Chapter 608: The Bloody Queen
Inside a spacious room.
There was nothing around.
Only a crystal coffin-like object stood out.
“So this is Elisabeth.”
Ayato walked up and saw a stunningly beautiful girl lying quietly inside the crystal coffin.
Her figure was curvaceous, filled with a unique charm.
But even more striking…
Was the sword standing on her chest, piercing through her body.
“How is it, Master? Can it be done?”
Mary stepped forward, a flicker of worry in her eyes.
Although she had determined…
That a vampire could indeed reincarnate as a Devil…
The lady’s current condition made her worry.
“No problem. She’s just in a state of false death right now.”
Ayato smiled slightly and casually pulled out the sword.
Clatter.
As the sword fell to the ground, a soft moan followed.
Under their watch…
Elisabeth’s eyes moved and finally slowly opened.
“You are… Mary?”
Elisabeth looked at Mary somewhat confusedly and said instinctively, “Why… am I not dead?”
“No, it’s not necessary.”
The corners of Mary’s eyes moistened as she gently helped Elisabeth up. “Milady, I have found a way for you to overcome the urge to drink blood.”
“…”
Elisabeth was stunned for a moment, then smiled bitterly. “Mary, don’t lie to me.”
“I’ve tried this before, but it’s simply impossible.”
Once upon a time, she thought…
That she could overcome her bloodsucking instinct with her own will.
But the final result…
Was that she grew weaker and weaker.
She hadn’t even noticed when that bastard Crimson mixed blood into her food.
Only then did such a tragedy occur.
She never wanted to see anything like that again.
“No, that’s not it.”
Mary gripped Elisabeth’s hand tightly. “I really have found a way.”
“Since a vampire can’t overcome the urge to drink blood, let’s completely change that identity.”
“I am no longer a vampire now, but a Devil.”
“???”
Elisabeth was confused.
Since when did Mary tell such clumsy lies?
“It’s true.”
Mary’s expression was serious, and a pair of wings extended from her back.
“Th-this…”
Elisabeth’s pupils contracted, her eyes full of disbelief.
“Now do you believe me, Milady?”
“Devils… truly exist.”
Elisabeth murmured softly, then looked at Ayato. “If that’s the case, you’re the one who turned Mary into a Devil.”
“Very clever. How did you guess?”
“Simple. Because of my existence, Mary wouldn’t tell anyone such thing.”
Elisabeth smiled. “Plus the Devil form Mary just showed.”
“Then all of this can only be related to you.”
“Good answer.”
Ayato took out an Evil Piece and said calmly, “So what is your answer?”
“I couldn’t ask for more.”
Elisabeth said absently, “I don’t actually want to die. I’m just desperate about the bloodsucking.”
“If I can change all of this, even if I have to become a Devil, I want to try.”
“Not a bad resolve.”
A smile appeared on Ayato’s lips. “But before that, there’s something I need to remind you of.”
“Once you become a Devil, your body and soul will belong to me. You will exist to serve me for life.”
“Even so, do you still wish to continue?”
Hearing Ayato’s words, Elisabeth’s pretty face flushed slightly.
Serve or something…
That was far too embarrassing.
Although she had lived countless years…
She was still a maiden.
Would she really give herself to this man she had just met?
But all of this…
Was only a moment’s hesitation. Her gaze was already replaced by determination.
“I agree.”
Elisabeth gazed into Ayato’s eyes and nodded gently.
“Good.”
Ayato smiled. “Then let’s begin the Reincarnation Ceremony.”
“Mm, mm.”
Elisabeth lifted her head, a flicker of anticipation in her eyes.
She wondered what the ritual for reincarnating a vampire into a Devil was like.
“First, step out of the coffin.”
“Oh…”
Elisabeth looked at herself, then smiled apologetically.
“Sorry, I almost forgot about that.”
She stepped out of the coffin, but her body stumbled.
“Milady, are you alright?”
Mary quickly reached out to support her.
Elisabeth waved her hand. “It’s nothing. I’m just not used to it yet.”
