Chapter 345 - 1: Establishing an Alliance
New Mission 29: Forming an Alliance
Mission Description: The era of fighting alone in the wasteland is over. We must form alliances with other shelters to face external threats together, share resources and technology, and improve the overall living environment in the wasteland.
Mission Objective: Within 60 days, establish stable alliances with at least two other shelters and conduct at least one joint operation.
Mission Rewards: Successful completion of the mission will grant 1x random Orange Blueprint, 100x Purple Components, and an Alliance Agreement Template. These rewards will aid the shelter’s diplomatic development and resource sharing.
New Mission 30: Cultural Heritage
Mission Description: Our cultural heritage is a vital part of our identity and history. Protecting and passing on this heritage is crucial for educating future generations and preserving cultural diversity.
Mission Objective: Within 90 days, establish a cultural heritage center to collect and display artifacts and materials from before the wasteland.
Mission Rewards: Successful completion of the mission will grant 5x random Blue Blueprints, 500x White Components, and Cultural Education Materials. These rewards will aid the shelter’s cultural education and heritage preservation.
New Mission 31: Environmental Monitoring
Mission Description: As the shelter develops, its impact on the environment grows. We must establish an environmental monitoring system to ensure our activities do not cause irreversible damage to the wasteland’s ecosystem.
Mission Objective: Within 120 days, establish and operate an environmental monitoring network, and regularly collect and analyze environmental data.
Mission Rewards: Successful completion of the mission will grant 4x random Green Blueprints, 30x Primary Energy Modules, and a set of Environmental Monitoring Equipment. These rewards will aid the shelter’s environmental protection and sustainable development.
Ye Yun reviewed the new missions, understanding the importance of each one to the shelter. He immediately summoned Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena to discuss how to delegate the tasks and ensure they would all be carried out effectively to secure the shelter’s safety and growth.
"Leo, Mission 29, forming an alliance, will require your diplomatic skills," Ye Yun said, addressing Leo first. "We need you to lead negotiations with other shelters and forge strong alliances."
Leo nodded seriously. "I’ll start contacting the leadership of other shelters right away to explore the possibility of cooperation and draft an alliance agreement."
Ye Yun turned to Zhou Mei. "Mission 30, Cultural Heritage, is vital for strengthening our sense of cultural identity. Zhou Mei, I need you to take charge of establishing the cultural heritage center, as well as collecting and displaying our cultural legacy."
Zhou Mei nodded in understanding and promised, "I’ll organize a cultural team to gather pre-wasteland artifacts and records. We’ll design a cultural heritage center that not only protects these items but also allows residents to come and see them."
Finally, Ye Yun looked at Lin Hao. "Mission 31, environmental monitoring, will require your expertise. I need you to lead the development of the monitoring system. We have to ensure our activities don’t harm the environment."
Lin Hao replied firmly, "I’ll organize a research team to design and establish the environmental monitoring network. We will regularly analyze the environmental data to ensure our shelter can develop sustainably."
Under Ye Yun’s direction, the three teams began their respective tasks. Each team understood their responsibilities and was ready to do their part for the shelter’s future.
Leo began contacting representatives from other shelters. Through radio and couriers, he conveyed their desire to form an alliance and invited them for talks.
"The challenges we face are shared. Only by uniting can we survive," Leo said during a meeting with a representative from another shelter. "We can share resources and defend against external threats together."
Meanwhile, Zhou Mei started organizing the cultural team. They gathered artifacts from within the shelter and designed the layout for the cultural heritage center.
"These artifacts are our precious treasures; we need to protect them well," Zhou Mei said while inspecting the items. "At the same time, we must also allow our residents to get a close look and learn about our cultural heritage."
Lin Hao led the research team and began designing the environmental monitoring network. They installed various sensors around the shelter to monitor air, water, and soil quality.
"We need to ensure our activities don’t cause irreversible damage to the environment," Lin Hao said while checking a sensor. "This monitoring network will help us detect problems early and take measures to solve them."
As the missions progressed, the residents of the shelter once again felt the power of unity and cooperation. Through their combined efforts, their home became safer, more stable, and more beautiful.
With the completion of the new missions, the shelter’s strength increased significantly. The alliance gave them more allies and resources, the cultural heritage center gave them a stronger sense of cultural identity, and the environmental monitoring network ensured their development would not come at the cost of the environment.
Ye Yun expressed high praise for the completion of the tasks. He knew that these achievements were only possible thanks to the effort and contribution of every resident. At a general assembly for all residents, Ye Yun gave a passionate speech:
"My dear residents, we have once again proven the power of unity. It is because of everyone’s combined efforts that we have been able to overcome countless difficulties and achieve what we have today. Our shelter has grown stronger, and our home has become a better place. For that, I want to express my most sincere gratitude to every single person who has contributed to our shelter."
