Chapter 85: Beat Pan Wu!
Deng Yun's clothes had been nearly torn to shreds by Pan Wu, revealing her snow-white skin.
Pan Wu was gripping Deng Yun's throat tightly, his body already pressing down on her. In the next second, something irreversible was about to happen.
Zhao Qirou let out a scream and, without a second thought, lunged forward and started tearing at Pan Wu.
Pan Wu hadn't expected someone to intervene at such a critical moment. In his current position, he was completely unstable, and Zhao Qirou managed to push him to the ground with a single shove.
"Motherfucker! Who the hell are you, you stinking bitch? Are you looking for death?!"
Embarrassed and enraged, Pan Wu's eyes turned bloodshot as he swung his hand and slapped Zhao Qirou hard across the face.
Zhao Qirou was sent sprawling to the ground from the force of the slap, a glaring red handprint blooming on her cheek.
"Qirou, are you okay? Go get help! Quick!" Deng Yun cried out. Pinned down by Pan Wu, she couldn't escape and could only urge Zhao Qirou to find help.
Realizing the urgency, Zhao Qirou scrambled to her feet and ran out of the restroom. Spotting Zhao Dong not far away, she called out, "Brother! Something's happened, come quick!"
Zhao Dong had been glancing toward the restroom, already sensing that something was wrong. When he saw Zhao Qirou, his heart sank, and he rose to his feet and strode over without hesitation.
As soon as he reached the restroom entrance, Zhao Dong saw the handprint on Zhao Qirou's face and gasped.
"Qirou, what happened to your face?"
Covering her cheek, Zhao Qirou said tearfully, "Brother, I'm fine! You have to go in and help Deng Yun! Some bastard is trying to assault her!"
Zhao Dong didn't waste time thinking. Hearing Deng Yun's cries from inside, he burst into the women's restroom. He immediately saw Pan Wu pinning Deng Yun to the floor, already in the middle of his vile act. He had even pulled out his thing.
Deng Yun was on the verge of being violated.
Without a second thought, Zhao Dong charged forward and kicked Pan Wu square in the back.
Pan Wu flew forward as if hit by a truck, crashing hard into the wall. The impact was so great it left a dent in the wall. Pan Wu spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed to the ground like a dead dog.
Zhao Dong quickly helped Deng Yun up. Seeing her nearly shredded clothes, he clenched his jaw, took off his jacket, and draped it over her shoulders.
Deng Yun, finally coming to her senses, saw that Zhao Dong was her rescuer. The sight of the jacket he placed over her broke the last of her composure, and tears streamed down her face.
She threw her arms around Zhao Dong and sobbed, "Brother Zhao Dong, thank you… If it weren't for you, that bastard would have…" Her words trailed off, lost in a fit of sobs.
Zhao Dong gently patted her back. "Don't be afraid," he said comfortingly. "It's over now. Don't worry, I'll teach this bastard a lesson for both of you."
On the ground, Pan Wu was a mess of bruises and cuts. Zhao Dong's kick felt like it had shattered every bone in his body. If Zhao Dong hadn't held back, that single kick could have killed him.
Struggling to raise his head, Pan Wu glared at Zhao Dong with pure venom. "You... you bastard! Do you know who I am? How dare you hit me?"
Zhao Dong turned to face him, and a single look was enough to terrify Pan Wu. He had never seen such a piercing gaze before. It was like the edge of a blade; a single glance felt like a thousand daggers to the heart.
Before Pan Wu could react, Zhao Dong closed the distance in a few long strides, grabbed him by the collar without a word, and began slapping him across the face repeatedly.
Pan Wu couldn't withstand the assault, screaming as his face swelled up like a pig's head. A spray of blood and shattered teeth flew from his mouth.
Only then did Zhao Dong stop, speaking coolly, "You were acting so tough. Come on, tell me who you are."
Sputtering blood, Pan Wu was on the verge of death. He managed to part his lips. "I... I'm Pan Wu. My dad is... Pan Longxiao. You... you hit me... you're a dead man."
Zhao Dong frowned and turned to Zhao Qirou and Deng Yun. "Pan Longxiao? Have you heard of him?"
Deng Yun's expression changed. "Brother Zhao Dong, Pan Longxiao is a big shot in the East Sea underworld. He used to be involved in organized crime, and now he's apparently in the earth-moving business."
With blood trickling from his nose and mouth, Pan Wu managed a ghastly smile. "Looks like you know my dad. Let me tell you, you're all finished today. If you're smart, you'll let me go."
Zhao Dong glanced at him. "Let you go? You must be dreaming."
Pan Wu's pupils shrank. "You bastard, are you trying to die? You know who my dad is, and you still dare to be so arrogant?"
