Global Shelter Game

Chapter 342 - 259: Danger 2

Outside the shelter, the Wasteland World remained a place filled with danger and uncertainty. But Ye Yun and his team were prepared. No matter what difficulties the future held, they would face them head-on.

They believed that as long as they were united and worked together, the shelter’s future would be bright. And they would become the builders and Guardians of this new world.

Meanwhile, the data Bena’s team brought back was being sorted and categorized. Researchers discovered some new designs for energy technology and defense systems, which promised to improve the shelter’s energy efficiency and defensive capabilities.

Ye Yun was very pleased with these results. He knew these advancements would bring greater hope and development to the shelter.

He encouraged the research team to continue their hard work, to keep exploring and innovating.

However, as the shelter expanded and developed, new challenges arose one after another.

Some hostile forces had taken notice of the shelter’s prosperity and began to secretly plot against it.

Ye Yun received intel that some unidentified individuals were approaching the shelter with unknown intentions.

"We need to heighten our security. We can’t let external threats destroy our home," Ye Yun said gravely at the meeting.

Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena all agreed. They began to formulate a plan to strengthen the shelter’s defenses.

After learning of the threat from the Desert Wolf, Ye Yun quickly gathered the shelter’s core members to discuss countermeasures.

Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena sat around the long table in the conference room, their faces etched with seriousness.

"We can’t just wait passively. We have to take the initiative," Ye Yun said, breaking the silence, his gaze firm and powerful.

Lin Hao nodded, his fingers tapping lightly on the tabletop as he considered possible tactics:

"We can use the complex terrain of the wasteland to set up a series of traps and ambush points. The Desert Wolf aren’t familiar with this environment. That will be our advantage."

"That’s right," Zhou Mei added. "We can place traps along their likely routes, like deep pits and sharp spikes. At the same time, using the cover of night, we can position snipers at high points for surveillance and strikes."

Leo added:

"Our fortifications need to be reinforced as well. We need to ensure every entrance to the shelter has adequate defenses, like strengthening the walls and setting up roadblocks and spiked barriers."

Bena then proposed his own plan:

"I’ll select a group of agile and experienced Warriors to form a quick reaction squad. Once the Desert Wolf fall into our traps, we can strike quickly and take them by surprise."

After hearing everyone’s input, Ye Yun began to formulate a detailed plan of action. He assigned tasks to each person, ensuring every part of the plan was covered.

"Lin Hao, you’re in charge of setting up the traps and ambushes. Zhou Mei and Leo, you two will reinforce the fortifications. Bena, the formation and training of the quick reaction squad is on you," Ye Yun ordered.

A few days later, under Ye Yun’s leadership, the shelter’s residents began their tense preparations.

They dug deep pits in the wasteland, laid out sharp spikes, and set up sniper nests on high ground. The fortifications were also being feverishly reinforced; the walls were strengthened, and multiple obstacles were placed at the entrances.

Bena’s quick reaction squad was also training intensely. They practiced rapid assembly and learned how to quickly locate and engage targets in the dark. A single belief was instilled in every team member: protect our home, never retreat.

Finally, on a moonless night, the Desert Wolf’s forces crept toward the shelter. They split into several small groups, attempting to infiltrate silently. However, the moment they stepped into the pre-set trap zone, they triggered the alarms.

"Go!" Ye Yun commanded from the command room, his voice reaching the ears of every Guardian via radio.

Instantly, the shelter’s defense systems fully activated. Traps were sprung, and the spikes in the deep pits impaled the bodies of the Desert Wolf. Snipers on the high ground opened fire, bullets streaking across the night sky in deadly arcs.

The quick reaction squad also charged out, weapons in hand, rushing toward the intruders. The Desert Wolf forces were caught completely off guard, their formation instantly thrown into chaos.

Some of the werewolves tried to fight back but were quickly suppressed by precise shots and swift assaults. Bena’s squad moved like ghosts in the night, silently reaping the lives of their enemies.

After a night of fierce battle, the Desert Wolf’s forces were utterly crushed. Their bodies lay scattered across the wasteland, becoming nutrients for the land.

The shelter’s residents were exhausted, but their eyes shone with the light of victory.

Ye Yun walked out of the command room and stood on a high vantage point, looking out over the scene. He knew this victory was not just due to their thorough preparations, but also because of their love for their home and their respect for life.

"We did it," Ye Yun said to Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena as they walked over. "But we can’t let our guard down. There are still more challenges waiting for us in the wasteland."

"We’re ready," Lin Hao replied, his gaze firm. "No matter what difficulties the future holds, we’ll face them together."

Zhou Mei and Leo nodded in agreement, while Bena said, "This is our home, our shelter. We will protect it with our lives."

The residents of the shelter gathered to celebrate their victory. They sang, danced, and shared their joy. Although they knew this was just one battle among countless others, they were more convinced than ever that as long as they were united, there was no difficulty they couldn’t overcome.

Ye Yun watched the celebrating crowd, his heart filled with warmth. He knew they hadn’t just won a battle; they had won hope for the future.

In this perilous Wasteland World, their shelter was like a beacon, illuminating the path forward and giving people courage and strength.

With the battle over, the shelter’s research team began studying the corpses of the mysterious creatures. They hoped to gain new insights that could further advance the shelter’s technological level.

"Ye Yun, we’ve found some very peculiar energy structures inside these creatures’ bodies," Amy, the head of the research team, reported to Ye Yun.

Ye Yun was very excited by this. "This is a major breakthrough. Continue your research and see if we can apply these energy structures to improve our own technology."

Amy nodded. "We’ve already started the relevant experiments. I believe we’ll have more results in the near future."

Ye Yun patted Amy’s shoulder, satisfied. "Good. Your efforts will bring about a huge transformation for the shelter."

In the shelter’s laboratory, the research team conducted an in-depth analysis and study of the mysterious creatures’ corpses.

They discovered some new types of biological energy structures, which were far beyond the shelter’s current technological level.

"The efficiency and stability of these energy structures are astonishing," Dr. Zhang, the biologist, said, showing the team some special biological tissue samples. "If we can master the principles of how these energy structures work, our own energy technology will be greatly enhanced."

"Ye Yun, we’ve also found some special genetic sequences in these creatures," Dr. Li, the geneticist, said, pointing at some complex gene maps. "These sequences might be related to their powerful energy metabolism. If we can utilize these genes, we might be able to develop new medical technologies."

Ye Yun was very pleased with these results. He knew these advancements would bring greater hope and development to the shelter.

He encouraged the research team to continue their hard work, to keep exploring and innovating.
