Mo Fan at his best – Versatile Mage

Chapter 166: Snow Frost Star Wolf >>> Swift Star wolf

“Little Flame Belle!”

A path was cleared through the wall of skeletons. Mo Fan sprinted through the gap, which was soon filled by more skeletons with arms like bone swords. They completely sealed off the path.

Luckily, Mo Fan finally found Little Flame Belle after making his way through the woods of skeletons. He was extremely shocked when he saw Little Flame Belle surrounded by white bones.

Little Flame Belle had unleashed all her strength, and even more than that. The power was something she had never possessed before.

The spectacular Thousand Piercing Fire Feathers had eliminated hundreds of skeletons in the area. Their bones were burned down to tiny bits, like a layer of sawdust on the ground.

“Ying!~”

No matter how determined Little Flame Belle was, she was completely worn out when she saw Mo Fan. She quickly flew toward him, seeking some spiritual comfort.

However, when she was less than twenty meters away from Mo Fan, something covered in bone sabers suddenly jumped out from the piles of bones on the ground. Its spinning sabers sliced straight through Little Flame Belle’s body!

Little Flame Belle had depleted her energy after executing Thousand Piercing Fire Feathers. She never thought a Skeleton General would be hiding among the skeletons.

It was too late when Mo Fan saw the Skeleton General springing out from the piles of bones. He could only watch as Little Flame Belle was smashed into the ground less than twenty meters away after the bone sabers sliced through her. It looked as if her tiny body had almost burst apart from the impact!

Mo Fan’s eyes instantly turned bloodshot.

The rage in his chest exploded like a volcano, rushing all the way up his throat and becoming the furious roar of a beast!

“Die!”

Mo Fan leapt into the air. His fist erupted with vigorous flames as it scorched through the air like a meteor skimming the ground!

The punch landed accurately on the Skeleton General. The flames bursting from it were like a volcanic eruption. The violent force alone blasted the Skeleton General flying over a hundred meters away!

The flames devoured the entire Skeleton General. Its head exploded into pieces and landed in front of Mo Fan in scattered fragments. The rest of its body was sent crashing to the ground in every direction. If the flames managed to burn through its undead crystal completely, that single explosive punch would be enough to kill it instantly!

Mo Fan did not care whether that Skeleton General was dead or not.

He rushed down and lifted Little Flame Belle from the ground.

A long cut ran across her back.

She was almost split in half.

Mo Fan’s chest throbbed violently the moment he saw Little Flame Belle’s injuries. It felt as if his heart would explode at any second!

The undead did not know mercy.

No matter how much Mo Fan cared about Little Flame Belle, they still surged forward without end. Thousand Piercing Fire Feathers had already annihilated a large number of skeletons, yet that number was still insignificant when compared to the whole skeleton army!

The sound of moving joints rattled noisily all around. Mo Fan did not even need to raise his head. He knew that at least a hundred skeletons had already entered within fifty meters of him.

One wave.

Then another.

They could chop him into minced meat instantly!

“Die, all of you!” Mo Fan roared.

Purple black lightning suddenly burst from his body and danced wildly across the area.

This time it was not only Mo Fan’s own power.

Lightning Belle had already appeared above his shoulder without him even calling her aloud. Her little face was full of anger too. The moment she saw Little Flame Belle injured so badly, the calamity lightning around her became especially violent. The arcs were no longer just crackling around Mo Fan’s body, they were charging outward like furious living whips!

Mo Fan did not move from where he stood.

Three astonishing lightning bolts descended in succession. One of them struck directly onto the head of an Advancing Warrior level skeleton and instantly disintegrated it into white dust!

The other lightning bolts forked outward as they landed, splitting through the nearby skeletons and bursting them apart from within. Bones cracked. Undead crystals shattered. The battlefield within dozens of meters of Mo Fan immediately became a zone of violent punishment.

More lightning danced in the air and descended in wild forks, leaving behind the silhouettes of lightning dragons as they continued to bring destruction down upon the land!

The burning smell lingered in the air as white bone ash drifted away in the wind.

The whole area was covered in continuous lightning strikes, turning the field into a sea of electricity. Mo Fan stood right in the middle of it, Little Flame Belle in his arms, Lightning Belle above his shoulder, wild lightning reflecting across his pale face, yet his dark pupils still showed no trace of retreat!

Farther away, Zhang Xiaohou had already turned back.

The moment he saw Little Flame Belle get injured, his expression changed completely.

He had been trying to find the exit, but this battlefield had already become too dangerous for Mo Fan to handle alone while protecting Little Flame Belle.

Zhang Xiaohou stepped forward decisively. His Wind Element surged around him, and only now, in the middle of this slaughter, did he once again feel clearly what it meant to be an Advanced Wind Mage.

The wind no longer needed to be painstakingly gathered.

It obeyed his thoughts.

It moved as naturally as his own hands.

With a sweep of his arm, a violent green current slashed through the skeletons trying to close in on Mo Fan’s blind side. Several skeletons were torn apart at the waist, while dozens more were blown backward and thrown into disorder.

The next moment, Zhang Xiaohou stomped the ground.

The earth beneath a cluster of skeletons suddenly shifted and collapsed, disrupting their momentum completely and opening up a small zone around Mo Fan.

This was no longer the clumsy battlefield support of before.

This was an Advanced Mage’s control.

Zhang Xiaohou was not as explosively destructive as Mo Fan, but the pressure he relieved in this moment was enormous!

Like machines, more undead appeared before the ash had even fully dispersed. It felt like a tide rising again and again. No matter how hard one tried to beat it back, it kept returning even higher.

At that moment, a cold silver shadow tore straight through the skeleton tide.

Wolfie was back!

The Snow Frost Star Wolf did not come quietly.

