Chapter 218: The Power In Numbers
[THE FREE LANDS]
"He just passed here. We need to get to him and Akuila before they get to the Lycan palace. That way we can use them as a bargain for the Lycan king. That man has made our lives difficult and it is time we get what we have always wanted from him.
"He wants to give us back our people or let us know if they are dead or alive. Surely that shouldn’t be a lot to ask of a man who has spent his life terrorizing the realm, right?" a man with long grey hair spoke as he looked at his group that was in the same regalia.
They had weapons in their hands and all over their bodies like they had known the war was not going to be easy for them.
This was not what they had thought possible but after the king’s proud declaration of what needed to be last evening, everyone was using the window that they had been given.
None of them had expected that Igor Konstantin would be out of the place despite the announcement of his omega nature. They had expected that he would be back in the palace trying to figure out how to make the next perfect nest.
Instead, he was out and released into the world as none of the shit that had happened that evening had truly happened. That wasn’t what they needed to embrace right now, and the sooner they got done with the mad king, the sooner they would be able to get a portion of their lives back.
It was their wish, but with King Zaffuto, wishes would sometimes remain just that. The man had no regard for life and he didn’t care that so many people would be screwed over because of him.
Perhaps That was why these people had gathered to deal with Igor Konstantin. But was there a chance at a win for them or were they about to walk the talk and spread the possible faith of doom?
"This is too risky, are you sure about this, Mick?" another man asked and the man who had been talking early, Mick, looked at him hopefully.
It was almost like this was the only thing they could afford to do for themselves because the sun and the mind had left them alone at the mercy of a man who knew nothing of love and hate.
