Chapter 23: Two Cures
"No." Chloe Grant shook her head, silently eating.
She really didn't know how to talk about this with the two elders of the Morgan family.
If they knew she had a wolfish ambition for their son and wanted to sleep with him, but ended up suffering herself, they'd probably think she deserved it.
They might even despise her.
Isabella Gray exchanged a glance with the old man beside her, their eyes signaling him to quickly think of a solution. What if dear Chloe kept feeling sad and harmed her health?
Mr. Morgan also had a headache, but he still gave his wife a reassuring look, patting his chest, indicating that he would handle everything.
After a few seconds' pause, Mr. Morgan spoke, "Chloe dear, a vacation resort was just developed in the west suburbs a few days ago. There's a small bungee jump there, not very high in altitude. Do you want to give it a try?"
Originally stirring her porridge absentmindedly, Chloe Grant heard Mr. Morgan's words and looked up. Although she didn't speak, her eyes showed a hint of interest in going.
Seeing this, Elder Morgan was quite satisfied and was about to continue speaking when there was a commotion at the door.
