It was understandable why Lottie felt so grateful to be part of the team.
Camille and Vivian, who also came from the Sunset Base, had more immediately useful skills—Camille was a nurse, and Vivian had water-based superpowers.
In contrast, while Lottie was capable and skilled in many areas, her abilities weren’t that needed for the team at the time.
On top of that, she had a younger sister to care for, unlike Camille and Vivian, who only needed to support themselves.
Because of this, Lottie wasn’t recruited into the team at first.
