Chapter 26: He earned it
The first thing I felt was Ruby’s eager mouth swallowing my cock whole, her fiery hair spilled across my thighs as she hummed around my shaft. "Good morning, my lord," she purred, pulling off with a lewd pop—her ember eyes glinting mischief.
Shandon straddled my face before I could reply, her thighs squeezing my temples as she ground her soaked pussy against my lips. "You promised to taste me first today," she chided, though her hips rolled with needy abandon. I obliged, lapping at her swollen folds until her gasp vibrated through me.
Opal watched with regal amusement, tracing a claw down my chest. "Patience, sisters. Our lord’s stamina is not infinite." A lie—she knew damn well my levels and the mana in their bodies stoked an insatiable hunger. She proved it by sliding her leg over my hip, guiding my free hand to her dripping slit. "But I do require attention."
Aquamarine, ever the shyest, hesitated—until Cecilia’s groaning complaint broke the rhythm. "Ugh… too much dragon meat last night," the human whined, rubbing her temples. Aqua seized the opportunity, sucking her tits. "Mana restorative," she murmured… then smirked as her fingers slid beneath Cecilia’s waistband. "And this will wake you faster."
The human’s squeal when Aqua’s fingers plunged into her asshole was delicious. Ruby giggled around my cock. "Aqua! When did you get so bold?"
"Last night," Shandon panted, shuddering as my tongue circled her clit. "When she rode his face backwards while Opal fucked his fingers."
Cecilia’s back arched as I added a second digit to her tight hole, scissoring her open. "F-Fuck! I’m still sore from Ruby double-penetrating me with that tail of hers!"
Opal’s laugh was velvet. "Then you’ll love what we’ve planned for breakfast."
Aquamarine bit my earlobe, her voice a sultry whisper: "Hold her down, my lord. She craves it rough today."
And who was I to deny my girls?
Now, the room smells of sex, sweat, and the faint ozone-tang of dragon magic. Ruby is the first to collapse against my chest, her spent body limp, her lips still sticky with my cum. I stroke her hair as she nuzzles into me.
"Did my lord enjoy his wake-up call?" she murmurs, her usual mischief softened by exhaustion.
"Always," I reply, kissing her forehead.
Shandon, usually so competitive, drapes herself over my side, her scales shimmering faintly as she cools down. "You bit me," she accuses, but there’s no heat in it—just a lazy smirk. I thumb the mark on her thigh. "You loved it." She huffs but doesn’t deny it.
Opal, ever composed, retrieves a damp cloth and begins cleaning my fingers—the same ones that had just been inside her. There’s something *intimate* in the way she tends to me, her touch deliberate. "We mustn’t neglect hygiene," she chides, but her fingers linger on my wrist a heartbeat too long.
Aquamarine—*shy again now that the lust has faded*—helps Cecilia sit up. "Better?" she asks softly. Cecilia nods, still catching her breath, and leans into Aqua’s touch. "Still sore… but in the *best* way."
Ruby giggles, tracing idle patterns on my chest. "Next time, we’ll make sure you’re *properly* wrecked."
Shandon rolls her eyes. "Next time, you’re *last*."
"Enough," I say, pulling them both closer. "Let’s rest a bit. You’ve earned it."
And just like that, my girls settle against me—a tangle of limbs, scales, and satisfied sighs.
After a little while, we decide to wake up. I have to say, I never imagined, during my days in my previous life, that I would be having something like this, daily. I did have a good life, and I had had some girlfriends, but nothing like this. This feels like fiction.
We go downstairs, for our breakfast, some dragon meat barbecue in the secret dismantling room. We are all eating our barbecue, and I am giving some slices of meat to Muninn, of course.
After we are done, Muninn is on top of table, he seems a little sleepy, and he just passes out. I turn to the girls.
“Girls, Muninn is sick! Shandon, can you get Cecilia? Opal, do you know anything about how to treat birds?”
I look at him with several of my senses. I don’t see anything wrong in particular, but his mana circuits and his mana in general is just pulsating of sorts. Instead of having mana absorbed and slowly released, like normal, it would go all in a wave, and create these turbulences around him. It was, somehow, connected to his soul, but I didn’t really know what to do. I had nothing to compare to. I was afraid that the neutron crystals might get in the way of something, so I removed them all.
