The Forgotten Godking

Flaming Domain and a Furious Demigod…

"Fire Domain..."

The moment those words left the Demigod, a scarlet light suddenly filled Galen's vision, surrounding him in a sphere of red hot flames and denying him any chance of escape.

(Curses!)

Now he was stuck inside the flaming domain along with a fuming Demigod.

A wild grin appeared on Rudolf's mouth now in his towering Wolf form, which looked nothing short of a monstrous calamity.

After all, inside his domain, he was practically invincible.

His awareness spread to every corner of the place, locking Galen's position thoroughly.

Not to mention, in his wolf form his overall strength and speed at least doubled from before.

His endurance also rose to unimaginable levels compared to his weak demi-human form.

Even if Galen somehow slipped past his enhanced perception and land and attack on, he wouldn't feel more than slight discomfort.

Besides, with his massive frame, the mortal could only do so much damage to his body.

Obviously, Galen knew these things.

That's the reason for his current grim expression.

"Tch."

Clicking his tongue in irritation, Galen moved.

In any case, he can't afford to back off now—Not like he could in the first place, considering the precarious situation he was in.

So he did the only thing he could.

He infused three-fourths of his maximum stats into agility, leaving only one-fourth in his vitality, the bare minimum to not die on the spot and threw himself towards the giant standing before him.

But—

Just like he expected, before he could even reach the wolf, the crimson flames adorning his skin, forced him to distance himself.

The flames, infused with celestial mana, threatened to break through his defenses and burn his body.

Seeing that,

"HAHAHA---"

An unrestrained laughter erupted from Rudolf Henry, the sound reverberating inside the enclosed space.

Soon he stopped himself and focused on Galen.

"Damned Mortal..."

"Prepare to face your retribution."

Crouching down for a split second, he burst forth with incredible momentum, one of his long claws threatening to rend Galen's body into countless pieces.

Galen saw him coming and hurriedly retreated.

With his speed, the Demigod wanting to catch him off guard was simply a fool's dream.

But speed alone was not enough.

After running around for some time, just as he was about to dodge another one of those deadly claws, thick walls made of liquid fire blocked all paths of his retreat.

Galen was immediately cornered.

He either has to face the Demigod's attack head on or break through the flame walls.

Neither option seemed like a good choice to Galen as both of them would ultimately make him suffer.

Though, in the end, he decided to wade through the flames rather than facing off against Rudolf directly.

He didn't escape unscathed, however.

As he came out on the other side parts of his were charred black with redness spreading all over his body from the overwhelming heat he just endured.

He wanted to rest and allow his body to recover, but he wasn't given the chance.

Rudolf followed him like a shadow wherever he went.

Another unrelenting chase...

Another imprisonment inside the infernal cage...

Another hard fought escape...

Another pile of injuries...

The pattern continued non-stop with one man running ahead and one wolf hunting him down.

Sometimes Galen was able to escape unscathed.

Other times, he was forced to endure the burning agony as he broke through the encirclement.

By the time Rudolf finally stopped himself out of boredom, Galen was covered in burn wounds from head to toe, his porcelain skin charred to the deepest extent.
