice calm and devoid of any insecurity.
Without warning, he turned his head slightly and pressed a lingering, tender kiss to her cheek. It was a small gesture, but in the suffocated atmosphere of the classroom, it felt like a thunderclap.
Sora’s breath hitched, and a vivid, rosy blush crept across her cheeks. She didn’t pull away; instead, she leaned further into him, a playful, flirtatious smile playing on her lips. “My, my… so bold in front of everyone,” she whispered, her eyes shimmering with a mixture of shyness and pride.
Across the room, the Japanese Primes stiffened. Their expressions remained masks of stoic indifference, but their eyes flared with silent anger. They watched the exchange with a la lusted-after intensity, their knuckles whitening as they gripped their tablets. To them, every second of Jun’s affection for Sora was a public reminder that the “crown jewel” of their nation had found a master who didn’t fit their purist mold.
Suddenly, the tablets on the desks chimed in unison. The medical check-up results had arrived.
In the surrounding classrooms, a wave of hushed whispers and sighs broke out. Most of the girls had received their results, accompanied by specific medical and sexual recommendations for their first encounter with their Prime.
Hana, Mei, and Akane all looked at their screens. Their health checks were flawless, and the reports contained specific recommendations for their first time with Jun—suggestions on positions, timing, and physiological markers to watch for to ensure a successful union.
Hana, however, let out a low, frustrated groan, her eyes narrowing at a specific section of her report. “Are you kidding me?!” she hissed, her voice a mixture of stress and disbelief. “Two pounds? I gained two pounds since the last check? This is a disaster!”
A few girls who were friendly with Hana quickly gathered around her, their voices a blend of genuine concern and subtle competition. “Two pounds? Hana, that’s practically nothing!” one girl chirped, though her eyes were scanning Hana’s screen with predatory intensity. “But look at the ‘Lust Index’ section. Is it true your hormonal levels are peaking? I bet the Academy’s recommendation for ‘optimal timing’ is basically telling you that you’re in peak heat.”
“I don’t care about the index!” Hana huffed, though she subconsciously straightened her posture, her chest pushing forward. “Two pounds is two pounds. If the other girls see this, they’ll say I’m letting myself go. I can’t be the ‘Nation’s Sweetheart’ if I’m not perfectly toned!”
Another girl leaned in, her voice dropping. “Speaking of recommendations… did yours mention the ‘Sensation Threshold’? Mine said my sensitivity was ‘moderate,’ but look at Akane-chan’s. I bet her results are just as disciplined as she is.”
Akane gave a small, polite smile, though she didn’t show her screen. “The reports are simply data,” she replied calmly. “The actual experience is what matters.”
Mei remained quiet, her expression neutral as she listened. She didn’t join in the chatter, her gaze occasionally drifting toward Jun. While the other girls were obsessing over weight and “indices,” Mei was analyzing the data from a different angle. She noticed the specific recommendations for Jun’s partners—the emphasis on “high-volume capacity” and “stamina endurance.”
Mei let out a soft, almost imperceptible hum. She didn’t care about a few pounds or a hormonal peak. She was far more interested in the fact that the Academy’s medical staff had explicitly flagged Jun’s “virility markers” as being in the top 0.1% of the entire student body. To her, the “recommendations” weren’t just medical advice; they were a roadmap to the intensity she knew she wanted.
As the group chatted, one of the girls leaned in, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. “Hana, Akane… we’ve heard some things. Rumors, really. We just wanted to make sure everything is okay with Jun-sama.”
Hana blinked, her annoyance at her weight momentarily forgotten. “Rumors? What are you talking about?”
The girl hesitated, glancing around to ensure no one else was listening. “Well… some of the unselected girls are saying that Jun-sama has… health problems. That’s why he only picked a few girls. They say Sora-sama had to hand-pick his partners because he can’t handle more, and that his stamina is… well, that he’s only good for one round before he’s completely spent.”
She paused, her voice dropping even further, as if she were sharing a deep state secret. “And it’s not just the stamina. There’s a rumor that his ‘virility markers’ are actually unstable. Some are saying he suffers from ‘rapid depletion’—that he can’t maintain his performance for more than ten minutes without crashing. They say he’s basically a ‘one-hit wonder’ who looks the part but lacks the biological engine to keep up with a real harem.”
The girl continued, her expression a mix of pity and skepticism. “Some of the girls in the common dorms are even whispering that Sora-sama is essentially ‘managing’ his health. They claim she only picked Akane and Mei because they’re the only ones who can tolerate his… lack of endurance. They say he’s practically a fragile flower in the bedroom, and that the only reason he’s a Prime is because of his family’s connections, not his actual performance.”
“And the most ridiculous part?” the girl added with a small smirk. “Some are saying he has a ‘capacity issue’—that he can’t actually produce enough volume to satisfy more than one woman per day. They’re calling him ‘The Drought’ behind his back, claiming that if he picked twenty girls, half of them would be left waiting in a dry spell for a week.”
Hana’s expression shifted from confusion to sheer annoyance. The idea of Jun—the man who radiated a calm, dominant power—being a “fragile flower” or suffering from a “drought” was almost offensive. Mei’s eyes sharpened, a cold glint appearing in her gaze. Having seen Jun’s presence and felt the raw intensity of his aura, the idea that he was “spent” after one round felt like a deliberate lie.
Akane, ever the diplomat, placed a calming hand on Hana’s shoulder. “That’s an interesting theory,” she said, her voice calm and measured. “Tell me, where exactly did these rumors originate?”
The girls looked at each other, unsure. “We’re not sure. It’s just… talk in the common dorms. But recently, several girls who were selected by other Primes have been visiting the common dorms, bringing snacks and presents for those of us who weren’t picked. After those visits, the rumors started spreading. It’s like they’re trying to ‘comfort’ us by suggesting Jun-sama isn’t as… potent… as he seems.”
Hana let out a sharp, mocking laugh. “Comforting us? Please. They’re just trying to cope with the fact that they weren’t the ones he wanted.”
She paused, a thoughtful, slightly suspicious look crossing her face. “But let me ask you… is it just Jun? Or are they dragging other Primes through the mud too? I mean, there are plenty of guys in this room who probably do have issues.”
The girl hesitated, thinking for a moment. “I mean, they mention others, of course. There’s talk about the Prime from the Kyoto family being ‘too fragile’ for the bedroom, and some rumors that the American candidate is just all talk and no follow-through. But honestly… it’s mostly Jun-sama. He’s the main topic of conversation.”
She leaned in closer, her voice becoming more animated. “The rumors about the other guys are just… general. But the ones about Jun-sama are so specific. They don’t just say he’s ‘not that great’; they talk about his ‘stamina crashes’ and his ‘low volume.’ It’s like they’ve coordinated their stories. It’s not just random gossip; it’s a targeted campaign.”
Hana narrowed her eyes, her competitive streak flaring. “A targeted campaign, huh? That’s a lot of effort just to ‘comfort’ some unselected girls. It sounds more like they’re trying to lower his value so they can feel better about not being picked.”
Mei, who had been listening in silence, finally spoke, her voice cool and analytical. “It’s a classic strategy. When you can’t attain the best, you try to convince everyone that the ‘best’ is actually flawed. It’s a way of protecting their own ego.”
Hana grinned, a predatory glint appearing in her eyes. “Exactly. They’re trying to paint him as a ‘drought’ because they can’t handle the fact that he’s a flood they’ll never get to experience.”
