Chapter 91: XCI. The Edge of the Universe
This mad woman had never intended to let him go from the start; she was trying it out herself.
"What do you mean, seeing me out, at least you should open the door, right?"
Liszt didn’t really care, seeing as he no longer cared about his face or his life, having been isolated for millennia by divine paths. He made no more fuss and prepared to jump straight out of the window.
The faint fire flickered in the fireplace, rendering the already dim space even colder.
It seemed Dreya was already getting angry, and if it were not for the Curse Artifact inside Liszt, she would just need to cast a spell to make him her permanent servant.
She hated herself for not having done so earlier. This scum was too special, like something from an Alien Celestial Body, with his addictive blood. Such poisonous stuff was hard to discard; she even restrained herself to merely tasting a little each time, fearing that if he died, she’d have no more supply. Not only that, but also his... malicious tricks—it had come to the point where she could no longer do without him.
Dreya had completely gone mad due to Liszt’s Transformation Skill.
"If you want a divorce, it’s not impossible, but it still requires clergy certification; only then does it count. You come back every few months, that’s all the capability you have, it’s just me tolerating you."
Dreya said nonchalantly, sitting back on the sofa. Her mind wasn’t that of a naive young girl; she had long endured Liszt’s financial maneuvers and life-threatening outbursts.
Liszt, with his tongue pushing against his cheek, knew Dreya wasn’t unreasonable when it came to priests. But traditional customs of the Western Continent dictated that one should find a priest from the Holy Spirit Church to certify the divorce, get the blessing of the God of Love, and have family and friends come over for a banquet.
"Where the hell do I find a priest in this godforsaken place?" Liszt gave in, considering the mad woman had previously abducted one from the neighboring island. He suddenly remembered Caroso was on that island too, someone capable of officiating, but he couldn’t afford to spoil major plans over this, so he changed his tactic. "Also, we haven’t even had a banquet yet, so it’s not official, just a sham marriage, a live-in situation. Why take it so seriously?"
