Chapter 7: The Kitten Scratching at Home
Fu Xingzhou took a drag from his cigarette and chuckled, "What, is your hotel offering a free stay?"
"I heard someone brought a beauty here to enjoy themselves, I certainly can't steal the limelight," Tang Jingyao instructed the manager beside him. "Go, send a bottle of Madison's Night to the young master's private room."
"Yes." The manager hurriedly sent his subordinates to fetch the wine.
"What happened to your face?" Tang Jingyao stared curiously at Fu Xingzhou's face, which had a scratch that was neither deep nor shallow, now half-clotted into a red scab.
Everyone who had encountered Fu Xingzhou today had noticed the wound, especially since it was in such a visible location, but no one dared to ask.
Only Tang Jingyao was fearless.
Fu Xingzhou took another drag, his narrow eyes half-closed, "It's nothing, just a scratch from the household cat."
"Since when did you have a cat?"
And this didn't look at all like a cat's scratch, more like something a child might believe.
"Was it Dr. Ye who scratched you?" Tang Jingyao leaned in, eager like a raccoon in a melon patch.
Fu Xingzhou's close friends all knew about his marriage, but none of them took it seriously.
