Blessed Curse of Lust

The afternoon magic classes went well. Lily made some more progress in her control. A couple more days and she will be able to practice alone without the fear of causing a disaster. That was really good news.

In the afternoon, the two went to the training room. It was more sword practice for the two of them. Of course, the bratty princess also made an appearance. Yelena had no idea how she had found them, considering they had never discussed specific dates and were using a different room.

Yelena assumed Valerie had eyes and ears everywhere. Considering her status, it wouldn’t be unthinkable for her to have a bunch of students reporting back to her. It was still odd. Why would she go to this length?

Luckily, she didn’t have much time to think about these things. They started the training session right away. She first focused on Lily, making sure to correct any mistakes in Lily's posture or sword handling.

Once Lily was good and started practicing on one of the training dummies, Yelena went over to the princess. Surprisingly enough, teaching Valerie wasn’t as difficult as Yelena expected. In fact, she was very compliant during the whole training. Normally, she was arrogant and hard to deal with, but during the session, she never complained and followed everything Yelena was telling her.

It was certainly odd. Either she took the promise of no backtalking very seriously, or she was really that desperate to get better at sword fighting. There were no other options in Yelena’s mind.

“Hey! Watch where you… touching!” The princess said as Yelena was adjusting her posture.

This was the only issue Yelena kept running into. Anytime she tried to fix her posture or show how she should do certain moves, Valerie got extremely weird about it.

“We’ve been over this many times now. I’m not doing anything! The most I’m touching are your hips, arms or legs. Nothing weird. You don’t need to be so sensitive about it.” Yelena was not exactly happy about the situation either.

“Hmpf! You better not!” The princess replied.

Yelena could only roll her eyes. Valerie had learned swordfighting before. Every instructor would do the same. It was the easiest way to show how to do it properly. It was really not like she was getting handsy with her or anything. She definitely didn’t treat her the same way as she would with Lily.

Each time, the princess would either snap at her or, worse, she would tolerate it while making weird noises and squirming around. It was frustrating to teach someone like that. At this point, Yelena thought it would be better if Valerie just acted the way she always did.

After they ended the training session, the princess left in a hurry. Her face was beet-red by the end of it. Something Yelena either didn’t notice or, more likely, willfully ignored.

Yelena walked over to Lily, who was just putting back her wooden sword to its place. Yelena wanted to talk a little. There was something she had to ask.

“So, when I was at the Azure Dragon’s today, they mentioned they will have a party on Saturday. Also said I can bring somebody. Thought I would ask if you wanted to come with me?” Yelena made the offer to Lily.

She had already told both of them she had been accepted, but she wanted to be alone with Lily when she asked her. She thought that before the training would be a good time, but they were interrupted right at the start, so she didn’t have the chance.

“Sure, sounds fun! Is it like a casual get-together or more like a fancy party?” Lily wondered.

“Oh, it sure will be the fancier type. Like dresses and all that.” Yelena replied casually.

The color on Lily’s face started to fade and turned pale within a second. Yelena laughed. She already knew what worried her and had made plans for this situation. Still, she couldn’t help but laugh a little when she saw that panicked expression on Lily's face.

“Don’t worry! I already thought of that. I guessed you wouldn’t really have anything to wear for that kind of setting. Truth to be told, neither am I. I wasn’t exactly planning to go to formal events when attending here.” Yelena tried to calm Lily down a little.

“Either way, the party will be on Saturday night. We only have classes until lunch on Saturday. Thought we could get out. Buy us something to wear, maybe… have lunch together. You know it could be a date or something. We basically skipped that part in our relationship.” Yelena already had the speech prepared, yet she still fumbled her words a little.

The worry faded from Lily’s eyes; her lips turned upward. Looks like she liked the idea.

“Yeah, we can do that. We did skip the whole dating part and pretty much jumped on each other from the start.” She giggled a little.

Yelena couldn’t deny that. Their relationship started in a somewhat unusual way. Especially considering that the whole thing started from Yelena being a champion of the goddess of sex and lust.

“Great! We can go right after the last class. If all goes well, we can maybe end by 5 pm, and then we still have time to prepare for the party.” Yelena sounded very enthusiastic about it.

“There is just one thing.” Lily said, her eyes shifted to the door. “I think Valerie might be into you.” She blurted out without even batting an eye.

Yelena’s mouth opened. She didn’t even know what to say at first. There was no way that was true.

“You are… imagining things. That girl doesn’t like anybody but herself.” Yelena argued.

The white-haired girl looked insulted at even the suggestion. Valerie and her? No way. It can’t happen. It won’t happen. Yelena was sure of that. There was no world where she could see that even remotely being a possibility. Sure, she could admit that, but that didn’t mean anything.

Lily shrugged. She was just pointing out what she saw. She didn’t plan to try to convince Yelena or anything.

“We will see, I guess. There will be plenty more training sessions with her.” Lily said and walked towards the door.

It was late at night. Yelena was lying on her bed. She couldn’t sleep. What Lily said was still haunting her thoughts. Could she be right? What would she do if she were? It wasn’t like Yelena was into her. In fact, she found her very unpleasant. Still, she couldn’t deny the princess was pretty and sure had some nice curves. The question is, is that really enough for her?

Not to mention, she was a princess. There was no way she could get intimately involved with her. Not without any proper commitments. Commitments that she sure didn’t want to make. It was not like she could just pump and dump the princess. I would make her and her family look bad. Although she couldn’t deny that she would probably enjoy roughly pounding that bratty girl with her most recently grown part. Maybe that would help to correct her bad personality.

Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. It was late. She didn’t expect anyone to be around. She stood up and walked over to the door. She cracked it open and peeked outside.

It was Thea. Not sure what she wanted this late, but it must be important if she came knocking. Yelena opened the door fully. Thea was standing there in her white nightgown. She looked troubled.

“Is there something wrong?” Yelena asked, with clear concern in her voice.

“Can I… come in?” Thea asked.

Her voice sounded weak. Something was going on; Yelena was sure about it. She stepped aside and let Thea walk inside, then shut the door behind her.

“Thea, what is…” Yelena couldn’t finish her sentence.

The moment the girl turned around to face her friend, Thea threw her arms around her and kissed her. Yelena’s eyes opened wide. She didn’t expect this. It made no sense. Thea didn’t need to help her; she wasn’t suffering from the drawback. That meant only one thing. One thing that the white-haired girl was desperately trying to avoid.

Thea went all in. She pushed her tongue into Yelena’s mouth. The other girl was still too stunned to even move. She felt the passionate wet kiss that her friend was giving her. She couldn’t resist. Yelena started kissing back.

Both of them moved towards the bed. One step at a time. Neither was letting go of the other. Once they arrived, Thea forcefully pushed Yelena onto the bed, then crawled onto it too.

“Thea, what are you… doing?” Yelena asked now that she finally could speak again.

Thea was on her knees right in front of Yelena. She was leaning forward, her arms were on either side of the white-haired girl’s legs. She was looking down. She slowly lifted her head. Thea was fighting back her tears.

“I’m… sorry! I shouldn’t have come. I shouldn’t… have done that.” Her previous bravado was nowhere to be seen.

She looked broken and distressed. Yelena reached out towards her.

“Thea…” She started speaking, but the other girl slapped her hand away.

“No! Don’t… please don’t say anything! I just… don’t know. I thought I was okay with it. That I could move on. But… seeing you with Lily… it hurt. It hurt more than I thought it would.” She admitted.

It was hard for Yelena to see her friend like this. She didn’t say anything. Not yet. She knew Thea needed to finish what she had to say first.

“Tonight… I felt like I couldn’t go on like that. I wanted more. I wanted to be… with you. Even if it is just for this one time. No, that is a lie too. I want to be with you! I don’t care if I’m just a second wife or a concubine for you. It doesn’t matter. I just… don’t want to… be left behind.” Tears started falling from Thea’s eyes.

Despite both trying to deny it, there was no way to do that anymore. Yelena knew how her friend felt. She understood it back then when Thea started helping her with her powers. Yet, she didn’t act on it. She knew it would change how they view each other. That change sounded terrifying.

Thea was the same. She always watched Yelena from afar. She already accepted her role as her friend. She was content with that. She felt it could never be more. Then, Lucia showed up. It changed everything. Thea got a taste of what could be, and now she couldn't let it go.

Yelena reached out with her hands. She placed them on both sides of Thea’s face. With her thumbs, she started wiping the girl’s tears away.

“Shhhh, it is okay! You’ve done nothing wrong.” Yelena tried to calm her friend a little.

Thea shook her head and pulled away from Yelena’s touch. She felt like she didn’t deserve it. Not the touch, not the kind words either.

“How can you say that? I’m a horrible person! I’ve come here to… be with you. Even though you have Lily now. I still didn’t care. Even back then… when you had your problems. I helped, but I was… I was taking advantage of your situation. I didn’t do that to help. I wanted to do it.” She cried and covered her face in shame.

Yelena leaned forward and wrapped her arms around Thea. She pulled her back on top of her in a tight hug.

“I told you, it is okay! I already figured this out. I knew how you felt. I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel the same way.” Thea looked up at Yelena’s face.

“I was scared. I didn’t know where it would lead us. Now, I see that I made a mistake. I know I caused a lot of pain. I’m sorry.” She placed a kiss on Thea’s forehead.

Thea started sobbing even more. She couldn’t understand what was going on. Why was Yelena so kind, despite all she had just said?

“But… but you have… Lily!” Thea had a hard time speaking.

“Yes, I do. Actually, just the other night we had a talk about this. We found out that if I need to increase my powers, I would likely need to be with more than just one person.” Yelena couldn’t help but snort when she said that. She still couldn’t believe it.

“We discussed it together. It seems Lily doesn’t have a problem with that. In fact, she seemed a bit too excited about the idea. Especially hearing about the juicy details, as she put it.” Yelena explained.

Thea gave her an incredulous look. She never would have thought Lily was that kind of girl. Well, she didn’t know her all that much yet, but still.

“So then…” She started, but she cannot bring herself to finish the sentence.

“Yes, that means we can be together too. If that is what you want. Of course, you will have to share with Lily. Unfortunately, there is only one me. Unless the goddess has some power to duplicate me.” Yelena chuckled.

She looked up, seeing Lucia giggling too while shaking her head. Well, she guessed it was too much to ask for.

“Point is, we won’t be exclusive. Hell, I can’t even tell you if there will be more in the future. Seems like these powers are really weird. Either way, if you are okay with that, then there is no problem.” Yelena finished.

Thea thought about it for a minute. In reality, there was nothing to think about. She already made up her mind. She didn’t even think she would get this much. She was just happy she had a chance to be with Yelena.

“Yes, I’m fine with that.” She answered.
