I Was Kidnapped by a Vampire Queen, and Now the Vampire Born from My Soul Wants to Take Me Back

So… a friend of mine is adapting Vampire Queen into a MANHWA

Well...

I’m not sure when this stopped being a small experiment and started looking like an actual project, but here we are. ( ̄▽ ̄;)ゞ

Recently, a friend of mine offered to try something that had been floating around in my head for quite a while:

adapting Vampire Queen into manhwa format. (☆▽☆)

The original idea was pretty simple.

Make a few scenes.

See how the characters looked.

Find out whether the story worked well in this format.

And that was it. (・_・;)

But then he started sending me the first pages and…

well.

I think this turned out way better than I expected. (⊙_⊙;)

Yes.

That’s Matt.

Yes.

He’s working dressed like that.

And yes.

His level of enthusiasm is exactly the same as it is in the novel. (-_-) zzZ

HAHAHA.

After seeing how these first tests turned out, my friend and I ended up asking ourselves a pretty dangerous question:

What if we keep going? (¬‿¬)

For now, this is still just a test/pilot project.

This doesn’t mean I’m suddenly announcing a full adaptation of the entire novel or anything like that. ( ̄ω ̄;)

Before doing that, I want to know whether there’s actually enough interest from you guys to keep developing it. (•̀ᴗ•́)و

I also want to make something very clear from the beginning:

I’m going to keep writing the novel normally.

(`・ω・´)

The manhwa would be an additional project.

My friend would mainly handle the visual side of the adaptation, while I continue writing new chapters, reviewing scenes, preparing dialogue, and helping make sure everything stays as faithful as possible to the original story. (ง •̀_•́)ง

So I’m not going to abandon the novel just to focus entirely on the manhwa. ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ

The whole idea is to be able to keep both projects going at the same time. (✧ω✧)

The problem is pretty simple:

making a manhwa takes time and a lot of work. (; ̄Д ̄)

These first tests were something my friend offered to work on with me, but obviously, I don’t want to expect him to keep spending hours on the project indefinitely without getting anything in return. (╥﹏╥)

That’s why I’m thinking about creating a way to support the manhwa specifically. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

🩸 Support for the Manhwa Adaptation

My idea would be to create a few optional tiers for anyone who wants to directly help keep the adaptation going. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

The money generated by these tiers would mainly go toward paying my friend for his work on the manhwa, allowing him to spend more time producing new pages and chapters. (ง'̀-'́)ง

Meanwhile, I could continue focusing on writing the novel. (⌐■_■)

None of this would replace the current memberships.

And supporting the manhwa would NOT be required to keep reading the novel. (´• ω •`)

This would simply exist for anyone who wants to say:

“Yes, I want to help keep this adaptation going.” (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Depending on how much support the project gets, we could also gradually increase the release frequency. (☆ω☆)

For now, these are the tiers I’m considering:

🩸 $5 — Founding Manhwa Supporter

This would be the starting tier. (・∀・)

And probably one of the most special ones too, since it would be meant for the people who supported the project from its earliest stages. (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

It would include things like:

  • Exclusive FOUNDING MANHWA SUPPORTER — 2026 illustration or badge.

  • High-resolution version.

  • PC and phone wallpapers.

  • Access to previews of upcoming pages.

  • Updates about the adaptation’s progress.

  • Some extra images and bonus content related to the manhwa.

And, of course, a few years from now you’ll be able to say:

“I was here when this whole thing was just getting started.” (⌐■_■)

That already counts as an achievement unlocked. ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

🦇 $10 — Manhwa Backer

For anyone who wants to support the production a little more directly. (•̀ᴗ•́)و

It would include everything above, plus:

  • Early access to new pages or chapters.

  • Sketches and work-in-progress versions.

  • Comparisons between scenes from the novel and their adapted versions.

  • Exclusive images.

  • Some polls related to illustrations, bonus content, or side scenes.

Basically:

more behind-the-scenes content and early access. (✧▽✧)

📖 $20 — Manhwa Sponsor

Now we’re entering the category of:

“Keep going. I want to see how far this can go.” ( ̄▽ ̄)b

HAHAHA.

It would include everything above, plus:

  • Your name or username in the credits of chapters funded by the community.

  • Access to longer previews.

  • Special extras related to the project.

