Chapter 95: Cheng Haoyuan is up to something!
At this moment, inside Yang Sixue's villa, she had locked herself in her bedroom, her body pressed desperately against the door. Terror was etched on her face.
It was already evening. She had just been showering in the en-suite bathroom when she heard the faint sound of footsteps. The sound terrified her; she was supposed to be the only one home. Recalling the bugging devices she'd found earlier, her face went pale as she realized someone must have broken in.
She had rushed out of the bathroom just in time to lock the bedroom door. In that split second before the bolt slid home, she saw a figure on the other side. It was a man. Her heart hammered against her ribs, threatening to leap out of her throat. Bracing herself against the wood, she yelled with a voice laced with both shock and anger, "Who are you? Why are you in my house?"
A cold male voice answered from outside, "Open the door now, or I'll force my way in!"
Tears of fear welled in Yang Sixue's eyes. As a woman living alone, how could she not be terrified in a situation like this? Her first instinct was to call the police, but she immediately thought of the consequences. Her public profile was too sensitive, and she knew countless eyes were on her. If the police came and took her to the station, the media would have a field day with baseless rumors, and her career would be over. The thought of the scandals they would invent was unbearable. With no other choice, she could only call Zhao Dong.
The knocking began again, each strike making her tremble with greater fear. Clutching her chest, she fought to calm herself, her voice shaking as she tried to sound brave. "I don't care who you are, leave my house immediately! If you don't go, don't blame me for calling the police!"
"Heh... You dare call the police on me? Your reputation would be ruined. Besides, don't you want to know who I am? Are you so sure the cops will believe I broke in? Just open the door!"
The man outside was clearly growing impatient. A heavy thud shook the door as he started kicking it. Yang Sixue threw all her weight against it, her eyes filling with helplessness and despair. Why isn't Zhao Dong here yet? How much longer can I hold on?
Suddenly, the sounds from outside stopped. Yang Sixue held her breath, a flicker of hope rising. Did he leave?
Just as she was about to exhale in relief, a tremendous force slammed into the door.
The lock was kicked open with a sickening crunch, and a figure burst into the room.
Yang Sixue screamed, instinctively trying to back away, but the intruder lunged forward, grabbing a handful of her hair and yanking her face close to his. When she saw who it was, she froze in shock.
"Cheng Haoyuan? How can it be you?"
Anger and astonishment warred in her eyes. She couldn't believe that after the lesson Zhao Dong had taught him, Cheng Haoyuan would have the gall to come back and bother her again. Even more shocking was his sheer audacity—breaking into her villa to try and force himself on her.
"Cheng Haoyuan, you bastard!" she shrieked, struggling against his grip. "Who let you in? Get out!"
A sinister smile twisted Cheng Haoyuan's lips. He looked like a completely different person from just a few days ago. Back then, he had been full of swagger, the very picture of a successful young man. Now, his face was covered in stubble, his hair was greasy, and his whole appearance was disheveled. The smile on his face was dark and menacing.
His hand shot out, clamping around her throat. His eyes were bloodshot with venom. "Yang Sixue, you bitch. Did you really think I wouldn't come back for you after you had someone teach me a lesson?"
Pain flared in her neck as he squeezed. She gasped for air, choking out, "Let go of me! You bastard! Just stop harassing me, please!"
"No! You've ruined me! My future, my life, my woman—you destroyed it all! I'm a worthless wreck now, and it's all because of you!"
"Don't you dare blame me for your failures! You're an animal, a monster! My only regret is that I was ever blind enough to like you. The thought of it makes me sick!"
Enraged and humiliated, Cheng Haoyuan slapped her hard across the face. A bright red handprint bloomed on her pale cheek. A trickle of blood oozed from the corner of her lip. Yang Sixue stared at him, her eyes blazing with hatred. "You bastard... You dare hit me!"
"So what if I hit a bitch like you? We dated for a year, and you wouldn't even sleep with me. You looked down on me, didn't you? The moment we broke up, you found another man. He's already fucked you, hasn't he? You filthy whore! Disgusting!"
Tears streamed down her face, but her tone was pure sarcasm. "Yes, you're right. I did sleep with him. What are you going to do about it? I'm just lucky I didn't waste my first time on a disgusting piece of trash like you. I do look down on you. You revolt me!"
