Chapter 50: Bitten by a Mad Dog
Before she could even begin to process the pain, her chin was clutched by a large hand, the long knuckles sinking deep into her tender skin, painfully digging into her jawbone, almost bringing tears to her eyes.
Meng Tian was lifted by her chin like one would pick up a small cat or dog.
As she raised her leg to kick, she was forcefully held down and thrown onto the sofa.
The sofa, made of genuine leather with plenty of bounce, flung Meng Yi’s body up and then down again. In the whirl of her world turning upside down, the man had already pressed down on her, pinning her beneath him.
With all her limbs restrained, she was so dizzy and blurred that she had no strength to struggle.
She had already exhausted her energy while trying to save someone just moments ago, and now with this commotion, sweat dampened her temples, and the wet strands of hair clung to her fair forehead while her cheeks were flushed with intense panting.
"Tang Jingyao," Meng Tian glared at the man atop her, "I am accusing you of assaulting an officer. Let me go."
"Assaulting an officer? Does Forensic Doctor Meng have any evidence?" Tang Jingyao sneered, "Or is it enough for a police officer to accuse someone with just their words?"
Suddenly, he leaned down and kissed her lips fiercely—not so much a kiss but more like a wild beast savagely biting its prey in revenge.
Meng Tian felt a pain on her lip and tasted the tang of blood in her mouth. She shook her head, trying to dodge, but this only made him more aggressive.
