Chapter 37: Zhou Yu Died
Zhao Dong looked up. Before him stood a man in a black, tight-fitting vest. His face was brutish and fleshy, and his muscles bulged like small hills.
Zhao Dong raised an eyebrow. He could tell at a glance that this man was a formidable fighter, at least on par with a special forces soldier.
"I asked you a question! What are you doing here?" the man in black demanded impatiently.
Zhao Dong smiled. "Buddy, I'm here to see someone."
"Who?"
"Zhang Ze."
"You're looking for the Young Master?"
The large man frowned, scrutinizing Zhao Dong before pulling out his phone. "Wait a minute. I'll call the Young Master."
Just as he raised the phone, Zhao Dong's figure flashed, appearing instantly before the man. He threw a single punch straight into his chest.
The man was sent flying, crashing to the ground. His eyes rolled back and he lost consciousness.
Zhao Dong clicked his tongue. He could clearly feel that his strength had greatly increased. Back when he was in the army, his punches had a force of about one hundred and twenty kilograms. But now, he silently estimated that a single punch could kill a bull. It likely had a force of seven or eight hundred kilograms.
The nourishing effects of nature's spiritual energy on the body were truly terrifying. Keep in mind that even the boxing champion Mike Tyson's punch was only about two hundred and fifty kilograms of force. His current punching power was far beyond Tyson's.
Zhao Dong clenched his fists, a sharp light glinting in his eyes as he darted into the villa. He crouched low, slipping through the bushes and stealthily approaching the mansion via a small path.
Inside a room on the villa's second floor, the bed frame creaked and groaned.
Zhou Yu and Zhang Ze were engaged in pleasurable activities. Soon, Zhou Yu lay limply on the bed, her face flushed as she looked weakly at Zhang Ze. "Master Zhang, are you satisfied?"
Zhang Ze stuck a cigarette between his teeth and grinned. "Not bad. Models really are something else!"
Zhou Yu pouted, snuggling into Zhang Ze's embrace and cooing, "Master Zhang, I've given my body to you. You can't just dump me, okay~"
A smile remained on Zhang Ze's face, but inwardly he cursed. Damn bitch. Am I supposed to marry her instead of dumping her?
"Heh heh, don't worry. You're my treasure. How could I ever dump you?"
Pleased, Zhou Yu nodded, then asked cautiously, "Master Zhang, the Zhao Qirou matter... there won't be any problems, right? I was the one who poisoned her, after all. I'm afraid..."
"There's no need to be afraid. An average hospital can't detect that poison. And taking a step back, even if it were detected, it wouldn't matter. My Zhang Family is one of the Four Great Families; we can make this go away!"
Zhou Yu breathed a sigh of relief. "With you saying that, Master Zhang, I feel much better. But that cousin of hers, Zhao Dong... he's a soldier. He won't keep pestering us, will he?"
Zhang Ze snorted in disdain. "He's just some worthless soldier. I can have someone crush him with a snap of my fingers. What does he have to fight me with?"
Just then, Zhang Ze's ears twitched. He thought he heard a noise from outside. He frowned, listening intently, but there was only silence.
"What's wrong, Master Zhang?"
"I thought I heard something. You don't think someone broke in, do you?" Zhang Ze felt an inexplicable unease.
Zhou Yu scoffed. "You're probably just on edge! How could anyone break in? Don't you have a dozen bodyguards?"
Zhang Ze chuckled. "That's right. Not even a mosquito could fly in here!"
The words had barely left his mouth when the door to the room was blasted open with a tremendous crash.
"Not even a mosquito can get in? Aren't you two a little overconfident?"
Zhang Ze and Zhou Yu's pupils contracted. When they saw the intruder was Zhao Dong, Zhou Yu shrieked and rolled right off the bed.
Wrapped in a bedsheet, Zhang Ze's face was a mask of shock and anger. "Zhao Dong, how the hell did you get in? You dare to break into my villa? Are you looking to die?"
Zhang Ze frantically pressed the alarm button on the nightstand, but though it rang and rang, no one came.
Zhao Dong spoke calmly, "Don't bother. No one is coming."
Zhang Ze's face turned deathly pale, his eyes filling with terror. "You... what did you do to them?"
Zhao Dong shook his head. "You talk too much. Do you know why I'm here?"
"I... I don't know!"
"You don't know?!"
Zhao Dong's gaze turned ice-cold, piercing Zhang Ze's heart like an icy blade. "I'll give you one last chance. Tell me the truth: who poisoned my sister, Zhao Qirou?"
Zhang Ze was petrified. It was the gaze of a man who had killed before—bloody, dark, sinister, and ice-cold.
He pointed a trembling finger at Zhou Yu and screamed, "It... it wasn't me! It was Zhou Yu who did the poisoning! It has nothing to do with me!"
