Liszt greeted the Admiral with open arms, passionately welcoming him, unaware that he had already become the target of Ezio’s scrutiny.

It was essential for Celeste to keep a close eye on Black Sail’s movements. Although no funds had been invested yet, the valuable intelligence personnel working for him and the employment costs for Hall-level adventurer Chuan Che were significant expenses, not to mention the outlays for Fafna.
She could not afford to let all the effort invested wash away.
Liszt sat down carelessly on the guest sofa to catch up with his old friend whom he hadn’t seen in a long time.
The original plan was to team up with the Admiral for smuggling, to grow stronger and bigger, but the situation had changed, and they no longer needed him. Taylor Plank had plenty of channels to sell through however they desired.
In the East Sea, those without the Ship Traders Association credentials could only admit defeat when encountering chain ’zero-dollar purchase’ pirate ships under Black Sail.
If any pirates outside of Black Sail’s control dared disrupt the hard-earned order, they should not blame Liszt for being ruthless. It would be like going in reverse, and the logical consequence would be execution.
The Admiral sat in silence for a long while, even twenty seconds of stillness, before his tight brow relaxed. He pressed the summon bell on his desk, and a naval officer pushed the door open and entered.
