"Are you sure you are okay?" Tamiko asked not sure what he was supposed to say. The king clearly could tell that the conversation was getting a little uncomfortable for his son, which wasn’t his intention. He was just happy that his son was back home.
"If you recommend me to the asylum again, I’m taking you with me there," the king said with a pout, and Sadako snorted. He wasn’t sure what was happening here but seeing Tamiko smile at Zaffuto’s statement got his heart at ease.
"No one is taking anyone to an asylum. We are preparing for the annual mating celebration and the king chose you and Chief Konstantin to headline the celebrations," the Lycan Lord said and Tamiko froze.
However, before Tamiko or even Kosta could say anything, the king spoke.
"It doesn’t mean that you are going to go public with your mate bond if you don’t want to. We won’t pressure you. We just want familiar faces there, and given I wish to attend the celebration for the first time in almost three decades;
"I was hoping you both wouldn’t mind. It is okay if you say no, and I’m not saying this as the king, but as your friend... you consider me that, right, Hinata?" the king said, asking the last bit in a low voice.
