My Overpowered Demon System

Chapter 83: TRUE CULTIVATION

"You can return now," Jasmine suddenly said.

Azrael looked around for where she might be.

Then he saw her seated gently on a chair.

In front of her, Daisy sat on a stool.

Jasmine was busy plaiting her hair.

"What about the destruction?" Azrael asked with a raised brow.

"It has been taken care of. The only reason the building brought you out was due to the explosion itself, not the damage," she replied.

Even as she spoke, she did not look away from the hair.

Daisy flashed a smile at Azrael.

Azrael waved in response.

"Two hours are up already. All that’s left is to cultivate," Azrael said. "Let me do that in my room."

Jasmine finally looked away from the hair.

"So you would slack off just because I can’t see your room?" she asked.

Azrael was confused by her words.

This was the second time she was telling him that she could not look into his room.

He had thought she was joking previously.

But her saying it again made Azrael have a rethink.

"Alright," he replied.

The floor beneath him opened widely, and he dropped into the training ground once again.

Looking around, it was as good as when he had entered in the first place.

Not a single charred stone, neither was the air thick.

Even the destroyed dummies seemed to have been mysteriously repaired.

"Maybe creating a tier 17 house truly is worth it," Azrael muttered as he looked around.

The house regenerated from every wound and even rebuilt spoiled equipment.

Azrael drew a long breath, then sat on the floor.

Then he sat on the floor, legs folded over each other.

Another deep breath.

He closed his eyes, letting his mind come to a point of absolute clarity.

Essence in the area began to dance as if it were welcoming a fellow brother.

They poured towards his chest in a massive torrent.

Azrael felt his core begin to absorb the essence greedily as if it was starved.

But even at this pace, Azrael was able to deduce how long it would take for him to reach the next tier.

At least three months.

And that was when he did nothing but cultivate.

This was the first time he was truly cultivating, and he finally understood why people advanced so slowly.

He pushed all these thoughts to the back of his mind and let the essence continue to saturate his body.

Time passed in a blur.

"Your time here is up."

As Azrael heard the house’s voice, he opened his eyes.

He was back in the living room.

"That was fast," Azrael mused, looking around.

No one was there.

"How do I get meat?" he wondered.

He had not thought much about it when a plate of freshly grilled steak that still released smoke appeared beside him.

"You cook too?" Azrael asked with wide eyes.

The house continued to make him more amazed with each passing moment.

"As long as there are ingredients, any food can be ready at any time."

Azrael nodded, carrying the plate while rising from the floor.

He made sure to enter his room before tasting the meat.

His fork picked up one of the cubes, and he put it into his mouth.

The flavor burst on his tongue as he chewed, filling him with the hot, spicy, and tasty feeling.

This was by far better than everything he had ever eaten in his life.

He sat on his bed as he ate from the plate.

"Maybe there is something worth living for here in the end," he mused, already chewing his third piece of meat.

Looking at the seven plates at his feet, Azrael rubbed his stomach lazily.

"I am full."

Dropping the remainder on his plate, he signaled for the house to take care of the plates.

Before his eyes, the plates disappeared as if they had never been there in the first place.

He stood up from the bed and walked into the bathroom.

The sound of water gushing out soon followed as Azrael took a quick shower before bed.

He tossed the clothes he had worn previously into the basket beside his bed and wore his pajamas.

"My laundry too," Azrael said, jumping into the bed.

The clothes in the basket vanished for a heartbeat before returning.

But not in the basket.

They appeared neatly folded in the wardrobe.

Azrael lay sprawled on the bed, eyes wide open as he looked at the wall.

His mind, however, was far from there.

"Being here alone will surely be boring," he mused.

Everyone there was just so different from him.

Jasmine was too cold to even be associated with.

Clara feared Azrael, and any connection between them was going to be built on her fear.

Daisy, whom he had only seen today, was the only one who could pass off as normal.

But she was too young for them to relate to each other.

Slowly, Azrael had begun to get attached to the other students at the academy.

They were all his age mates, roughly equal in talent and significance, at least before.

And most of them were cheerful even if they decided to hide it.

"I wonder if they were able to reach the mansion from the rift."

As he thought of it, a smile bloomed on his face.

All of them were left behind due to arriving at the rendezvous point late.

"System, why are you so quiet?" Azrael asked.

[Nothing. I am letting you live in the moment.]

Although the system could not portray any emotions, Azrael had begun to understand its emotional sides.

And this was undoubtedly one of them.

But he did not say anything to the system.

Both of them were like two lost sheep trying to find themselves at this moment.

Azrael’s mind returned to the students, and several thoughts flashed through it.

Sometimes he would smile, at times he would frown, and most of the time, he did not know which one to do.

Before he knew it, he was asleep, his mind drifting into sleep.

"At least, that is what is meant to be happening," Azrael yelled as he looked around.

"Where the hell am I?" he yelled, staring into the infinite darkness that surrounded him.

Then, the darkness began to clear.

Looking around, he was in a lush garden.