A crazed look washed over Cheng Haoyuan's face, his features twisting into a grotesque mask. He tightened his grip on her neck. "Fine. You've already destroyed me, so I don't plan on living anyway. But you're not going to live either! I'm killing myself tonight, and I'm taking you with me. But before I do, I'm going to fuck you hard, just once!"
With that, he threw her onto the large bed and descended on her like a starving wolf, frantically tearing at her clothes.
Having just come from her bath, Yang Sixue was only wearing a thin nightgown. With a single vicious tug, Cheng Haoyuan ripped it away, exposing her completely. Powerless to fight back, all she could do was try to cover her private areas as a large expanse of her fair skin was laid bare before him. Staring at her body, his lust flared. Her skin was like flawless white jade. He swallowed hard and began to kiss her frantically.
Silent tears streamed down Yang Sixue's cheeks as she resisted with what little strength she had left, biting her lip so hard it bled. "Cheng Haoyuan, you animal! I hate you!" Her tears fell freely as an overwhelming wave of despair crashed over her. It seemed there was truly no escape tonight.
Cheng Haoyuan's hand moved toward her most intimate place, a savage glint in his eyes. "Sixue, you're mine! In life, you are my woman, and in death, you will be my ghost!"
He attacked like a ravenous wolf while Yang Sixue fought back desperately. But her strength was fading. Soon, she had nothing left. In the next second, she would be violated.
Just then, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from outside!
"BASTARD, I'LL KILL YOU!"
A roar erupted from the doorway. The next second, a figure shot into the room like a bolt of lightning and delivered a brutal kick to Cheng Haoyuan's side.
His back buckled with a sickening CRACK, and he was sent flying off of Yang Sixue.
"Zhao Dong!"
It was him. Seeing Zhao Dong, the despair in Yang Sixue's heart instantly vanished, replaced by a flood of relief as tears flowed freely. At that moment, he was her savior.
Zhao Dong took in the scene on the bed and sucked in a sharp breath, quickly shutting his eyes. Cheng Haoyuan was still clutching her torn nightgown when the kick connected. The force sent him flying, and in the process, he ripped away the last scrap of fabric covering her. As a result, Zhao Dong saw everything with crystal clarity.
Seeing him close his eyes, Yang Sixue finally reacted. "Don't look!" she cried out in shame and anger, scrambling to pull the quilt over herself. "Okay," she finally managed to say.
Zhao Dong opened his eyes and looked at the small head peeking out from the blankets. "Did I get here in time?"
With tears still glistening in her eyes, she said, "One second later and it would have been too late. I would have been... gone."
Zhao Dong's gaze fell to Cheng Haoyuan, who was crumpled on the floor. Murderous intent flared in his eyes. He despised such beastly behavior, especially since he had already warned the man once.
Without another word, he strode forward, seized Cheng Haoyuan by the throat, and hauled him to his feet. His gaze was as sharp and cold as a blade. "You animal. How do you want to die?"
Cheng Haoyuan trembled, looking at Zhao Dong with pure terror. "Zhao Dong, you... you can't touch me! I know you know Zhang Wei, but... but I have connections too!"
Zhao Dong sneered. "Your connections?"
"My backer... it's Hong Wu! My uncle is Little Six Fortune! You've heard of him, right? He's one of Hong Wu's men! If you touch me, you're making an enemy of my uncle, and he'll kill you!"
"Little Six Fortune?"
A cold light flashed in Zhao Dong's eyes. He remembered the day he'd gone to buy medicinal herbs and had been humiliated in an alley by this very same Little Six Fortune. The man had pinned him to the ground with a foot on his neck, capable of ending his life in an instant. Zhao Dong could never forget that humiliation. Back then, he had been no match for Little Six Fortune, just someone to be ruthlessly crushed. But things were different now. He was no longer the same Zhao Dong.
He looked back at Cheng Haoyuan with a mocking smile. "Guess what I'm going to do to you."
Cheng Haoyuan stared back, realization dawning on his face. He screamed in terror, "Don't!"
But it was too late. Zhao Dong had already made his move.