Cecilia gets downstairs, and see the girls and I looking at a limp Muninn. I am really sad, I really grew attached to him. He is part of the team. He has been with me for a way more continuous time than the girls, for that matter. At the demon lands, close by during the fights. He even helped alerting against monsters. This was just not fair.
And I thought I cared well for him. I am hoping this is not my fault. I mean, Cecilia occasionally has some mana hangovers, because of high mana concentration steaks we have been eating. Would this have hurt him? I pet him a little bit, thinking that I may have broken my little buggar. He is completely limp.
I create a little portal to Leopold’s office.
“Leopold, can you hear me? I really need some help.”
“Sure. Can you come over?”
I portal to his office, I am carrying a limp Muninn.
“Do you have someone that can help?”
“Oh, we might have some druids downstairs.”
We both go midway the stairs, and Leopold shouts, “Oh, my brave adventurers… Is there any manly druid here? There is an issue with my dear’s here pet… Oh, who can help me now? I will give you a coin of go-old.”
Three people stand up, two men and woman. All of them were wearing the skin of animals. The woman was wearing the head of a fox, while one man was wearing a wolf, and the other, a cheetah’s head. I look at them, and tell Leopold to get the woman, she has a higher level than the other two. She comes over, and we go to Leopold’s office.
She enters, and looks at the dragonesses with a very weird look. And then she sees Muninn. She comes close, and inspects him. She lifts his wing, limp. She lifts his head, limp. She stares at him, and then gives a step back.
“HOW?”
She grabs my collar. I don’t move, I don’t really care.
“How did you do it? Where did you get him?”
“As far as I know, he is a forest crow. I just fed him a little, he started coming with me.”
She looks back at him.
“I have to see this. My pack is going to phreak out when they hear this! I never imagined I’d be present!”
“What is happening to him?”
Muninn started convulsing. I was really worried now.
“He is evolving.”
He grew a little. He was now a borderline size, just a little bigger than a big crow would be. Something that could pass as a unusually large crow. His feathers became shinier. Some feathers above his eyes fell down, just a couple of them, he got this bald spot, with a vertical scar.
He started moving again, very slowly. His wings. He looked drunk. He slowly stood up, and then looked at me. The druid was clapping her hands.
“By the gods, by the gods, by the gods, I never thought I would see one.”
“What?”
The scar on Muninn’s head opened up.
“A three-eyed crow.”
He cawed, stared me in the face.
Leopold placed a gold coin in the druid’s hand.
“Oh my, oh my. Don’t forget it, dear, at least five silver in that gold coin are for your silence, ok? You saw a sick pet, you healed the pet, my friend was worried on having a snake as pet, all that judgement, all that prejudice, this world is so cruel on us, sensitive souls! It’s so hard to be this strong person I am!”
And kept pushing the druid towards to door.
“If you forget what you saw, I might even give you another gold.”
Before closing the door, she extended her hand. Leopold gave her another gold coin, and closed the door after her.
He did his silence magic.
“Ok, now we are alone.”
“What happened, exactly?”
“Well, she said it. He evolved.”
Leopold went to his bookcase, grabbed one of the books, and started to look for a page. He continued.
“It is said that, upon receiving mana rich food, an animal or monster can evolve. That doesn’t happen often in the wild because that would mean hunting something way above your punch. But… What have you been feeding him?”
“Last week, bullgoose. Today, some dragon meat. But yes, it varies. He likes meat, though.”
He pinched the bridge of his nose.
“Do you have any idea how expensive those things are? No, of course you don’t. Please don’t mention that to anyone. You already have reasons for people to hate you.”
And he looked at the girls. Muninn took a short flight and landed on my shoulder.
“Here, Three-eyed crow, also known as Crow King. They have an absurd intelligence level, and with the help of other crows can create traps for adventurers. It is really shy, very difficult to spot. Some say that the third eye can be used to look into the future, but this is, most probably, a tale. It is said from some eventual encounters that its intelligence allows it to understand the communication between adventurers, making group fights that much harder. It is immune to mental effects, such as aggro or war cries, and that makes them very dangerous. They also have some resistance to other magic in general, and possess wind magic.”
I looked at him.
“Dude, you’re awesome.”
He lifted his head and closed his eyes. I petted him in the chest. I took out a couple of gold coins to pay Leopold back. He refused.
