Tomboy Island

Day 9 – The More Things Change – Part 8

They went southwest. It was the direct route to where they were supposed to met up with everyone and they would arrive just in time for nightfall. They did not have to hurry either. A leisurely pace would do.

The lack of shade on their path was the only bother. The sun was still hot on their skin. It was not nearly as bad as the noon had been. Any break in the flatness of this part of the landscape would have been nice though. There was scarcely even a mound around.

Matter of fact, it was all a little too flat.

Also, weren’t those mounds a little too rhythmic in their occurrence?

Alex stopped, turned to one of those mounds, and climbed on top of it. It only took him three paces. “Why are you getting closer to the sun?” Astrid asked, fanning air into her face with her own hand. “Isn’t it hot enough where you’re standing?”

Her joking questions did make Alex smirk. Still, he was looking around. For once, it wasn’t his intuition that told him that there was something off. This time, it was good old human pattern recognition. The mounds around were arrayed in softly curved lines and rose from the very flat floor in regularity. They were also of nearly uniform size. It was all just off enough to be missed in passing. Now that Alex was taking it all in deliberately, he could see it though.

“There was a town here!” he shouted and gestured for the three of them to come up to where he was. Once they stood by his side, he began to point. “See the way the mounds are positioned? They outline a road. If you look very carefully, you can even see a slight depression between the rows.”

“Now that you say it.” Jane did her own scanning, soon nodding in agreement. “I wonder if anything remains.”

“If it does, it would be there.” Alex pointed them towards one particular anomaly. With the surrounding roads pointed out, one could see the place they all led to. It then further stood out as the largest of the mounds, rising three metres up from the rest of the plane. With the surrounding context, it was clearly a man-made earthwork. Further, it was located at the edge of what likely had been the public plaza. In other words, it must have been where the manor of the town was located.

Curious, the party went over and began to snoop around. At first inspection, it seemed to just be a large pile of dirt. Grass had long since claimed the entire surface. After two rounds around it, Alex decided to go for a shot in the dark.

Archaeologists the world over would have gone pale at what he was about to do. Swinging the Cataclysmic Greatsword at the earthwork was guaranteed to shatter any artifacts buried in the dirt. Alex, however, was more concerned with answers than historic trinkets.

The weapon split the earth. The first swing cleaved apart grass and dirt, the second sent it flying. Bits of stones were mixed in with the earth. Alex spotted splintered cobblestone. Ramming the sword into the ground besides him, he continued on with his hands. Titanic strength allowed him to pull off the gathered dirt chunk by chunk, revealing the building underneath.

It was of a strange aesthetic. Like the building they had found earlier, the remnants of decorations were between Mesoamerican and Greek in character, two cultures that had never interacted as far as history books had let Alex know. History books had also never mentioned that magic was real, so he took such gaps in stride.

After some digging, he found a door. It was small in the same way that entrances in old European buildings often were small. Whoever had lived here before had been shorter on average, although not so short that Alex would assume he was dealing with dwarves. The inside of the building appeared, at first glance, to have been spared by the burial. It smelled… neutral. The long trapped air was not overly stagnant, nor was there an obvious note of rot.

“Maybe the town was covered in purpose to preserve it?” he theorized.

“Better question: do we go inside?” Astrid asked. “Do you feel the urge to touch something?”

Alex chuckled and gave her ass a swat. His earth-covered fingers left deep brown marks. “Now that I have touched what I needed to touch… let me think about the actual answer to that question.”

It's a Dungeon! First one of this Quest. You may want to bring some time if you wish to explore it, as it will have multiple floors/rooms and challenges.

[I'll cover the exact Dungeon rules when we explore it, as I want to try some new stuff there. More on that on Day 10, probably.]

It only took a few moments peering into the mysterious darkness for Alex to come to a decision.

“We don’t have the time to explore a whole buried town today. We’ll come back another time.” With that, he picked up his sword again and backed away slowly. He wasn’t sure something was going to come out and attack them until they were a good ways away. ‘Now, what direction do we take from here?’ he thought. There were two routes to take him home.

[Alright, so, as far as I can see there will be no more rolls this day, BUT you STILL have the 69 that Astrid rolled in her Weyrd Perk. Just letting it fall to the wayside feels incorrect, but forcing it in here at the end, when we are about to have the end of day orgy, also feels a tad out of place.

So I offer you options on what to do with it.]

He decided to take the western one, just because he hadn’t been there yet. It turned out to be a safe and simple trek, which made it the ideal time for some relaxed, end of day banter.

“Can I try something?” Alex asked.

“No, we will not do jog-fuck anal,” Jane stated drily.

“Speak for yourse- No, wait, I actually wouldn’t wanna do anal like that either,” Astrid started and then stopped contemplatively. “Not even sure if anal would be a good idea… I got no experience with it.”

“I think it would be a great idea!” Amethyst stated.

“You’re slime, your circumstances are different,” Jane pointed out the obvious.

“Tomboy slime supremacy?” the purple woman suggested with a careful smile.

“No need to narrow it down like that. Tomboy supremacy is the way,” Alex stated with conviction. He had thought this before he had gotten himself this harem and he was now utterly convinced of it. Tomboys were the best. There was no competition. “Anyway, I wanted to see if I could carry all three of you at the same time.”