  • A thank-you section for the people directly helping fund the adaptation.

Appearing in the credits would be completely optional. (。•́‿•̀。)

If someone prefers to support the project anonymously, that would be completely fine too. (⌒‿⌒)

👑 $100 — Royal Manhwa Sponsor

Well.

This tier is for anyone who REALLY wants to give the project a big push. (⊙‿⊙)

It includes everything above, plus:

  • Featured credit as a Royal Manhwa Sponsor.

  • Your name or username highlighted in the acknowledgments.

  • Access to all manhwa-related extras.

  • Occasional special exclusive illustrations.

And probably my permanent question of:

“Is someone really paying $100 just to keep watching Matt suffer?” (°ロ°) !

Respect.

A lot of respect. ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ

HAHAHA.

💰 Monthly Manhwa Goals

Now for the important part. (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑

The amount of support the manhwa receives specifically would determine how much time my friend could dedicate to working on the adaptation. (`・ω・´)

Right now, I’m thinking of something like this:

🩸 $100 per month — THE MANHWA CONTINUES

If we can reach around $100 per month dedicated to the project, we would try to maintain a schedule of:

1 manhwa chapter per week. (ง •̀ω•́)ง✧

The release frequency could vary a little depending on the size of the chapter, the number of scenes, and how much work each release requires. ( ̄▽ ̄;)

But that would be the general goal. (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

🔥 $200 per month — 2 CHAPTERS PER WEEK

If we manage to reach:

$200 per month (⊙ω⊙)

we would try to increase the pace to:

2 manhwa chapters per week. (★ω★)/

My friend working on the adaptation.

Me writing the novel.

And Matt suffering every week in two different formats. (¬‿¬)

Efficiency has reached concerning levels. ( ̄▽ ̄)ゞ

HAHAHA.

👑 $500 per month — ???

At this point, honestly…

I have no idea. (⊙_⊙;)

If we ever actually reach that amount, I’ll have to come up with something special. (;・∀・)

More content.

More extras.

More illustrations.

A bigger budget for the adaptation.

Maybe even find a way to expand the team. (☆▽☆)

I don’t know.

If we ever get that far, we’ll see what this project ends up becoming. ( ̄ω ̄;)

But before I do any of this…

I want to know what you guys think. (´• ω •`)

This is the first time I’ve tried something like this, and I’d rather make sure there’s actually enough interest before setting up the entire support system. ( ̄▽ ̄;)

So I want to do a small poll. (。•̀ᴗ-)✧

WOULD YOU LIKE US TO CONTINUE THE MANHWA?

🔥 YES. I WANT TO SEE MORE.

I’d like the adaptation to continue. (ง'̀-'́)ง

🩸 YES, AND I’D SUPPORT THE PROJECT WITH $5 OR MORE.

I want it to continue, and I’d be willing to help fund its production. (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

👀 I WANT TO READ IT, BUT I WOULDN’T PAY EXTRA.

I like the idea and I’d follow the adaptation, but I probably wouldn’t financially support the project beyond my current membership. (・_・;)

📖 I’D RATHER YOU FOCUS ONLY ON THE NOVEL.

The manhwa sounds interesting, but I’d prefer the main project to remain focused entirely on the novel. (´・ω・`)

I also want to hear your thoughts in the comments. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

What do you think of the art style?

Do you like how Matt turned out?

Do you like how we’re handling the thoughts and dialogue?

Would you change anything about the format?

Would you like to see full chapters?

Are there any scenes from the early chapters that you’re especially excited to see adapted? (☆ω☆)

All of that would help us a lot, because we’re still experimenting and adjusting things. (•̀ᴗ•́)و

And again:

The novel is NOT going to stop because of this.

(`・ω・´)ゞ

I’m going to keep writing normally.

The entire point of creating support specifically for the manhwa would be to pay my friend so he can continue working on the adaptation while I keep writing the story. (ง •̀_•́)ง

That way, we can have both.

The novel.

And, with a little luck…

a manhwa. (✧ω✧)

For now, I just want to see how people react to this first test. ( ̄▽ ̄)

If there’s enough interest and support…

I think this could eventually turn into a pretty serious project. (⊙‿⊙)

And yes.

It still feels strange seeing Matt officially existing in manhwa form. (・o・)

But I’m not going to lie:

I want to see more. (≧▽≦)