“I have a whole new ‘no sneezing’ account that the upper echelon created. If I don’t spend it, next year my budget will be smaller.”
I shrugged. I didn’t really want to exploit anyone, much less those people that were actually helping me, but I accepted the favor.
“Thank you. And thank you for helping with this.”
“No problem. Cecilia, did you start looking for the bed yet? My ear hurts because of you. The upper echelon cut me a hard one over the Comm Gem already.”
“Sir yes sir!”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah. Since you’re already around, get something ordered at the ‘My Wood is Hard’. The guy there is a little weird, but he is honest and his work is very good.”
“I never imagined you would ever call someone weird… Now I am scared… But I will make sure I order it.”
I decide to go home first, the girls come with me.
“I will meet you there on the store in a little bit, Cecs. I don’t want to come down through the guild now. After all that thing with the druid, people will be very curious on what’s going on.”
I open a portal to Frolk, and we go straight to our room. I place my finger close to Muninn’s paw, he jumps on it, and then I place him on the table.
“Hey, little dude, I had to remove the skin, claws and beak spell, to allow you to grow. Do you want me to put it back on?”
“He does a little jump forward, and caws.”
I start doing it, rebuilding the neutron crystal scales. Then all the hard parts neutron crystals. My control over mana and the particles is much finer now, and things are done much more efficiently. I finish it in less than an hour.
“My lord, what are you doing?”
“I have come up with a way to reinforce skin, and some hard areas. I am applying it to Muninn.”
“My lord, why not us?”
“Because I am worried about the transformation. Do you remember that the first thing I did when we brought Muninn to the guild, I undid these? I was worried that we might have to do some operation, but it was actually a good thing. He grew. I don’t know what would have happened. Unless we do some test with something that change shapes before, it is a complicated bet.”
“How strong is it?”
“Currently, my reinforced armor is more of a distraction. I have scales on my skin, but they are so small, that they cannot be perceived by the eyes, unless you inject a lot of mana on the eyes and the brain as well. I made it so the bottom scale has a kind of hook that goes over the top one, so that I don’t risk something stabbing against the scale. It is a material that I was able to develop, and it is much more resistant than other things I have seen around. That’s why Muninn was able to tear that mithril shield apart.
“I did something similar to this sword.”
I show them my sword. It reflects everything as if it was a mirror, they take a look.
“Pretty…”
“Let’s go downstairs.”
We go to the underground dismantling room, and there is the leather on the table, I had taken it out, and the leg hanging from the ceiling. I get a tip of the leather on the table.
“Try to cut this with a normal knife.”
Their knives won’t cut it. The edge goes away, and becomes blunt. I let them borrow my sword.
“Now try this. Easy. Don’t ever grab the edge, you may get cut. ”
Shandon tries, and she cuts the leather and the table with it, as if it was butter. She raises the blade, and looks at, astonished.
“Yup. I might work on it in the near future, there are some other stuff that I would like to try. My current problem is that the blade underneath the thing I did is too bad. This was originally an iron sword.”
“Not even steel?”
“Nope. Iron. I was a starting adventurer. Things are just happening too fast. It feels like it was years ago. At least it should be.”
I giggled a little. At this point, I remember, I forgot about Cecilia, we have to go meet her, perhaps pick her up.
“Let go up, dress adventurer casual, something like the people in the guild would, and go meet Cecilia.”
We go up, get all ready, and I portal us to the woods outside Orora. As we get inside the city, we see Cecilia, she is going into the guild. We meet up, and go together. We all go up, to Leopold’s office again.
“Mission accomplished, sir yes sir!”
“So the bed was ordered?”
“Yes.”
“When is it going to be delivered?”
“In a week.”
“And the mattress?”
…
“The mattress? Did you order a mattress?”
“Well, no…”
I was curious.
“What do you guys use to stuff the mattresses with?”
“Well, it depends. It can be pieces of fabric that are going to be thrown out. Finer ones can be filled with feathers. The feathers are generally better in terms of temperature and comfort, but way more expensive. It’s not like it’s easy to go to the forest and start collecting, them. There are some that are produced by elves, but they are an expensive import.”
“And what about the external part?”
“Generally some cheap leather, like cow leather. Then everything gets sown together. Why?”
“What if I can find enough feathers?”