“That sounds hilarious! I call dibs on the head!” Astrid declared.

Jane pinched the bridge of her nose.

Jane also did not resist whatsoever when it came time for her to be lifted up.

They had stopped in the middle of nowhere. It was swiftly growing darker now, but they could already see the tree in the distance. Taking a moment for this experiment did not matter, just as it did not matter that Alex had to leave the sword behind to do so. He could call it to his side later.

Astrid had the safe position in the middle. The legs of the runner were around his neck. They were sticky with sweat from a day spent out in the sun. Hot as she was, in all senses of the word, and aroused, the sweat had a note of sweet pheromones under the usual scent. As a woman of hygiene and good genetics, Astrid smelled nice even now. If the sweat had gone cold, that could have been a different story. They would be in the bath long before that happened.

It would have been pretty easy, Alex reckoned, to carry Jane and Amethyst under his arms. An unworthy way to transport them. Since he was blessed with such broad shoulders, he decided to make use of them. He had to squat down so the two could take their seat. Once they had placed their soft bottoms on his shoulders/biceps, he had carefully risen to his feet. They held onto his raised arms.

“God, this is high up,” Astrid laughed.

“Master’s balance is impeccable,” Amethyst swooned.

“...Got to give it to you, Alex, this is pretty impressive.”

Alex would have turned his head to smirk at Jane, but he was currently preoccupied with keeping his balance. He was finding out what it must have felt like to be a war elephant and unlike those mighty beasts, he was bipedal. Keeping his balance was genuinely harder than dealing with the extra weight. Step by step, his confidence grew.

“I prefer the other way of riding you,” Jane joked in her stoic tone, “but this is entertaining.”

“We’re like five metres up!” Astrid declared.

“Three, maybe four, he isn’t that enormous,” Jane corrected.

“Ya gotta work on your sense of mystery.”

“And you got to work on your sense of accuracy.”

“How is this for accuracy? I spy with my little eye, something beginning with G?”

“Seriously?” Jane drawled.

“Ah, a spotting game.” Amethyst shifted slightly on her Master’s brawny arm. “Is it grass?”

“Yup!” Astrid answered chirpily. “Your turn.”

“I spy with my little eye, something beginning with… M.”

“Is it Master?” Astrid asked.

“Nope!” The slime tomboy grinned. “Your turn, Jane.”

“This is stupid.” The redhead paused for half a second. “Mongrel.”

“...Correct,” Amethyst admitted. Silence. “It is your turn.”

Jane sighed. “I spy with my little eye… something beginning with E.”

“E?” Astrid sounded confused and craned her neck. “Eldritch servant?”

“No.”

“Bah, shot in the dark. I don’t know what your elven eyes see.”

Jane focused at a point in the distance. “I think I see one of them… but no. Keep this stupid game going or surrender. I win either way.”

“So confident,” Amethyst purred. “Everything?”

“No.”

“Eagle?” Astrid asked.

“No.”

“Earth.”

“Egg”

“Eyes”

“Ears.”

“Elbow.”

“Elf.”

“No,” Jane denied them all and kept doing so for as long as they were on the proverbial road. Only once they were by the tree and Alex put them all down, did she reveal the answer. “Escape,” she stated and headed for the entrance into the tree.

“That’s not fair!” Astrid complained.

“Can you stop having eventful days?” Kiara asked. “Seriously, what is it with you going out and coming back with half a book’s worth of stories?”

“And odd items,” Tess added, gesturing at the gauntlet on the table. Astrid had diligently held onto it for the entire day, just as Jane had held onto her bow right up until they had all come together. As that was her private possession, she had deposited it in what was her room in the expanded facilities of the Tree of Harem Life. The gauntlet was a different manner.

One that he did not care to resolve this evening.

“I think the two things we should focus on are the following,” Alex spoke up. “First, we have found definitive proof that there was a civilization here at some point and that it has been gone for a long, long time. Second, there might be a way to circumvent the breeding ban without killing the Death Willow.”

“Which we still aim to do, right?” Janette wanted to know. The dryad had an instinctive disdain for the creature of dead wood, just from the description and the sight of the skull that they had brought back. To be fair, no one in the room liked what the Death Willow was. They did not need a further excuse to hate a creature that denied births outright. It was, by its nature, evil.

“Probably,” Alex confirmed with a strong nod. “Unless we find out it’s either impossible for us or we get context that changes things.”

An understandable caveat, to which Janette nodded. Matters shifted quickly from there to the regular evening banter about this and that, while they shared the last meal of the day. The lovecraftian blobs crawled and rolled around, bringing them all whatever they could.

Inevitably, Alex’s desires manifested. His cock rose to attention. There was not a single pair of trousers on the entire island and so his erection was followed in its prominent rise by all of his harem in the room. It was a signal their bodies instinctively understood. Without a single order spoken, the mood reflected on their faces shifted from casual banter to willing enslavement.

It was time to wrap this day up like they usually did.

[Alrighty, only Tess remains from the previous cycle of orgy focus, so she gets the auto-focus here.

I'm changing things slightly in that I will now roll first in how many girls get the focus in an orgy. This is just to make sure things aren't too formulaic. I'll roll 1d4+1, so it's always at least 2.]
