"One. Give me just one reason why I should not kick you out of this palace," Lord Sadako sighed defeatedly as he stared at the two idiots, one of whom had summoned him and the other who looked like he wanted to be everywhere but here.
"I can explain," King Zaffuto began but the glare he got from Sadako instantly got him shutting up and turning to his son who was looking at him for help. How the fuck was he supposed to when they had gotten into this because of him?
"Tamiko," the Lycan Lord spoke, his glare reminding Tamiko that he was already into much trouble to even be thinking of the way his uncle, the man who had never once called him by his Grealor-given name, was suddenly using it casually like it had been their norm for years.
"Papa wanted to say hello," the kid replied sheepishly.
"I see you have too much time on your hands, aye," Lord Sadako said as he looked disappointedly at his brother, who was covered in the duct from all the boxes he had been moving while looking for HER chess board.
It was not supposed to be this hard, but trouble had called already and there was no other way for the king and his dear prince this time anyway; unless they played another game, which was not even comforting at this point either way.
"We are about to play chess, but Papa is taking too long instead of conjuring a chess board so this can start," Tamiko spoke.
Sadako ran a frustrated hand down his face as he tried to think of why in any universe the kid would summon him frantically for help.
"He called me old," the king accused.
"He forgot the question I asked and I asked if he has Alzheimer’s."
