Ayato and Mary separated.
“I never imagined a god’s Blessing would be presented in this way.”
Mary’s eyelashes fluttered, a blush on her cheeks, her eyes completely dazed.
But soon.
She looked at Ayato with some suspicion and said quietly, “Master, could it be that you set up this Blessing ritual this way just to take advantage of people?”
“That’s absolutely not true.”
Ayato said seriously, “Due to the unique constitution of a God Slayer, a Blessing can only be granted this way.”
“Honestly, sometimes it troubles me too.”
“Troubles you?”
Mary blinked. “You’re troubled by something that lets you take advantage of people?”
“Of course. You have no idea how many servants I have.”
“???”
Mary’s face was full of question marks. She asked instinctively, “Master, how many servants do you have?”
“Probably a few hundred thousand. I’ve lost track of the exact number.”
“Heh, heh.”
Mary twitched her mouth.
Indeed.
If that was the case, it was a bit difficult.

This was just a huge pervert.
A few hundred thousand servants? How had he managed such an astonishing number?
“Alright, stop daydreaming.”
Ayato patted Mary’s shoulder and said calmly, “We have trouble at the door.”

The surroundings had become very quiet.
Even the usually noisy cicadas had vanished.
“Let’s go outside and have a look.”

Stepping out, the street was quiet.
It seemed no different except for being too quiet.
But now, Mary could feel the killing intent hidden beneath the night.
And the vampire aura that could no longer be concealed.
She sighed and said, “Crimson, since you’re here, show yourself.”

Crisp footsteps approached, and a figure appeared at the end of the street, illuminated by the moonlight.
“I didn’t expect you to still remember an old friend like me.”
He looked at Mary with a smile. “I’m a little touched, to be honest.”
“Save it. You betrayed Elisabeth. I won’t forget you for that alone.”
Mary said darkly. “And if I’m not mistaken, the vampires who ambushed me today were all acting on your orders.”
“Yes, you’re right about everything.”
Crimson smiled. “Honestly, I don’t really want to kill an old friend like you.”
“How about this? Hand over Lady Elisabeth to me, and we’ll pretend we never saw each other. What do you say?”
“Don’t even think about it.”
Mary refused outright.
“Because of you, Lady Elisabeth wanted to end her own life.”
“How could I hand her over to a scumbag like you?”
“So, negotiations have broken down?”
Crimson shook his head helplessly. “Then don’t blame me.”
The moment his voice fell, figures appeared on the surrounding streets and rooftops.
They were tall, short, fat, and thin, but without exception, they all had blood-red eyes and exuded astonishing killing intent.
“Lord Crimson, we should have been allowed to act long ago.”
“Exactly. She killed so many of our kin. Letting her off would be too easy for her.”
“But the man next to her looks quite… fragrant. I wonder how his blood tastes.”
All the vampires looked at Mary and Ayato, their expressions becoming increasingly hideous.
Tangible killing intent had already coated the air with visible frost.
“Mary, as you can see, they’re very eager to kill you.”
Crimson spread his hands helplessly. “So I’ll give you one last piece of advice. You better think carefully.”
“This is your final chance, given out of consideration for our past friendship.”
Although his voice was warm, Crimson’s eyes had turned ice-cold.
His gaze towards Mary and Ayato was as if he were looking at two dead people.
Hearing this, Mary didn’t say another word. She simply drew her sword.
“It seems you’ve made the wrong choice.”
Crimson’s eyes grew colder as he gently waved his hand.
“In that case, I’ll trouble you all to kill her.”
The moment his voice fell…
Astonishing killing intent exploded completely.
All the vampires charged towards Mary and Ayato from every direction.
