They stretched out densely, blocking out the sun and shrouding Fuma Keqing from all directions, even the sunlight was obscured, casting the deck into darkness.

The tentacles struck down at the deck like a fierce storm.

All the while, Liszt had been searching for Haywood’s whereabouts, who was certainly not on the deck.

One reason for the sea monster’s frenzy was clear.

Haywood had already plunged into the sea; anyone could leave Black Sail and look for refuge under another force, except him.

And at the sea monster’s center was a maw as large as a building, like a bottomless abyss. Haywood dived right into it, an undying body withstanding layers of wriggling, saw-like teeth, grinding Haywood into a bloody, sandy powder that quickly solidified in the water.
