"I told you he would do anything to make you stay home," Danny said as they walked into the space kitchens. It was emptier than usual and the only people who were there seemed determined to stay out of sight of the new prince.
They were worried that they would encounter the same fate that most of their people and friends had endured after staring at the mad king in the eyes.
The horrors of what Zaffuto had trained his people into were staring right back at Tamiko but this time, he was too cooped up in his mind to even realize that the staff had been leaving one by one so that he wouldn’t notice.
And maybe he did notice or maybe it was because he couldn’t think of a good enough reason for his father to bring over Gabriel and Alpha Ashton to Kawai. It was a wild line of thought and truly, scary.
"It all doesn’t make sense. I am here, am I not?" Tamiko sighed as he stared at Danny hopefully and Danny just chuckled. The facts were staring at the both of them and it was just a matter of time before everyone went back to what it had been long before the young prince was born.
But even that didn’t seem convincing enough for Tamiko. His father was not changing. He was not being the king right now, but was that supposed to mean that he was being a father?
"He is making sure I don’t leave. Because if I leave there are also chances that he might piss you off and you will come after me to talk it out. He fears that you might never want to have him as your father anymore after yesterday.
"Your father is growing more desperate," Danny pointed out and Tamiko sighed.