“Where are you going to find them? You do know that your bird doesn’t have enough, right?”
Muninn caws, and land on my shoulder, kind of hiding behind my head.
“I have an idea, let me see.”
Cecilia and the girls are really curious, looking at me. I open the portal back to Frolk. I ask Cecilia, and she hands me a big empty bag. Really, really big. It was used to receive a lot of food in. We go to the forest. The girls are following.
When we get to a point in the forest, I turn to Muninn.
“Muninn, can you call all the friends you have around?”
Muninn shoots up, and does this very high cawing, and lands on a branch in the tree. I tie the cloth bag to a tree, in a way that it stays open, so that one can actually throw something in. I portal myself to the area closer to the Nursery, and capture a Fenrir. It should be enough. Then I go back, bringing out the Fenrir.
When I get there, the trees are already full of crows. There are crows everywhere. I hang the Fenrir upside down, and start skinning it. There are still more and more crows around.
As I finish skinning the Fenrir, I call Muninn to my shoulder. A crow tries to land on the Fenrir, but Muninn shoves it. I turn to him.
“Can you get your friends to bring feathers and place them on that bag? Not their feathers, just feathers on the forest floor. Now, the feathers have to be intact, and I don’t want any of your buddies to risk themselves in the process.”
Muninn caws towards me. Then he caws to sky. All the crows are looking at him. He goes to the floor, and catches a feather on his beak. He stays there a moment. He then flies to the top of the bag. Holds the feather there for a couple of seconds. He then drops the feather in the bag. He caws, and he goes to the Fenrir carcass, and takes out a bite. And caws again.
I turn to the girls.
“Now let’s see how good his majesty’s subjects are.”
Muninn lands on a branch on the tree. Another crow comes, and tries for the meat directly. Muninn caws, and it stops. It looks at Muninn, and goes to the ground, picks a feather, and drops it in the bag. It goes for the meat, and Muninn caws again. It goes to the ground again, and this time collects half a dozen feathers, and places them on the bag. It looks again at Muninn, and goes to the meat. Muninn is silent. Then it eats some of the Fenrir, caws and leaves.
Then, two other crows do that. Then four. Then half a dozen. Then there is this black cloud of moving around this part of the forest.
I notice that the bag is going to fill before the Fenrir is over. It is a big beast, after all.
“Cecilia, do you have another bag in the guild?”
“Yes, I have a couple of them. They are to the right side of the sink, in the cabinet.”
“Shonda, would you mind going there and picking them? You’re going to be faster than Cecilia, and I would like to stay here to keep company to Muninn… After all, it is his subjects that are doing the work.”
“Yes, my lord.”
Shonda goes running, and when she comes back the first bag is already full. I hang the second bag and put the first one away. Shonda brought three more bags.
Once we are almost finishing up the third bag, we are running low on Fenrir meat.
“Cecs, how many bags do you think we need?”
She checks the weight of the bags.
“I don’t really know, but if I had guess… Perhaps some more?”
We hang the last bag, and empty the other ones inside my magic bag and sterilize them, and then I hunt another Fenrir, to keep the thing fair and going.
We end up with around seven humongous bags of feathers in my magic bag. Most of the feathers are actually black. Just having an unusual amount of crows in the neighborhood actually made that happen. Specially since now and then Muninn and his friends would hunt, some feathers would always get lost.
Once the second Fenrir is gone, we portal back to Orora’s woods, and go to the leather workshop.
“Hello, gents. How can I help you?”
Cecilia is the one that talks for the group.
“We would like a mattress done. The dimensions are six and half by nine feet.”
“It is going to take a lot of leather, and a lot of filling. I can provide the leather, for for five silver. Plus three silver of work. I don’t deal with the cloth scraps, though. You have to provide it.”
He takes us to a room inside, there is absolutely humongous cloth bag, hanging open against the wall.
“You can put the cloth scraps there.”
I look at the bag, it is completely empty. I put my magic bag over it, and pull all the feathers out. The bag is now full of feathers, to the brink.
“Can we use feathers?”
The leathersmith had his mouth gaping. Cecilia placed five silver coins on the table.
“We are paying the rest against delivery. Remember, your client is the guild.”
And we leave the store. It’s already late, and we go home. Time to have dinner, and feed Muninn a lot of dragon meat. He earned it.
