Chapter 346 - 345: Two Plans
The first approach involves using traditional mechanical principles to install the Flow-based Operating System on the Dark Gold Battle Star. This system features a micro-aggregation program embedded within Flow Base Electronics. With a microsystem, control over the Dark Gold Battle Star can be achieved, resembling the giant robots researched by the Iron Base Civilization in the past.
However, at that time, due to insufficient technology, the Iron Base Civilization failed in system control. In contrast, the Wandering Alliance, as a Level 4 Civilization, boasts a wealth of experience in the manufacture of robots and certainly has the technology and capability to implement this approach—and likely do it even better than imagined.
However, this plan requires one condition.
That is, if the Flow Base system is to be exceptionally intelligent, it means that it needs to possess self-awareness. Otherwise, if it operates only on fixed programs, it would significantly weaken the combat capability of the Dark Gold Battle Star. Moreover, since robots gained independence, the Wandering Alliance has established regulations governing the creation of intelligent life, mandating that any intelligent life they create must be treated as legal and equal citizens.
This means that if this approach is applied to the Dark Gold Battle Star, the Dark Gold itself essentially becomes a life form.
However, considering that directly creating new intelligent life would require it to grow and would unlikely provide strong combat support during the growth phase, this does not align well with the demands of the Wandering Alliance.
Therefore, scientists added a condition to this plan: they suggest transferring the consciousness of old robots into the Dark Gold Battle Star. With a brief familiarization period to adapt to the control changes, the Dark Gold Battle Star could then exhibit its strongest combat power. However, there is a flaw in this method: the robots transferred into the Dark Gold must stay within the Battle Star for an extended period and might never be able to return to their original state.
This also means that their life forms will undergo a transformation.
The second approach is bolder, more advanced, and more visionary than the first.
