Chapter 24 - 23: Getting along with Ashlee
"Don’t worry, Ashlee; we are just saving them from the ones that receive bad gifts and turn into monsters. As soon as they wake up, we will let them go," Luciel simply said.
He didn’t even let Treyton go and also tied him up, even though he knew that he wouldn’t wake up as a zombie.
After tying all of them up, he opened the movable roofs to protect them all from the sun.
"Ashlee, I’m going to get some food downstairs. Don’t get close to any of them, and just wait for me, okay?"
It’s already morning, so he and Ashlee need to eat something for breakfast.
"Yes, I will wait for brother," Ashlee said obediently.
"If someone wakes up, don’t go near them, and call me first. You can just shout, and I will come back immediately," Luciel said.
After Ashlee agreed, he went downstairs and made some sandwiches for the two of them.
He also got milk, ice cream, cookies, and other snacks they could eat later on.
He didn’t know how to cook because, in his past life, he was busy being an actor and had an assistant take care of his food, or he would just order takeout. Then, when the apocalypse came, there was no more food to cook, so he didn’t learn it.
In this life, Nina always prepared his meals, so he didn’t bother learning it, so now he could only make some sandwiches for them to eat.
