Chapter 7. Experiment
"It's okay, I'll go get you some water for washing up, dear."
"Mom..." Jin'er hurriedly called out to Qi, who was heading to the kitchen.
"I can get it myself, you don't have to worry about me, go ahead and be busy."
When she was lying in bed, she couldn't say a word, let alone move, but now, although she couldn't make any big movements, she was capable of carrying a basin of water.
She was old enough to feel a sense of embarrassment.
And besides, her mother was busy every day, never idle from the moment she woke up. Feeding the chickens and ducks, tending to the livestock, organizing the vegetable garden, washing the family's clothes, and preparing breakfast, all this work done within a short span of a morning hour. Truly, Jin'er admired her mother very much, thinking she was amazing.
But at the same time, she felt a little sorry for her, and she preferred not to trouble her mother with things she could do herself.
Seeing her daughter was indeed fine, and being really too busy, Qi didn't think much more about it and nodded her head.
"Alright, you go and get the water for washing, but be careful of the hot water."
"Don't worry, Mom, I'm not a child anymore." Jin'er pouted playfully.
"Alright, alright, our Jin'er is all grown up, not a child anymore."