"I'm teaching a lesson to a piece of trash like you on your father's behalf," Zhao Dong said coldly. "Coming to a bar to drink is one thing. If you had tried to pursue Deng Yun through proper means, I might have even respected you. But to pull a stunt like this... you're the lowest form of scum."
With that, Zhao Dong kicked Pan Wu out of the restroom. His body flew like a rubber ball and landed at the entrance, immediately attracting a crowd.
Pan Wu's lackeys happened to see this. They all gasped and rushed over to help him up.
"Young Master Pan, are you okay?"
"Young Master Pan, should we take you to the hospital?"
Enraged, Pan Wu's words came out in a lisp through his broken teeth. "Fuck you! Where were you when I needed you? I got my ass kicked, so what are you going to do about it, huh?"
The men looked at Zhao Dong. His menacing gaze made them shudder with fear. They were just hangers-on with no power or influence of their own; why would they dare to cause trouble? Besides, even Pan Wu had been beaten this badly. If they stepped in, they'd probably be crippled.
At that thought, they lowered their heads, unable to meet Zhao Dong's eyes.
Zhao Dong sneered. "A bunch of cowards. If you don't have the guts, then get lost. Take your pathetic master to the hospital."
The men hurried to help Pan Wu leave, but just then, he stared at Zhao Dong with a chilling glare. "I'll remember you," he said venomously. "If I can't find you, I can find your sister and Deng Yun. I will make you pay."
Zhao Dong, who had been about to turn away, froze. A terrifying killing intent exploded from his eyes. He turned back to Pan Wu. In that instant, Pan Wu felt his breath catch in his throat, as if he'd been plunged into a bottomless abyss. The color drained from his face.
"I was just going to teach you a lesson and leave it at that," Zhao Dong said, his voice ice-cold as he advanced on Pan Wu. "But since you said that, you're not leaving today."
Pan Wu shrieked in terror. "You... stay away from me! I'm telling you, my father is Pan Longxiao! My family… we even know experts of Inner Strength! If you touch me, there will be no place for you in East Sea City!"
"Is that so? Well, today, I'm touching you."
Zhao Dong closed the distance in two quick steps. Before anyone could see what happened, his hand clamped down on Pan Wu's wrist. He infused Spiritual Energy into his fingers and squeezed.
SPLAT!
A mess of flesh and blood exploded. Pan Wu's right hand was crushed into a mangled pulp of shattered bone and torn tissue.
Then, Zhao Dong kicked him hard in the right leg.
CRACK!
His leg snapped clean in two.
"AHHHH!!!"
Pan Wu let out an ear-piercing, bloodcurdling scream before his eyes rolled back and he passed out from the pain.
His lackeys were completely frozen, shaking uncontrollably in fear.
Zhao Dong waved a dismissive hand. "Alright, you can scram now."
Hearing this, the men didn't dare linger. They scrambled away in a panic, dragging the unconscious Pan Wu with them.
Once Pan Wu's group was gone, Deng Yun and Zhao Qirou had no desire to keep drinking. They left the bar with Zhao Dong.
Deng Yun looked at Zhao Dong, her face still streaked with tears and her eyes red. "Brother Zhao Dong, thank you..."
Zhao Dong smiled. "Nothing to thank me for. You're Qirou's best friend, and she's my sister, so of course I had to help. Luckily, we got there in time. If that Pan Wu bothers you again, call me."
With red-rimmed eyes, Deng Yun nodded. "I will, Brother Zhao Dong. You're so kind."
"Alright," Zhao Dong said with a smile, "it's getting late. You should go home and get some rest."
Deng Yun nodded vigorously. "Brother Zhao Dong," she added, "can I borrow your jacket for now? I'll wash it and return it to you."
"Of course. I'm in no hurry."
Deng Yun gave him a grateful look, then said goodbye to Zhao Qirou and left.
Now, only Zhao Dong and Zhao Qirou were left on the street. Zhao Qirou naturally linked her arm with his, smiling sweetly. "Bro, I missed you. I haven't seen you in days."
Zhao Dong stroked her head. "Why didn't you tell me you were discharged from the hospital?"
Zhao Qirou pouted. "I was afraid you were busy. Besides, I'm fine, really. You don't need to worry about me."
Zhao Dong gently pinched her cheek and chuckled. "Silly girl. You're my sister; you don't have to be so formal with me. Come on, I'll take you home."
Suddenly, Zhao Qirou's face turned beet red. Tugging on his arm, she spoke in a voice as faint as a whisper, "Bro… I… I don't want to go home tonight. Can you take me to a hotel? I… I want to sleep with you tonight."
Zhao Dong was stunned. "What did you say?"
