Chloe Grant walked back, but before she got halfway, Lucas Morgan, standing over there, suddenly lifted his head. His gaze was sharp and cold, like a blade, startling Chloe into stopping her steps.
He simply glanced at her, said nothing, and turned to enter the villa, locking the door behind him.
Lucas slightly raised his head, walked a few steps inside, but couldn’t take it anymore, bracing his hand on the table, rubbing his forehead with the other.
