The Unexpected Visitor…
"It seems one way or another, I always end up carrying her somewhere."
On his way back through the thick forest, Galen mused to himself.
"But I won't complain since the weight of her thick, supple thighs on my arms and her boobs pressing against my chest is nothing short of heavenly."
Laughing like an old pervert after finishing his sentence, Galen finally left the forest.
Reaching the car, now surrounded by newly growing plants, he opened the back door and laid the woman in his arms comfortably, before starting the engine and driving back to Rhea's apartment.
By the time he reached the place after slowly wading through the city's traffic, it was already evening and Rhea also woke up at that time.
Walking through the paved paths of her villa with her hands interlocked with Galen's, Rhea felt like they were returning from their honeymoon trip.
In a way it was, if you ignore the fact that the honeymoon had taken place inside a dungeon while surrounded by the blood and gore of ugly goblins.
Anyway, now that they had returned, it was time to partake in a feast as both of them were already starving after a full day of fun on an empty stomach.
Though with their high stats they could somewhat suppress their hunger, it wouldn't completely disappear until one reaches at least the Demigod realm.
Until then, they have to still eat, even if only a small amount, to constantly replenish their lost energy.
Too lazy to cook at the moment, both of them went to a nearby high end restaurant after taking a short bath together.
This time, Galen kept his hands to himself not wanting to tire out his already drained wife.
As Rhea was a regular in that renowned establishment, they were guided to a nice private room with soundproofing walls and furnished with a mahogany dining table at the center and two exquisite chairs on the opposite ends of it.
Galen dressed in a nice suit, and Rhea in a black one piece dress, comfortably sat on their seats and began dishes as per Rhea's recommendations.
But as they began eating, she soon realised something astonishing.
The minimal amount of food she had ordered initially, wasn't even enough to fill her own stomach, let alone Galen's.
Realising her mistake, she told the staff to keep bringing new dishes as they continued to eat.
Only after stuffing themselves with almost forty plates of food – together, did they finally leave the restaurant with satisfied stomachs.
In the end, the restaurant even had to be closed down temporarily after using up all their cooking ingredients on just the two of them.
As they went back, both of them were slightly surprised to see a black Sedan SUV parked outside the gates of Rhea's villa.
As Rhea's car moved beside it, a small emblem on the car's handle caught her eye.
Then without asking about anything, she simply opened the gates remotely and drove inside, the sedan following closely behind.
Dropping off the car, Rhea brought Galen with her and silently entered the residence, leaving the front door purposely open.
After both of them took their seats on one of the sofas in the living room, a man, clad in full black and wearing sunglasses came inside and sat on the opposite couch without a word.
He was a tall middle-aged man with slightly greying temples, an intimidating build and a strict, no-nonsense demeanor.
"You can talk now. Tell me, why are you here?"
Rhea asked with a cold expression.
Without responding, the man took off his sunglasses, shot a look at brief Rhea and then focused his sharp eyes on Galen who was sitting beside her.
All this while, Galen hadn't asked any questions.
He could see that Rhea's mood wasn't very good from the moment she saw that car outside.
But the man's grey eyes looking down on him like he was an inferior being was starting to really irritate him.
Just as he was about to open his mouth, Rhea beat him to it and said to the unexpected visitor.
"He is my man and knows everything about my past with the government. So there's no issue with him being here."
"You can speak freely."
The man took a few seconds to ponder. Eventually he just shrugged and decided to ignore Galen's presence.
I'm Charles, Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles Division.
"It's a pleasure to meet you in person."
"I've actually read your file in the past, Ms. Rhea Everlight,
Or should I call you,
Agent 004, Codenamed – Reaper."
Hearing him talk about her past, Rhea's cold expression only turned even more frosty.
"If you already know about me, you should also know that I don't have a lot of patience, right?"
"Now get to the damn point before I throw you out of my house."
"Yes, ma'am." The officer promptly changed his tone right then, not wanting to offend this death goddess.
"I'm here to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a Dimensional Gate, that had materialised inside the school grounds you've been working for a while."
"Since you are the only one who was last spotted near the Gate, we wanted to see if you know anything about it."
"I only dealt with the monsters outside with the help of my companion here."
"My only goal doing that was to protect my students."
"As for what happened to the Gate after we left the place, I have no idea."
Rhea was fully aware that if she spoke the truth of what happened that day, it would definitely backfire on Galen.
Once the government knows that he is capable of closing down the Gates, there is no telling what they would do to extract any useful information out of him.
Galen was strong of course, but he can't face off against the whole world, not for now at least.
So she lied without batting her eyes.
"Is that your final answer, ma'am?"
" Yes."
"Since you said you dealt with the monsters with this man's help, may I ask you to let me investigate him personally?"
"Mr. Officer..."
"One more word about this and you will only leave this place with one arm, got it?"
At the end of her sentence, a fearsome aura crashed into him like a tidal wave, leaving the man paralyzed in fear.
Thinking that it was enough, Rhea retrieved it after a few seconds, but the man was still frozen in place even after the pressure vanished.
A small clap of her hand finally raised him from his stupor, and the man eventually left the place with wobbly steps while apologizing profusely, his earlier composed demeanor nowhere to be seen.
