Global Shelter Game

Chapter 339 - 258: Scientific Research Team

When the first rays of sunlight fell upon the shelter’s grounds, all was calm again.

The shelter’s residents emerged from their homes. Looking at their defeated enemies, they were filled with pride and confidence.

Ye Yun stood on high ground, gazing at the land they had defended with their blood and sweat, his heart filled with emotion. He knew that as long as they were united, there was no difficulty they couldn’t overcome.

"We did it. We defended our home," Ye Yun said to everyone. "But this is just the beginning. We must continue to work hard and make the shelter even stronger."

The shelter’s residents cheered in unison. They knew that in this Wasteland World, they had found their own light and hope.

Meanwhile, in the shelter’s laboratory, the research team was also continuing their work. They believed that through constant exploration and innovation, they could discover more knowledge and technology, providing powerful support for the shelter’s development.

At the same time, the mission light screen popped up before Ye Yun again.

New Mission 1: Technological R&D

Mission Description: As the shelter’s technology continues to develop, further research into new technologies is required to enhance productivity and defensive capabilities.

Objective: Within 30 days, develop one new technology or improve an existing one.

Reward: 1x Random Purple Blueprint, 20x Purple Components

New Mission 2: Resource Allocation

Mission Description: The shelter’s resource distribution needs to be optimized to ensure the smooth progress of various construction projects.

Objective: Within 20 days, establish an efficient resource allocation system to ensure rational distribution of resources.

Reward: 2x Random Blue Blueprints, 500x Blue Components, 1000x White Components

New Mission 3: Environmental Modification

Mission Description: The harsh environment surrounding the shelter affects the residents’ lives and resource development.

Objective: Within 40 days, complete at least one environmental modification project to improve the area around the shelter.

Reward: 4x Random Green Blueprints, 800x White Components, 100x Plant Seeds

Ye Yun studied the new missions, understanding the importance of each one to the shelter.

He immediately summoned Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena to discuss how to assign the tasks.

"Lin Hao, you and the research team will be in charge of New Mission 1, Technological R&D. I’m confident you can bring us a technological leap forward," Ye Yun said to Lin Hao.

Lin Hao nodded, his eyes shining with a passion for research and a thirst for innovation. "I’ll lead the team and give my all to developing new technology."

Ye Yun turned to Zhou Mei and Leo. "New Mission 2, Resource Allocation, is vital to the shelter’s operations. You two will be responsible for establishing an efficient resource allocation system."

Zhou Mei and Leo acknowledged their understanding and promised, "We will ensure that every resource is utilized to its maximum effect."

Finally, Ye Yun looked at Bena. "New Mission 3, Environmental Modification, will require your strategy and execution. Improve our living environment and make the shelter more habitable."

Bena replied firmly, "I will organize a team, draw up a plan, and make our home a better place."

Following Ye Yun’s arrangements, the three teams began their respective missions. Each team understood its responsibility and would contribute its strength to the shelter’s future.

With the new missions assigned, every member of the shelter threw themselves into intense but orderly work. They knew that the successful completion of these tasks would directly impact the shelter’s future and the life of every resident.

Lin Hao stood before the laboratory’s control console, his eyes glued to the complex data and charts displayed on the screen. Behind him, his team members bustled about their tasks. Some observed samples under microscopes, some recorded experimental data, and others calibrated equipment.

"Lin Hao, we’ve completed the preliminary analysis of the energy source sample," said Dr. Li, the team’s chemist, as he walked over. "Its molecular structure is unlike any substance we know."

Lin Hao turned and took the report from Dr. Li. "Excellent. This is exactly the breakthrough we needed. We need to further understand its stability and energy release mechanism."

"We’re trying to build an energy model for it," interjected Engineer Wang, a physicist. "But this energy source’s reaction conditions are very particular. We need precise control over the experimental environment."

"Then let’s adjust the experimental protocol," Lin Hao said decisively. "We need to simulate its reaction in different environments to find the optimal conditions for energy release."

Everyone in the lab was assigned a specific task. They began adjusting the equipment, preparing for the next round of experiments. Lin Hao walked over to a large piece of experimental apparatus and carefully checked every port and switch.

"Attention, we’re about to begin the next round of experiments," Lin Hao announced to the team. "Everyone, return to your stations and ensure all data is recorded in real-time."

The researchers quickly took their positions, and the atmosphere in the lab grew more tense. Lin Hao switched on the device’s power. Beams of light began to intertwine inside the experiment chamber, forming a complex web of light.

"Begin adjusting the energy input," Lin Hao commanded.

The team members began operating their respective consoles, gradually increasing the energy input. The data on the screen showed the energy source’s reaction state, and every change tugged at their nerves.

"Energy output is starting to rise," Engineer Wang reported nervously, "but we haven’t reached the expected efficiency yet."

"Continue increasing the input," Lin Hao directed calmly, "but watch the safety threshold. We can’t let the experiment get out of control."
