Yselle Side Story: The Comedown
The driving rhythm that had consumed the kitchen finally broke.
Mara stopped. She locked her boots against the floorboards and braced her hands on Mina’s waist, using the student's solid frame to anchor herself. Mara’s chest heaved. Her breath came in ragged, uneven gasps that cut through the quiet crackle of the brick oven.
Mina lay pinned against the scarred oak table, completely shattered. Her body twitched with involuntary spasms. Her hips shuddered as the aftershocks of her climax rolled through her muscles. The puddle of clear fluid beneath her feet reflected the firelight, a sprawling testament to the ruin Mara had inflicted upon her.
Slowly, Mara pulled her hips back.
The dark leather shaft slid out of Mina’s wet pucker. The withdrawal produced a loud slurp, the stretched muscle reluctantly letting go of the tool. As the blunt tip finally cleared the rim, Mina’s body betrayed the extent of the punishment.
The muscle did not snap back. It lacked the strength to contract. The pink ring remained stretched wide open, forming a hollow, gaping circle that exposed her dark, bruised interior to the room. The cooler air of the kitchen rushed into the empty space, touching her internal walls. Mina gasped, her spine curling as she felt the sudden draft inside her own body.
Lysa took a tentative step forward, her eyes locked on the damage.
"Gods," Lysa whispered, pointing at the open hole. "Look at her, Mara. She isn't closing. You stretched her so far she is just stuck open."
Yselle leaned back in her chair and tilted her head to get a better view. A predatory grin stretched across her face. "You hollowed her out. I can see straight inside her. She is going to be leaking the baker's spit and her own juices out of that gap all night."
As the rig pulled free, the dense internal plug seated deep inside Mara shifted, settling awkwardly as the leverage vanished.
Mara threw her head back and let out a deep, guttural moan.
The sound lacked any of her usual stoic discipline. It was raw and exhausted, vibrating with the lingering pleasure of the physical exchange. Her knees trembled. The toll of wielding the rig against such a sturdy body finally caught up to her.
Mara rested her hands on her own thighs, bending forward slightly to catch her breath. She looked across the kitchen, locking eyes with Yselle.
"I see exactly why you enjoy doing this, Yselle," Mara panted, her face flushed red. "I understand why you drag them to your workbench. The feedback of that weight... the way she fights the strap and sends the force right back into your own core. It takes the breath straight out of your lungs."
"I told you she was built to carry the force," Yselle replied. "You just had to be willing to wield the hammer."
Mara nodded slowly. She stood up straight and looked down at Mina draped over the table.
Mina’s backside was flushed a chaotic red, the pale flesh marked by the bruising impact of the leather base. The gaping hole in the center twitched uselessly, unable to close the distance.
Mara raised her calloused right hand. She brought it down flat and hard across the center of Mina's right cheek.
Smack.
The sharp, stinging impact cracked loudly in the humid air. The meat flattened under Mara's palm, jiggling wildly as the kinetic sting sank into the skin. Mina jumped against the oak planks, letting out a weak, breathy squeak. Her gaping hole clenched, trying to react to the slap, but only managed to flutter around empty air.
"Good student," Mara praised, her tone reverting to her calm, commanding authority.
Mara reached down to her hips. She unfastened the brass buckles. The metal clinked as the straps fell away. She pulled the dark leather harness free, stepping out of it entirely. She walked over, dropped the rig back into the wooden storage chest, and let the lid fall shut.
The tavern owner did not immediately sit down. She operated on the practical responsibility of the hearth; she had broken the scholar down, and now she needed to ground her.
Mara walked to the cast-iron stove. She picked up a fresh linen cloth, poured hot water from a resting iron kettle over the fabric, and wrung out the excess moisture. She grabbed a wooden cup from the counter, filled it with cold well water, and carried both items back to the table.
"Stand up, Mina," Mara instructed softly, setting the cup down.
Mina whimpered, trying to push herself off the wood. Her arms shook, and the moment she tried to put weight on her feet, her trembling knees buckled entirely.
"Don't let me fall," Mina whispered, her voice raw and desperate.
Mara stepped in, catching the student before she could slip into the puddle on the floor. Mara wrapped a strong arm around Mina’s bare waist, hauling her upright and pulling her back flush against Mara’s canvas shirt. The solid, unwavering contact provided an instant physical anchor. Mina sagged against her, her breathing ragged, her bare skin radiating heat.
"I have you," Mara murmured, her voice a steady rumble against Mina's back.
Mara reached up with her free hand. She carefully pulled the wire-rimmed glasses off Mina's face, folded the arms, and set them safely on the table. She took the warm, damp cloth and began to wipe the sweat from Mina’s forehead. She dragged the soothing heat down the young woman's neck, across her collarbones, and over her heaving chest, cleaning the wood grain dust and perspiration from her skin.
Mina let out a long, trembling sigh, her eyes drifting shut as the warmth eased her shivering muscles.
Mara picked up the wooden cup and guided the rim to Mina's lips. "Drink. You poured out half your water weight onto my floorboards. Replenish it."
Mina opened her mouth and drank greedily, the cool water soothing her raw throat. She swallowed until the cup was empty, leaning her full weight back into Mara's supportive hold.
While Mara tended to Mina's upper half, Lysa quietly stepped over the puddle on the floorboards. The baker retrieved her own damp cloth and knelt down behind them. She began the practical work of wiping the slick moisture from Mina's inner thighs, carefully and gently dabbing around the gaping, sensitive rim. Mina murmured a senseless sound of gratitude to both women, utterly pliant under their synchronized care.
Once Mina was clean and her breathing leveled out, Mara reached over to a nearby peg and pulled down a thick woolen blanket. She draped it over Mina’s bare shoulders, wrapping the fabric securely around the student's front to ward off the winter chill.
Only then did Mara step back, letting Mina stand on her own two feet.
Mara walked slowly back to the head of the oak table. Her gait was wider than usual, her trousers hiding the lingering ache in her thighs. She reached her wooden chair and collapsed into it, dropping her weight with genuine, bone-deep exhaustion. She let out a long, slow exhale, letting the quiet domesticity of the kitchen settle back over the room.
Mara tossed the damp cloth onto her plate. She looked at Lysa, and then at Yselle, her mind shifting back to the business of the tavern.
"Lysa, fetch the mop and a bucket of lye water," Mara commanded. Her voice was tired, lacking its usual sharp edge, but the instruction was clear. "We need these floorboards scrubbed, and the table wiped down with vinegar. The evening crowd arrives in half an hour, and I need my kitchen clean."
"Yes, Mara," Lysa agreed immediately, pushing herself up from the floor to gather the cleaning supplies.
Mara turned her dark eyes to the forge master. "Take Mina upstairs, Yselle. Get her out of my kitchen. She is cooked all the way through."
Yselle let out a rough laugh. She stood up, her boots scuffing against the floorboards as she walked toward the blanket-wrapped student.
"Come along, Mina," Yselle ordered, resting a possessive hand on the back of the student's neck. "The hearth broke you in. Now it is time to see how well you sleep."
"And Yselle," Mara added, raising a single, authoritative finger before they could cross the threshold. "Try not to make the poor student scream too loudly up there. I do not want complaints from my patrons while they are paying good coin to enjoy their ale."
Yselle grinned over her shoulder, her pale eyes flashing in the firelight. "I make no promises, Mara."