He came like a glacial executioner crashing into a field of rotten grass.

The instant he landed, frost veins spread crazily along the rocky ground. The skeletons nearest to him had only just lowered their bone blades when jagged ice spikes burst upward from beneath their feet, piercing through shin bones, ribcages, skulls, and pinning whole rows of skeletons in place like grotesque white flags mounted on frozen spears!

Wolfie’s icy blue eyes were full of murderous ferocity.

No hesitation.

No mercy.

Only slaughter!

A Warrior level skeleton lunged at him from the side, but Wolfie simply twisted his body and bit down on its neck. The crunch of frozen bone rang sharply through the battlefield. His fangs crushed through the skeleton’s spine, and before the thing could even struggle, a violent freezing force spread from his jaws through its whole body. The skeleton turned into a rigid white sculpture, then shattered into pieces the moment Wolfie flung it aside.

Another group tried to swarm him with sheer numbers.

Wolfie opened his mouth and exhaled a freezing breath.

The breath was not large, but it was terrifyingly concentrated. It swept through the front ranks like a blade of winter itself. One moment the skeletons were charging, the next their joints were sealed with thick ice, their movements slowed to a crawl, and their arms cracked apart as frost spread deeper into their bones.

Wolfie charged straight into them.

His claws tore.

His fangs ripped.

His body was like a silver white war machine.

Every swipe sent bones and ice fragments exploding together. Every bite ended with an undead crystal crushed between his teeth. Every leap flattened another cluster of skeletons beneath overwhelming commander-level force!

What made it worse for the skeletons was not merely his strength.

It was his dominance.

The Emperor bloodline pressure rolling off him did not disappear for a second. The nearer the undead got to him, the more their movements stiffened, as if some instinct buried even in death was telling them not to come closer.

But they had no choice.

They were forced forward by the commands of higher undead.

And so they died in heaps.

Wolfie suddenly raised one paw and smashed it into the earth.

A ring of frost exploded outward.

Long ice lances instantly condensed in the air around him, dozens of them at once, then shot outward with terrifying force. They punched straight through skeleton chests, skulls, and spines, impaling several at a time. Some skeletons were nailed to the ground, others were flung backward by the force, only to be split in half when the ice lances detonated into razor-sharp frost shards inside their bodies.

Within seconds, a bloody frozen clearing had formed around him.

Commander level.

That was true Commander level suppression!

“Twenty-nine!” Mo Fan took a deep breath and uttered the strange number.

The skeletons were swarming toward him from the front, the back, the sides, and even the air. Those on the ground had already formed layer upon layer of encirclement, while even more skeletons leaped upward and dropped toward him like a white net!

“Groundbreak!”

Mo Fan slammed his fist into the ground right beside his feet, driving Rose Flame straight into the earth.

The surface could no longer withstand the rumbling energy underneath it, and a gorgeous Groundbreak in the shape of a flower blossomed beneath his feet!

The fiery flower burst from the ground, knocking the skeletons trying to kill him away helplessly. Some were blasted backward, some were thrown into the air, some were sent flying sideways. Most of them were also set ablaze...

Wolfie did not let those blasted skeletons fall back into formation.

The moment several burning skeletons were thrown into the air, he sprang upward after them. His body moved through the frost and sparks like a silver moon wolf tearing through a blizzard. He bit through one midair, tore another apart with both foreclaws, then kicked off the falling corpse of a third to launch himself into the middle of another cluster. The icy force exploding off his limbs froze even the air around him in streaks of pale white.

Everywhere he landed, skeletons died.

Everywhere he passed, the undead formation was ripped open.

“Thirty!”

Mo Fan uttered another number, as if he were keeping count.

A piercing screech sounded not far away.

Mo Fan followed the sound and saw the Skeleton General whose head he had exploded earlier still standing there. He had no idea how the thing was still making noise in that state, yet it was obviously still commanding the surrounding skeletons to attack him.

It was clear that the Skeleton General had been greatly humiliated by that punch. It was now summoning all the skeletons around it to drown Mo Fan by sheer numbers!

“Take a rest. Don’t force yourself,” Mo Fan softly patted Little Flame Belle’s back and said gently.

“Ying~” Little Flame Belle hugged Mo Fan’s arm tightly and rested her head against him in peace. She was no longer afraid. No matter how many skeletons surrounded them, she no longer felt afraid with Mo Fan there.

Lightning Belle floated down too, anxiously circling around Little Flame Belle and letting out little angry cries. Purple black sparks danced from her fingertips and then gently touched Little Flame Belle’s body, not attacking this time, but carrying faint restorative lightning that helped ease the instability in her flame body.

Mo Fan lifted his head again.

His eyes locked onto the Skeleton General waving its arms in the distance.

Wolfie, meanwhile, was still tearing through anything that dared come close. One skeleton tried to stab toward Mo Fan’s back from a blind angle, but Wolfie arrived first, his jaws clamping over its upper body and crushing it flat. Another tried to leap over him from above, only for an ice spike to be summoned directly through its ribcage before it even landed. Wolfie’s attacks were savage, relentless, and tenacious to the extreme, as if the more undead that came, the colder and crueler he became.

Mo Fan would never forgive anything that dared to hurt his daughter!

“Fleeing Shadow: Shuttle!”

Mo Fan stepped forward. His figure suddenly turned blurry and vanished among the white skeletons like a dark raven cutting through snow.

A shadow swept through the horde at astonishing speed. The clumsy skeletons clearly sensed that Mo Fan was hiding inside that shadow and immediately slashed at it with their bone saber arms.

The bone blades carved marks into the ground.

But they did not touch him.

Mo Fan silently weaved through hundreds of skeletons and appeared right in front of the brainless Skeleton General.

His killing intent had already reached its peak.
