Chapter 230: Queen!
Her features were stunningly cold and beautiful. She had a delicate jaw, skin as white as snow, and a pair of noble, indifferent phoenix eyes. Her red lips were incredibly alluring, yet so razor-thin they made her look utterly merciless. Her eyes were especially striking—long and narrow, radiating a frigid beauty from within their allure.
The moment she appeared, the entire bar fell silent. All eyes were drawn to the woman in the wine-red dress and high heels, her long, wavy hair cascading down her back. She stood on the second floor like a queen, surveying the crowd below.
Yang Sixue's face turned deathly pale. Others might not know her, but I've heard the stories. She was known as the Blood Rose. Anyone who caused trouble in her bar was thrown into the sea to feed the fish. No exceptions. No one knew who her backer was, but everyone knew it was some terrifyingly powerful figure.
We're done for... We're really done for... Yang Sixue's face turned a ghastly white, and her entire body began to tremble.
Beside her, Lin Qingyun frowned. "Sixue, who is this owner?"
"I don't know the details," Yang Sixue whispered, "I just know... anyone who makes trouble here dies."
"What?!" Lin Qingyun swayed and nearly lost her footing, her face filled with raw panic.
Just then, the woman in the red dress on the floor above shifted her gaze, her eyes finally landing on Zhao Dong.
Zhao Dong tilted his head back, squinting as he met her stare.
The instant their eyes locked, a jolt went through him. This woman is no simple character. That gaze alone... it's incredibly sharp. It's not something an ordinary person could have. It's even more piercing and bloodthirsty than Xu Yafei's. This can only mean her methods are exceptionally ruthless!
Zhao Dong narrowed his eyes but didn't look away, holding her gaze for a full ten seconds. The woman's cold eyes slowly narrowed into blades, and her voice, as crisp and cold as a mountain spring, rang out. "Are you the one causing trouble here?"
Zhao Dong squinted. "I am. What about it?"
"You're the first person who's ever dared to speak to me like that." The woman's gaze, sharp as a blade, swept over Zhao Dong from head to toe before she spoke slowly, "Men. Chop him up and throw him in the sea."
The moment she spoke, a group of bodyguards in black, armed with machetes, burst out from the private booths on either side of the bar and from the second floor. They immediately surrounded Zhao Dong, their faces etched with cold, murderous intent. The bar became deathly still, everyone too terrified to even breathe.
Huo Shan forced himself to lift his head and look up at the woman. Spitting out a mouthful of blood, he said pitifully, "Sister Qiu Lan... you have to get justice for me! This bastard beat me and my brothers. You have to chop him into a million pieces!"
The woman's gaze slowly shifted to him. Seeing it was Huo Shan, her brows furrowed slightly. "What are you all doing here?"
Huo Shan shuddered. "Sister Qiu Lan, we're the victims! Look at us, look at how badly he beat us! He's the one who was causing trouble! You have to stand up for us!"
"A bunch of trash," the woman sneered. "So many of you couldn't even handle one man. You trash should be thrown into the sea as well."
Huo Shan immediately dropped to his knees, trembling with fear. "Sister Qiu Lan, please, spare us..."
The woman gave him a cold glance. "Get up."
As if granted a pardon, Huo Shan scrambled to his feet. He shot Zhao Dong a sinister smile and hissed, "Kid, you're fucking dead!"
Not far away, Ning Zifeng watched the scene with narrowed eyes. Things have escalated far beyond my control. My original plan was for Huo Shan to give Zhao Dong a brutal beating. Then, as Huo Shan continued to press the issue, I would step in, pretending to be a mediator and forcing Zhao Dong to kneel and apologize. That way, Zhao Dong would not only be beaten, satisfying my anger, but would also be utterly humiliated in front of Lin Qingyun. I never imagined that Zhao Dong would single-handedly defeat Huo Shan and all his men. Now that the situation has deviated from my plan, it isn't the right time for me to intervene. Since Zhao Dong has managed to offend the owner, his death would be a welcome outcome. It would clear the way for me to pursue Lin Qingyun properly. At this thought, Ning Zifeng took a sip of his wine, watching the unfolding drama with keen interest.
As the thugs with machetes closed in, Lin Qingyun and Yang Sixue's faces grew pale. Yet, neither of them made a move to leave, remaining firmly at Zhao Dong's side.
Finally, Lin Qingyun bit her lip and spoke, her face ashen, "Miss... Zhao Dong is my husband. He drank too much today and meant no offense. How about this... I'll pay for the damages. We're willing to pay five, even ten times the cost. What do you say?"
The woman on the second floor looked down at her and said indifferently, "Do you think I need your money?"
Lin Qingyun gritted her teeth. "Miss, I am Lin Qingyun, the CEO of the Lin Corporation. Please, do me this favor."
"The Lin Corporation?" The woman's brows twitched, her eyes fixing on Lin Qingyun. "You're the CEO of the Lin Corporation?"
Lin Qingyun nodded, breathing a small, internal sigh of relief. "Yes, miss. I'm truly sorry about today. My husband really had a bit too much to drink... He didn't mean to offend you. Please, don't hold it against him."
A faint smile appeared on the woman's face, but her voice turned to ice in the next second. "Your Lin Corporation is indeed powerful, but... the legitimate world and the underworld don't mix. Your corporation can't interfere with me, and the rules of this bar will not be broken. This man... must die!"
Lin Qingyun's vision went dark as despair flooded her heart. She hadn't expected that even revealing her identity would be useless. She had no idea what to do.
Zhao Dong, however, just smiled and gave Lin Qingyun's waist a gentle squeeze. "Honey, this has nothing to do with you or your friend. Stand aside and let me handle this."
"No! Zhao Dong... are you insane? They all have machetes! You'll be killed!"
"By them?" Zhao Dong scoffed and playfully pinched her nose. "Be good and listen. If you don't, you're getting a spanking when we get home tonight."
Lin Qingyun's face flushed crimson with a mixture of shame and anger. Even at a time like this, he was still joking!
While she was still in a daze, Zhao Dong moved. He was like a cheetah, impossibly fast. Before anyone could react, he had vaulted onto a booth, leaped across to the staircase, and stormed up to the second floor in a few quick strides.
The next second, everyone was frozen in shock.
Zhao Dong had the woman by the neck.
It had all happened in a matter of seconds. The entire bar was eerily silent. No one had seen it coming.
Zhao Dong stretched lazily, his arm hooked around the woman's neck. He smiled and said, "Now, now, beautiful. You'd better not try anything funny. I'm afraid I might... accidentally kill you."
The woman's body trembled slightly, her expression turning grim. "Do you... have any idea what the consequences are for touching me?"
"Nope. Why don't you enlighten me?"
"Do you know who's backing me?"
"Oh? Now I'm even more curious. Go on, tell me," Zhao Dong said, completely unfazed.
The woman gritted her teeth in fury and began to speak, enunciating each word.