Zhou Yu was also scared witless. Hearing Zhang Ze's words, she snapped back furiously, "Zhang Ze, stop spewing bullshit! It was your idea!"
"I just mentioned it in passing! Who the fuck knew you'd actually poison someone? Zhao... Zhao Dong, this was all her doing! It's not my fault!"
Zhao Dong's pale, cold gaze shifted to Zhou Yu. She shivered violently as terrified tears streamed down her face. The fact that Zhao Dong had dealt with a dozen bodyguards was proof enough of how serious the situation was. Even a fool like Zhou Yu could understand just how terrifying Zhao Dong was.
She burst into tears. "Zhao Dong, I was the one who poisoned her, but... but it really was Zhang Ze's idea! Go after him!"
Zhao Dong sneered. "The dogs have started biting each other, have they? You poisoned my sister, and you pushed her from the building this morning. That was you too, wasn't it?"
Zhou Yu's face turned ashen with fright. "I... I didn't mean to! Please, spare me! Spare me!"
Zhao Dong shook his head and took a step forward, appearing before Zhou Yu in a flash.
A chill ran down Zhou Yu's neck as Zhao Dong's hand closed around it, lifting her clean off the ground. His eyes were cold, devoid of all emotion. "You pushed my sister from a building and tried to poison her to silence her. Do you really think you're going to live through today?"
Zhou Yu struggled, her face turning a deep purplish-red as she begged for her life. "Zhao Dong, I was wrong... I'm begging you, spare me... I don't want to die..."
Zhao Dong shook his head. "You can beg for mercy in hell!"
His eyes turned impossibly cold. With a slight squeeze of his wrist, there was a sickening CRACK.
Zhou Yu's neck broke. Her eyes went vacant. A trickle of blood seeped from the corner of her mouth as she stopped breathing.
Zhang Ze watched, utterly stupefied. He never imagined Zhao Dong would actually dare to kill someone. Without a second thought, he dropped to his knees and began kowtowing frantically to Zhao Dong, crying and pleading, "Brother Zhao, I didn't tell her to poison anyone! I just mentioned it in passing! She was the one who poisoned your sister! She was the one who pushed her! You can't blame me!"
Zhao Dong squinted, a playful look in his eyes. "You saw me kill someone. Do you think I'd let you go?"
Zhang Ze immediately started wailing, "I swear! I swear! If I tell anyone, may I be struck by lightning, and may my entire Zhang family die a horrible death!"
Without another word, Zhao Dong walked over and placed his hand on top of Zhang Ze's head.
Zhang Ze's body suddenly convulsed, and then he fell silent, a foolish grin spreading across his face.
Zhao Dong glanced at him. "I'll spare your worthless life. You can live the rest of it as an idiot."
He had used his Spiritual Energy to destroy the nerves in Zhang Ze's brain, turning him into a complete imbecile. After all, Zhang Ze was a scion of the Zhang Family. Killing him would certainly lead to too many complications.
Having finished, Zhao Dong walked out of the villa. The moment he stepped outside, he saw dozens of cars swarming toward the property.
A chill ran down his spine. The Zhang Family was one of the Four Great Families of East Sea, after all. They definitely had experts among their ranks. If he were caught, he was finished.
Without hesitation, Zhao Dong bolted, running in the opposite direction. The occupants of the cars seemed to spot him and immediately gave chase, their vehicles roaring toward him.
As the cars drew closer, Zhao Dong's heart sank. Just then, a motorcycle shot out of an intersection ahead.
"Get on!" a woman's sharp cry rang out. The rider was a woman.
With no time to think, Zhao Dong leaped onto the back seat.
The woman gunned the throttle. The motorcycle's engine roared to life, and they shot forward like a wild, untamed horse.
Zhao Dong instinctively wrapped his arms around the woman's waist. Her body trembled slightly, and a blush rose to her pretty cheeks. Biting her lip, she knew this wasn't the time to worry about that. She pushed the throttle to its limit, reaching a speed of over 130 km/h.
The surrounding traffic seemed to fly backward as the wind blasted Zhao Dong's face, making it hard to keep his eyes open. He clung to the woman for dear life, his hands unconsciously landing on... certain places.
Finally, they shook off the pursuing cars. The motorcycle slowed as they reached a deserted intersection.
Zhao Dong breathed a sigh of relief. He was about to thank her when the woman's voice, tinged with reproach, reached him. "You've been holding on for quite a while. Aren't you going to let go?"
Zhao Dong froze, only now realizing that both his hands were cupping something soft and perky. The sensation of them filling his palms was incredible.
His face flushed red. He quickly pulled his hands away, coughing awkwardly. "A misunderstanding... a complete misunderstanding! By the way, miss, who are you...?"
The woman braked, bringing the motorcycle to a stop. Before Zhao Dong could react, she took off her helmet. Her phoenix eyes held a reproachful look as she stared at him.
Zhao Dong was stunned. "Why is it you?!"
