Chapter 153: CLIII. Mini Magician
The dancer witnessed everything at the staircase. Her night had turned completely sour, and to make matters worse, there was now a fire to deal with, and she had an art exhibition waiting for her the day after tomorrow. It wasn’t time to stand around watching; she casually threw on a coat and agilely leaped from the second-floor corridor window onto the street, promptly vanishing without a trace.
The Water Pavilion Autumn Moon’s main hall on the first floor.
Although Lu’s fireball hadn’t killed a single pirate, it had ignited many of the wooden decorations, causing a blaze.
The security personnel here, seeing the terrifying scene, had all fled. With a monthly salary of just a dozen or so silver coins, who would gamble with their life?
Gawain’s gaze locked onto Liszt, deciding that killing the captain first should be the highest priority threat.
Morison’s crossbow arrows flew at him in rapid succession.
Gawain moved like a fleeting swan, his speed akin to skimming the ground, running faster than the arrows, and with a series of intricately curved steps, he easily dodged them all.
His weapon was the same as Archer’s, a type known as the Curved Sword, close to an S-shape but with much less curvature, its advantage being lighter and thinner but with more momentum, powerful and heavy-hitting, but its drawback was its difficulty in retracting.
He wielded two Great Curved Swords and was now closing in on Liszt.
A sudden gust of wind erupted, and the trajectory of his slashes was so swift that afterimages appeared, looking like serpents as they slashed toward Liszt.
Liszt, after Dreya’s reminder, had also trained with a sword in his left hand, making him notably more flexible than before.
