Chapter 165: CLXV. Radiance

Seven hundred years ago.

The Empress Engma, under the conquest of thirty-three Radiant Knights, ruled over the Western Continent.

History became legend, and legend turned into rumors.

Too many things can no longer be verified.

Liszt had, of course, been researching the Junlin Sword for a long time, and to date, so many years later, only twenty-four exist in the present world, with nine never having been found.

But even among those that have appeared, many have vanished once more, their whereabouts unknown.

Three hundred years ago, there was a Magician who visited all the owners of the Junlin Swords and created an illustrated book; the book depicted only seventeen swords.

Such ancient books are hard to come by, many copies were indeed made during that era, but by now they have completely disappeared. Fortunately, four years ago, Liszt’s enemy had managed to obtain one, much like getting a game for free with the purchase of a console.

He had already figured out the strategies.

Thirty-three swords, each with a different design, the Empress, in her quest to Curse Kill all the knights, commissioned that era’s supreme Magician to forge distinctive Curse Swords based on each knight’s unique name and title, to demonstrate the Monarch’s "great favor."

The sword that Liszt holds in his left hand today was originally bestowed upon a knight known as the Abyss Armor; as a ceremonial sword, it’s extremely luxurious. The handle is entirely black, with engravings so fine that you can’t grasp all the details at a glance, and the curvature of the sword blade and the embossed patterns are meticulously crafted.
